Dedicated to the community, V1.7 of my Editor MOD is available here: Lockon User Files and here: STP Forum (please hit "Refresh" if you see the old image) By installing this MOD the following features are added or changed in BS Mission Editor Coalitions Now you can change coalitions at any time. Click on the new coalitions icon to open the coalitions dialog. Trigger Editor Newly created trigger objects will be inserted into the trigger list behind the currently selected trigger item - not at the end anymore. In trigger dialog, there now are arrow buttons at the top of each listbox, so you can move the currently selected item one position up or down within the list. The new "CLONE" buttons below each of the lists create a deep copy of the currently selected trigger, rule or action and insert it behind the selected element. Changed the width of the two trigger edits "Name" and "Type" to enhance readability. If this proves to be helpful other edit box widths could be changed as well in future releases In trigger dialog, there now are two rule lists that are AND or OR combineable. The two modes ((OR) AND (OR)) and ((AND) OR (AND)) can be selected by pressing the new buttons "(A) AND (B)" and "(A) OR (B)" between the lists. It's up to you to leave one list empty. Existing missions created in older or unmodded installations are compatible and can be edited without limitations. Missions containing AND/OR triggers are runtime compatible with unmodded hosts. Unit List The new button "CLONE" creates a deep copy of the currently selected unit group including waypoints, targets, target categories, units, their payloads and liveries. The new buttons "SHOW ALL", "HIDE ALL" and "TOGGLE" work like their counterparts in the trigger list dialog but only the visible list elements are affected.   5. This is sort of a crossover thread from something similar at the Commanders Round Table forums. I'm merely posting this poll here because its something I believe people should voice their opinions on. Its no secret the F-15 has received a performance boost in FC2 over what it was in FC1.12. Some may argue its true to form, others may say its way to powerful. Couple this with the changes to semi-active missiles and the R-27ET and you can understandably see why players think the F-15 is way to good. Whether or not it was a huge improvement overall is debatable. I'm a fan of "class warfare" sort of games. I like the idea of having to choose a specific class (read "airplane) and having to use its advantages to their optimum to win a fight. Its why I have way to many hours playing Team Fortress 2. I admit, the difference between aircraft aren't as drastic as those in TF2, but they are still there. TF2 is also balanced based on gameplay, flight sims are supposed to be balanced on factual performance information. Suffice to say there are user end changes we can make to effect balance. Its all a mix of game modification, mission design, player attitude, and mission rules. So please vote and post your opinions.

Still wish somebody would work on a New 3D Model for tha Hawkeye but anyway, she looks way more beautifull and this was the best I could do..just need to fix a few lil. things before I upload a rar file, and no I'm not familiar with Modman so the Rar will just include 2 simple files that you need to put into your Bazar/Temp Textures Folder...I'll upload it tommorow..Enjoy.

  8. The F-15 from 2001 has datalink and other improvements (well, not without LEAVU2). It doesn't even have nav mode working properly, nor any of its targetting pods, nor JHMCS .... Yes, it is a shame that the Su-27 has not been upgraded in the game (or, the more advanced variants modelled), but it is not like that is the only thing that's not included. There is no conspiracy to disable the Russian aircraft vis a vis the US stuff in the game. In fact, the AMRAAM etc are still undermodelled so the F-15 afficianados could argue the opposite. The fact is the developers have limited time and budget, and they have to work within the constraints of the existing system since no-one can afford the time and effort to re-write *everything* from scratch (DCS being a valiant attempt, but even that still carries some trade-offs). Plus, they're working with crufty old code in C++ and Lua, hardly the most productive development tools these days (plus, to extend it to multithreading is herculean/suicidal depending on your point-of-view). If you would like to give the developers several million dollars and five years (a realistic budget and timescale for software, although a pittance compared to StarCraft II's budget and timescale) then you might get the Su-27 you want. Until then, keep reminding yourself, "I can kill Eagles!" :)

ЧИЖ я уверен у вас масса идей ,и они навярняка сногсшибательны но именно подход у вас не тот, это видно по вашим моделям и если честно даже Praisemodeling так делает все авиасимуляторщики так делают и мелкософт тоже так делал потому что так принято молеировать и показывать именно так в авиасимуляторах , я лиш могу показать подход при котором игра с монитора будет впечатлять так же как и вживую . ОТ вас не убудет я ничего за это не прошу . Ваши теже руки что зас делают а10с это и сделают и еще будт удивляться как они сами не подумали раньше . Никто же не говорит "ребята все бросайте это фигня вотщзас будем делать игру такую" Мне важно чтобы вы сами поняли и уже сами в будующих проектах задумывались . А потом уже сами думали можите вы это или нет. В прочем дело ваше не хотите как хотите .Наше дело предложить....

