EDIT (1/21/2012): I've added a new file along with the existing training pack (as a separate file). This file is a training mission that includes both A-10C and Black Shark 2 and supports up to 33 aircraft at once. This mission incorporates pretty much ALL weapons and air to ground and air to air roles you can expect to face (including air to air refueling). Me and some of my squadron have been working on a set of training missions for a little bit now and I figured maybe the rest of the community might get some use out of them as well. These are fairly short missions which you can go through pretty quickly and most are very focused so you can concentrate on one particular aspect until you are ready for a more general mission. All of these missions are made as multiplayer so you can either play on your own server as a multiplayer solo, or fly with friends. Included are: Takeoff and landing - Up to 12 aircraft are supported. Here there are 2 sets of aircraft. One set ready to takeoff from the runway (so you don't have to worry about startup), and one set as air-start. In each of those groups 2 aircraft are nearly at 100% combat weight, 2 are at about 50% and 2 are clean and near empty so you can practice takeoffs and landings under various weight/aerodynamic configurations so you can get used to how the aircraft handles in all conditions. Weapons training missions. In each of these there are several target groups of static targets including soft and hard vehicles, as well as light and heavy structures which will take varying degrees of accuracy to ensure a kill. The following weapons are covered: Iron bombs: (low drag and high drag for CCIP and CCRP employment). Cluster bombs: General purpose, anti-armor, wind corrected general purpose, and wind corrected anti-armor employment. JDAM bombs: GBU-31 and 38 employment. LGB bombs: LGB 10 and 12 employment. Maverick missiles: Covers employment of light weight versions of the IR and electro-optical models. Maverick missiles 2: Covers employment of the heavy-penetrator versions of the IR and electro-optical models. Rockets: Covers employment of the Mk1 High Explosive, Mk5 Anti Tank, M151 Anti Personnel, M156 White Phosphorous smoke Once you have mastered the basics you can move on to the Mixed Training mission. There the aircraft are ramp start so you can practice cold starting the aircraft and are armed with a wide mix of weapons. There are a wide variety of targets (and a LOT of them so there will be plenty of targets even if you have a number of people in the mission). There are also moving groups that spawn when you enter certain areas. There are also air units which spawn which vary from unarmed helicopters all the way up to top of the line air superiority fighters depending on various conditions. There are also groups of air defenses to practice against including AAA, IR SAMs and Radar guided SAMs as well as naval units. I have provided 4 versions of the mixed mission. Day LoDif (Day time, low difficulty). All external views enabled and all units showing on the map to ease new pilots in finding targets. Night LoDif (Night time, low difficulty). All external views enabled and all units showing on the map to ease new pilots in finding targets. A-10s are also armed with a pod of illumination rockets for practice of illuminating an area. Day HiDif (Day time, high difficulty). All external views disabled and all hostile units are hidden. Night HiDif (Night time, high difficulty). All external views disabled and all hostile units are hidden. A-10s are also armed with a pod of illumination rockets for practice of illuminating an area. This is still a WIP and not every missions has been exhaustively tested as of yet. Will post updates if there is interest. Hi All, I have had a mixed bag of results with the use of dumb bombs in CCIP and CCRP, generally speaking, flying skills apart, the issue is related to wind (not diet related, but atmospheric). I have just gone through the procedure of entering wind correction into the CDU to correct for this, and the results speak for themselves. Below is the walkthrough of the procedure I use, I hope it is of some use to you fellow sim pilots, and hope I am not teaching you to suck eggs! Sorry for all the pics!!! CCRP bombing, paired release @ 6000 ft 210kts. Wind 270 degrees 15m/s As shown above, the bombs missed their mark, and no damage done to the target. This was a stable release, wind accounting for the miss. Procedure for correction: 1) On the CDU panel, press the SYS button, then press the LASTE button: 2) Click the wind OSB to enter the wind correction page: 3) This is where you can enter the wind correction data. Start off by entering the altitude of the first layer of wind. I start with ground level. To do this, enter 00 in the scratch pad, then click the first empty line on the left to enter this altitude. 