having spent the last 15 years playing flight sims and thinking i was quite good at it,along came Black Shark. Its been 3 weeks now since i first climbed into the bird and after many many hours of crashing, rolling, spinning and burning i think i finally have it. practice really is the key thing here, also reading the many superb posts in these and other forums and watching hours of video and the excellent director notes....i can finally fly the thing, well almost.:music_whistling: i havent even killed anything yet but i dont care.i can take off, hover, move around and stop:megalol: im only writing this to those people who were like me,about to quit and uninstall black shark.. its sooo worth the effort and time, but i guess im preaching to the converted.:smilewink: and just remember when the wife tells you to ' stop playing that bloody game'...just tell her its a fully modulated interactive learning experience....then run for cover. this has to be the friendliest and most helpful bunch of fellow simmers i have ever met,so thanks to everyone. richard3 points

I *MAY* have something that could help someone else like it helped me....I didn't notice this info anywhere else but I am just learning the sim and my way around this forum after lurking here for several weeks...... Among the many, many, many problems I have had in learning this sim has been the poor and/or over responsiveness of my X52. Trim just seemed to make it crash faster and it was not predictable how far the stick needed pushed one time to trim it as opposed to the next to get the same result. ...something wrong..... ....axis tune showed cyclic y off center and very jittery.....cyclic axis x centered but "slewed" at an angle instead of a straight line when pushed (if that makes any sense). Basically, i think my calibration was off and I couldn't find any way to fix it besides deadzones, saturation, positive s-curves, etc etc.....i even tried the DX Tweak and a logitech calibration tool found on this forum deep down there somewhere.....this is a NEW X52....shouldn't be this way, i thought. I haven't had to *calibrate* a joystick since windows 95 and the FIRST Jane's Apache sim..... anyways..... a google search determines this post on "Flyaway" forum at http://flyawaysimulation.com/postlite25404-.html ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your problem is your registry. I had this problem and it took some time to figure it wasn't anything I could have fixed easily. The following is an excerpt from a Saitek email. In some cases, the calibration for the controller may be off. This may be an issue with a corrupted initial calibration of the controller. The following instructions involve changes to the Windows Registry. The registry is a very sensitive part of Windows and removing or editing the wrong value can cause a multitude of problems. See about making a backup of the registry before proceeding. In case you screw up! Do the following at your own risk! But this worked for me and within ten minutes my x52 was working. click Start, and Run. Type in "regedit". - click on the plus sign next to " HKEY_LOCAL_machine" - click on the plus sign next to "System" - click on the plus sign next to "Current ControlSet" - click on the plus sign next to "Control" - click on the plus sign next to "MediaProperties" - click on the plus sign next to "Privateproperties" - click on the plus sign next to "DirectInput" - Look for keys starting with VID_06A3 and delete them. - Close the registry editor by clicking on Registry at the top then click exit. - Reboot your machine. -Recalibrate the controller by twisting the joystick, then rotate it around several times. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It worked for ME!! All my deadzones are centered, no jittery axis anywhere, completely centered and normally responsive and trim is a WONDERFUL THING now....no wonder everyone here is so happy........it was like trying to fly the helicopter drunk, i think....now i can finally get down to learning stuff.2 points

For over a year (since switching to Vista) I've had an irritating sound issue that reared its ugly head in several ways but the two most obvious were a very high pitched N2 Turbine noise in the Ka-50 (which I had partially solved by opening and closing the cockpit door) and a loud afterburner sound on the ramp in LockOn. I searched forums and was pointed to all sorts of sound.cfg files to screw up and comments about a "known issue with Vista" but never hit on a solution until a recent search at simhq.com hit on a passing mention of Creative Alchemy. That solved both problems instantly. All of you probably already know this which would explain the lack of complaints about X-Fi sound. But for those in the dark, like me, I hope this helps. That would be the P-63A-6 King Cobra then, or is there even more specific designation?1 point

Actually I want to see exact designation of this Bell airplane model (they all of the same type there). Pictures of this junkyard were taken near abandoned airfield on some of north Kuril islands, perhaps on Paramushir island. From there to Tokyo is about 2100 km (1280 miles) along the straight line.1 point

Does not matter much. They are mirrors. Choose first if you have better pings to European servers, or the second, if you have better connection to USA.1 point

Hannibal, keeping in mind that we don 't know yet what DCS:A10C will be able to output, video-wise... It has been reported that the currently available ATI HD5870 cards (which have 1 Display Port, 2 DVI ports and 1 HDMI port) can only provide output to a 3rd DVI monitor by utilizing an *active* Display Port-to-DVI converter. I do not know how reliable all of those DVI outputs are for being adapted or VGA. I would think that it would function OK, but I wouldn't make that assumption at this time. Since you mention the Matrox TH2Go... that would certainly seem to be a means to get those 7" LCDs connected, fed by the Display Port converted to DVI. However, it remains to be seen if DCS:A10C will have the capability to use them that way... Eventually, the HD5870 Eyefinity6 edition will be available (I'd guess in time for Christmas), which will have 6 mini-Display Port connectors. I have not read anything yet about whether that version will require active adapters to get converted to DVI or VGA. Since it seems unlikely that all 4 of the video signals you are looking at will be all part of a single view/desktop, a second video card may be a route worth consideration. Assuming the MFD displays would be using separate images from the camera view, they may not need to be using eyefinity. You may be able to use a lesser ATI card to feed the 7" displays. I'd say at this point that we really need more infomation to get nailed down before you can make informed plans.1 point

п. барахло:joystick:1 point