Поделись опытом, часто ли смирившись выживал после 6-ти этих читов пущенных в ППС или хотябы 4-х , 2-х ?:) Онлайн это не постоянный бой Ф-15 vs МИГ-29С, как видим пилоты Сушек не очень то мирятся и с 6-ю читами против 4-х своих ЭР. Хорошо хоть не просят выдать Мигам 4х73 и 2х27Р, что тоже типа на равных то быть. И самое главное : плохо , что тема скатывается на обсуждение качества реализации ракет , РЭБ и т.д. П.С. На серверах обе коалиции имеют одни и те же самолёты, игроки имеют один и тот же файл НОП. Всё это очередное нытьё про "красных опустили" в этих условиях как то не очень актуально.

Просто если уж делать новую технологию то такую чтоб содрогнулась мировой игропром , к тому же есть мысли как именно должно выглядеть воти озвучил ИМХО на поверхности простые решения лежат (тени от облаков) аникто об этом не говорит все открыв рот смотрят как загипнотезированные на А10С

  18. To me and many it seems common sense that to engage a target from range without giving them a warning is going to get you better results than giving someone a warning from range. In both cases lets say that these aircraft are escaping before they get into a dangerous situation, Mig 29 and F-15 (it would be extremely difficult to score a hit and not put yourself in harms way while firing SARH). The benefit of ARH is even before pitbull when the lock has been dropped they still present a threat from reaquiring a pressing target. When you give someone a warning they are more likely to be engaging you or extending, but when your not giving a warning (TWS) that aircraft is more likely to press your position without fear, call it lack of experience, overexuberance or just careless. The point I made is that F-15's die when they don't follow the procedure of staying safe, while Russian planes facing TWS don't have this luxury option to choose so always run a much greater risk of falling into a DZ. In an airquake scenario where all that matters to that F-15 pilot is racking up his score then thats all he has to do, any aircraft without TWS is going to struggle to hit anything using this tactic. When these planes get an active warning that means the missile is suddenly on top of them. What do you expect them to do fly into it?

  19. You can't. This feature was removed in FC2 because of design limitations. Maybe it will be back in DCS in the future. For now you are stuck with what is saved with the Mission.

Oh nice move, i like the way my name has been dragged into this (not) :huh: You do realise that i'm not the only one who flies above 40000 and shoots in TWS, why use me as an example? :doh: I can name a few of your russian friends who fly the 15 much more aggressively at high alt, but i won't. Infact, when i've flown recently (which hasn't been much) i've been in a 29S lurking low, ECM on and seeking out prey with 77's and ET's :)

In a style of play which only requires the pilot to rack up kills online, the F-15 excels at this over anything, the choice to approach at altitude with TWS fired AMRAAM's then escape with speed unmatched by any other makes the F-15 untouchable. The problem comes when the F-15 pilot grows a pair and gets closer to the encounter and chances being locked and fired on, this balances everthing out because the F-15's escape buffer is lost. This can only happen if the F-15 pilot gets target fixated or ballsy. Of course the other scenario where this reduces the F-15's superiority is if he has a realistic role to play such as protecting and holding an area, suddenly he can't use his shoot from altitude and range then run for safety because he is not doing his job of protecting his sides assets and winning the war. So those that are upset about the F-15's advantages are really only miffed because they are trying to rack up kills in an environment suited for airquake where the F-15 will be king and catching it out in that type of scenario will always be the trick. Does it matter, to me I enjoy the challenge. The jammer situation is sad and something that FC can't address which is a shame because this would play a huge part in the BVR engagement. Whats also a shame is trying to make a 24/7 server more role play rather than airquake, its not an easy task but a lot of ideas are being discussed here which is great, hopefully thanks to the great thinkers in the community we can have some epic scenarios online in the future.