4) Repeat the process for other wind layers if known. What I did here was repeat the wind speed and direction data for my altitude, so the adjustment calculation took place. In this case I entered 06 (for 6000ft) and placed that altitude in the line beneath the first: 6) When you have enetered all the layers you desire, press the WndEdit button. In this step you enter the wind speed and direction. How you get this data is up to you :) You can get it form the mission editor, Air traffic, even the JTAC gives the wind vector for you. To enter the data you have to enter 5 digits. The first 3 digits is the direction of the wind, so 000 = north and so on. In this case, 270 was the wind direction. The 4th and 5th digits is the wind speed in m/s So wind speed 15 ms at 270 degrees, we enter 27015. If wind was at 10 degrees and 7 m/s, you should end 01007 Once entered, hit the OSB for the layer you want to add this data. Repeat this for all layers. 7) Next step is to add the temperature data for each layer. Again get this from the ME/brief. You also have the current temperature shown in the CDU on the top right. I just used this temperature accross all layers. 18 degrees here. 8) Once done, hit the WIndTemp OSB to go back a step and store the data: 9) Get yourself lined up.... and bombs away!!!! "Good bombs, good bombs" BDA flyby: As you can see from the result it seems to do the job nicely!!! The smoke also blows along the correction line... I would like to say there is no camera trickery here, and I hope the above isn't just a placebo, and my first run was just bad. But I tried this out a few times, and it appears to do the job. Let me know how you get on!!! Also, thanks ED for making this sim so involved, things like this are great! Happy bombing all!2 points

An 8 person coop mission I immersed myself in and spent a few days creating. Big thanks to Grimes for unscrambling my brain answering my trigger questions. Have fun, use however you want. let me know if there are any problems.... I'll be working on it still to put in radio commands and such to have the invasion move even further into Abkhazia. But for now i just wanted a working one to share with the community. Check back periodically for updates. :) ---Download Link--- Updated mission - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84353 Multiple variants included- day, night, overcast, winter. --Situation-- The year is 2014.... Relations are strained once again between Georgia and its separatists regions. Abkhazia has become greatly angered over the recent improvement in relations between Russia and Georgia, saying that Russia is turning its back on them. Especially after Russia has stopped sending materials to Abkhazia also has pulled out their troops. That and the recent power grab in Abkhazia by a military regime leader, who for the past few years has vastly expanded the Abkhazian militia, building tanks IFV's and small arms faster than MacGyver! Also the regime is allegedly using violence against Georgians inside Abkhazia. South Ossetia is backing Abkhazia and insurgents from South Ossetia seem to be mobilizing.... All this has caught the eyes of NATO, who has begun supplying Georgia. Georgia is crying out for help from the international community. Saying that Abkhazian troops are committing genocide on Georgians! Any attempt by the Georgian military to cross the boarders to rescue civilians has resulted in clashes by opposing forces and mercenaries that the regime has brought in. NATO is now in Georgia with limited force, who with the Georgians, will invade Abkhazia. The US has brought up limited forces from Iraq including half a squadron of A10's and F15's for CAP. The brunt of air strikes an CAS will have to be carried out via A10's and Georgian Su25's. The NATO and Georgian invading force will have to rely heavily on air power and with limited aircraft in the region, there is a lot weighing on your shoulders to get the job done. Your job is to cooperate with NATO command receiving coordinates for airstrikes, interdiction missions, and to provide air cover to ground forces in Abkhazia with AFAC help if needed. Being able to enter lat long coordinates in this mission is a must. Oh yeah.... and Russia has said it would be a..... bad idea to cross the boarder into Russian airspace... so try not to. ----TASKS---- 1. Soften up enemy forces along the Abkhazian front at the waypoints. AFAC available. 