  24. It was Mig-29, Export version B (9.12B, Serie 5B from Fulcrum-A version) - downgraded N019EB radar and a simplified OEPrNK-29E2 targeting/navigation system. Initially, these were armed with R-60 and R-27R (latter with R-73 an R-27R1, but I don't think Iraqi version were upgraded)

  30. Why not betting on a more advanced Su-25T module? It would be nice to have an head to head of Su-25 vs A-10. Most of the work is already done, just add a full clickable cockpit and voilá.

  31. Вообщем цена сыграла свою роль и я оставил свое предпочтение на ASUS GeForce 9600GT 512MB PCI-E OEM за 1600 руб . После подключения двух экранов ,совсем другое качество графики , остался доволен . Но столкнулся с другой проблемой, у меня в свое время крякнул встроенный аудио контроллер и я поставил аудио карту . Со старой видеокартой все нормально работало ,а с новой звука вначале вообще небыло , после смены дров появился , но какойто скрипящий . Может кто знает в чем причина .

  32. Забавные у тебя однако конфиги получаются. Нет чтоб с 4 AIM-9 стартануть, у тебя 6 120С + 2 120B. Че ж так скромно, сразу бы 8 С навесил. При том что в миссии и в НОПе не больше 6 активных. И кроме тебя больше ни у кого я этого не видел. Я поддерживаю Мера. Может он выразил в грубой форме, но по сути он прав. Никакие это не "забавные баги". Нашел человек способ обойти НОП и юзает. Все как всегда. Замечательный пример со стороны того, чье имя присутствует в мануале. Предлагаю рассматривать это как читерство со всеми вытекающими. ДЛЯ ИСТРЕБИТЕЛЕЙ. Если не трудно, дайте "адекватный ответ".

  36. Patience grasshoppah. Hold fire button down for about 1-2 seconds. (New modeling feature in FC2). I am ASSUMING you have checked and fixed any applicable key changes, and that if we're talking about the button on your stick- that it's programmed and working properly..

  37. ^^^^^ Heh.... yeah. It is interesting to note that the two main categories recieving more than 2 votes are. "Learn to adapt and grow a pair" and "F-15s should be on one side and outnumbered." I'll admit I'm of the school of thought of keeping F-15s outnumbered. It makes complete sense from a gameplay perspective. F-15s have the best missiles, they can target multiple bandits at once, and they are incredibly good at dealing with multiple threats at the same time. Btw, when I said it recieved a performance boost I meant that it got a better improvement when compared to everything else. Yes all aircraft received updates to at least something in their functionality, but the missile changes and aim 120C benefit the F-15 more so than other fighters.

  38. But Tekneinium you can't base things on conjecture. You have to back up claims with facts "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free". I'm sure that everyone wants the most accurate representation of system modeling in DCS but you can't "have your cake and eat it too". You can't ask the devs to create a high fidelity world and gripe if your beloved aircraft does not perform better than another.

  39. Thanks to the 104th Server guys !! Had a great weekend with me flying A10a (im in UK with FC2) with TREX flying Ka50 (hes in Tasmania with DCS). He would take out the SAM sites leaving me to roll in safely with Mavericks and cluster munitions. Teamspeak 3 allows us to synchronise our attacks from two different directions at the same time to confuse the SAM threats Love the convoy near WP6 (fixed wing WP) flying the A10a at 200ft down the valley makes the Tunguska fire SA 19`s straight into the valley walls. Now if only we could arrange some CAP to keep the pesky Mig 29`s off our backs.

  41. IL-2 is about as close to a true sim as you can get aside from DCS right now. The physics are pretty good. Some where between FC and DCS. You can't just through the aircraft around. If you do they just go out of controle. I'm totally cool with helping ED make more cash. The more they get the more great titles we can expect to see.

  45. Прошу не счесть за оффтоп, но хотелось бы высказать некоторые соображения на тему обучения у Беркутов. Сам начал проходить обучение примерно полмесяца назад. Из того, что понравилось - построение учебного процесса - от простого - к сложному с учетом личных индивидуальных качеств обучаемого. Из пожеланий - учитывать личные предпочтения пилота, то есть на каком крафте он в дальнейшем планирует пилотажить. Лично для меня - это МиГ - 29, но коли все пилотажат на Су, то осваиваю и этот крафт. В общем, надеюсь, что постепенно закончу обучение, а пока спасибо Беркутам за науку.