2. Signal the friendly armor groups via radio commands to begin their invasion. If you do not signal the invasion it will automatically begin after an hour and a half. Friendly Mi24's are available from a nearby FARP. Call them in if needed. 2 Georgian Su25's will fly in after 40 minutes of mission start to help. 3. After the convoy is moving, HQ will give you random tasks to do. If you missed the tasking just ask them to repeat it in the radio commands. You can request 2 tasks at a time... it is possible to request more than 2 but the radio F10 menu will get cluttered. Updates will be given every 20 to 40 mins after a mission is issued for new players joining.... recommend pen and paper for coordinates. KC-135 Tanker is available as well. A10's take off from Kutaisi and Georgians from Senaki..... US supplies are available at Senaki for rearmament and repair. Bullseye is located over Senaki. ---FREQUENCIES--- All combat operations 124.5Mhz Tanker Frequency is 150Mhz Kutaisi is 134Mhz Senaki is 132Mhz IMPORTANT!!! CHAT MESSAGE COMMANDS!!! type these into chat to set a flag true in the mission... an alternative to the F10 other radio commands for if the host is not around..... Special thanks to Speed for providing the .lua scripting to make this possible :) "startinvasion" --- type this into chat to start NATO invasion "choppersupport" --- type this into chat to signal Mi24 support "requesttask" --- type this into chat to get a new task "getupdate" --- type this into chat to get mission update2 points

Hi, like back in Black Shark times I have made a startup manual for the A-10. For people like me who can not remember the exact button positions there are again pictures included. Enjoy www.dahustler.de/files/dcs/A10-Startup.zip2 points

Same here. nVidia GTX560Ti at stock speed, full HD (with the second screen running Windows Aero), Hi-def texture pack installed, MSAA and AF running and with DirectX11 rendering. I have noted artefacts in one case only (the Qunari bosses armor pieces have some minor black spots in it, looks like a broken parallax map), but then again I'm using beta drivers at the moment. What you SHOULD do with that setup is run folding@home. ;) For anything else I am extremely curious to see what the results were if you ran some proper performance tests and then removed one of the cards. There might be applications where there might be a difference, but a difference that you as a human will notice? I doubt it. EDIT: Btw, the thread title is mislead. It's not "dualcore". It's dual-processor. Each of those processors have something like 1500 cores - but the meaning of the word "core" is a bit different to what we are used to in the CPU world.2 points

If you are trying to not get shot down you have to stay out of enemy weapon envelopes. There are a few ways (in decreasing reliability) to do this: 1. don't fly the mission 2. don't get detected 3. if detected, stay out of range 4. if in detected+in range, you are probably seconds from dying, so evade and use CMs The only way you can accomplish 2&3 which IMO is the bread and butter of a proper plan of attack (1 you can't really do in the game and 4 you either messed up 2&3 or you had no choice to begin with) is by knowing exactly where and what the threats are. If the enemy has 4 short-range IR SAMs and you need to kill 8 tanks, you'd better use your mavs on the SAMs instead of the tanks. You have a 30mm gun as a "backup" for a reason. On the other hand if you only have to kill 4 tanks and can just dip in SAM range, it might be worth quickly taking out the tanks with mavs while dropping flares and evading, as being in gun range increases deaths to tanks and undetected MANPADs. If the enemy has lots of AAA and you have some LGBs, just fly ultra high and bomb the tanks one at a time. There's no secret to winning missions, you just have to fly such that you don't fly into a missile/bullet. Hide behind hills and popup to take out your target(s) to minimize exposure (and drop CMs while doing it). Loft bombs and rockets over hills. Your CCRP and CCIP bomb fall lines don't have to be vertical, you can bank into your target for the entire bomb run to dodge fire. Use your long range weapons to out-range defenses and use the gun to kill the actual targets. Do whatever you must so you don't even RISK getting shot at, or at least try to do whatever you must so you don't get SHOT, and at the very least hit your targets before you get hit back so after you press ctrl+E,E,E it wasn't a total waste of time. Also very important is recon. You should recon your target area for a while with your TGP, perhaps making several passes at 90 degrees to the target from long range, giving you plenty of time to do this without getting any closer, and all critical targets you can mark with a mark point. Then on your attack run you just slave things to mark points and you should've already found AAA and such...even MANPADs can be spotted (always use FLIR instead of CCD). Lastly, the JTAC is good about listing defenses. When he says 3 ZSU-23 1 mi northeast, you should probably not attack at low level from the northeast. Attacking from the southwest and using your gun at 1.5 mi gives you 2.5 mi separation from instant-death, which should be enough. Really the most important point to stress is patience. Read the briefings, listen to JTAC, recon the area, find the defenses, plan a way to avoid or defeat them, know how you are going to escape, what counter measure program you need to have continuously running or on standby, where the terrain is............................ With this knowledge, if your IQ is a positive number, you should be able to devise your own plan to maximize your weapon damage while minimizing the enemies. It might be fun to fly at military power along the flight plan at whatever altitude waiting to get in mav range, but rest assured some guy is playing DCS: SA-10 waiting for some idiot to fly straight and level at the target he's tasked to protect, and lucky him, it's an aircraft with comparable performance to the Wright brothers' plane.2 points

HawgTouch is a simple light-weight framework which allows you to create your own cockpit panels for DCS-10C. The software is bundled with 2 MFCD's, a UFC panel (Thanks to jeffyd123 @ ED forums): Included profile ShowcaseProfile.xml which demonstrates tabs, scaling and latest additions Version 1.25 changes - Fixed a bug where keystrokes of Rocker Switches weren't sent - Fixed a bug where keystrokes of Two State Switches weren't sent - Fixed a bug where keystrokes of Three State Switches weren't sent - Fixed panel closing and tab switching crash - Added a "drag" button to the top right, to drag, click and hold the button - Optimized code and image handling - Profile parsing improved, now showing detailed exceptions if profile is illegaly formatted - Two State switches now support multiple types: - On/On - Momentary/On - On/Momentary Take a look at the "TestPanel" tab in the ShowcaseProfile.XML to see how to assign switch behavior - Three State switches now support multiple types: - On/On/On - On/On/Momentary - Momentary/On/On - Momentary/On/Momentary Take a look at the "TestPanel" tab in the ShowcaseProfile.XML to see how to assign switch behavior - HawgTouch now ships in two executables. x86 and x64 Version 1.2 changes - Fixed bug in ClickButtons long press. Now working - Added support for tabs - Added panel scaling mechanism - Added audible clicks option - Better keypress engine, no more flashing HawgTouch now supports tabs. At least 1 tab must exist in every profile. Once a profile is loaded. A tab control box appears which allows you to switch between tabs. The tab control box can be latched to 9 locations of your chosen monitor. This is done by specifying 2 parameters in the profile XML <LatchTo></LatchTo> Available parameters: - UpperLeft - UpperMiddle - UpperRight - MiddleLeft - Middle - MiddleRight - BottomLeft - BottomMiddle - BottomRight The tab control box is also dragable. <MonitorID></MonitorID> Specifies which monitor the tab control box will latch on to. To get the ID of the monitor you'd like to latch the tab control box to, click on the "Monitors" link on the main HawgTouch window. It will display your local monitors setup. Sample profile XML with 1 tab and 1 panel: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <Tabs> <LatchTo>UpperLeft</LatchTo> <MonitorID>2</MonitorID> <Tab> <ID>1</ID> <Name>Test</Name> <Controls> <Control> <Name>Up Front Controller</Name> <PanelImage>\Images\UFC\ufc-main-panel.png</PanelImage> <X>80</X> <Y>10</Y> <ShowTitleButtons>true</ShowTitleButtons> <SizePercent>100</SizePercent> </Control> </Controls> </Tab> </Tabs> Supported controls in 1.1: - Click Buttons - Rocker Switches - Two State Switches - Three State Switches HawgTouch is fully "customizable", allowing you to use your own skins and graphics in any size you choose to make. Setting up exported MFCDs: 1.HawgTouch comes with a default skin in which the MFCD "transparent" zone is 400x400 pixels. With additional 186x146 pixels for the bezels. Therefore the MFCD's rendering in your multi monitor setup LUA file should be to 400x400 pixels to fit inside the frames. This is my multi-monitor setup: (1x 24" @ 1920x1080 and 1 x 22" @ 1280x800): _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('My_example'); Description = 'Two monitor configuration'; Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.6; } } LEFT_MFCD = { x = 2050; y = 105; width = 400; height = 400; } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 2650; y = 105; width = 400; height = 400; } UIMainView = Viewports.Center2. Now you will need to set up the keys in DCS A-10C control settings which are mapped to the MFCD profiles in HawgTouch. HawgTouch comes with 2 MFCD profiles which are configured to the following keys: Left MFCD OSB1 through 10 - Left Control + 1 through 0 Left MFCD OSB10 through 20 - Left Control + Left Shift + 1 through 0 Right MFCD OSB1 through 10 - Left Alt + 1 through 0 Right MFCD OSB10 through 20 - Left Alt + Left Shift + 1 through 0 Here is in-game screenshot of the controls binding: You can set any key combination you want. Here are the key shortcuts: (Made identical to TouchPal for easier transition) {BACKSPACE} {TAB} {CLEAR} {RETURN} {LSHIFT} {RSHIFT} {LCONTROL} {RCONTROL} {LALT} {RALT} {PAUSE} {CAPSLOCK} {ESCAPE} {SPACE} {PAGEUP} {PAGEDOWN} {END} {HOME} {LEFT} {UP} {RIGHT} {DOWN} {PRINTSCREEN} {INSERT} {DELETE} {LWIN} {RWIN} {APPS} {NUMPAD0} {NUMPAD1} {NUMPAD2} {NUMPAD3} {NUMPAD4} {NUMPAD5} {NUMPAD6} {NUMPAD7} {NUMPAD8} {NUMPAD9} {MULTIPLY} {ADD} {SEPARATOR} {SUBTRACT} {DECIMAL} {DIVIDE} {F1} {F2} {F3} {F4} {F5} {F6} {F7} {F8} {F9} {F10} {F11} {F12} {NUMLOCK} {SCROLLLOCK} You can mix all sorts of shortcuts for your liking. Most will work but I can't gurantee crazy combos since I haven't checked it myself. Creating your own panels: HawgTouch gives you the liberty to create any panel you find useful for your simming pleasure. Take a peek at the TestPanel.xml file for information of how to use the different controls HawgTouch supports. With time and by request more complex controls will be added! UFC bundled in 1.1 (Thanks to jeffyd123 for the image works!) NOTE: The key commands for the UFC are not set! Once you set your UFC key bindings in-game, open up UFC.xml and fill in the KeyCommand slots! My setup: Download: HawgTouch 1.25 x86 [1.03MB] HawgTouch 1.25 x64 [1.03MB] Extract anywhere. In this version the last known position of the panels is not saved. You will have to manually set it to the specific panel. To help you achieve that a new button has been added to the panels which shows the current windows X/Y positions. Once you are happy with your position you can type that data into the panel XML and it will be launched in the position you saved. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are running any Windows version with UAC enabled (Vista and higher) and you are running DCS A-10C as Administrator you will have to launch HawgTouch as Administrator aswell. Orelse the keystrokes wont be sent to the game. You will need .NET 4.0 to run this so if you don't have it installed make sure you run a Windows Update or download it from here : .NET Framework 4.0 Download Tested on WinXP 32/64, Win7 32/64 Enjoy! Those were basic FLIR images, default so to speak. There is no problem to tune it while sparking up the plane. It's not perfect, but close enough. There are lots of things in Arma2 OA, which looks good, A10 cockpit thou isn't one of them.1 point

The part of the building which blew up doesn't serve any containment purpose, so it's wrong to label it secondary containment. Scaremongering at it's best.1 point

That picture is boulderdash. The primary containment would be the ractor lining itself, secondary is the concrete casket around it. AFAIK none of these have been breached. The explosion was supposedly caused by hydrogen accumulating inside the building during ventilation of the reactor.1 point

FSX F-18 highly detailed F-18.. well ok... but it is not fully usable one with working weapons and systems... and even if it was what would it shoot at? Airliners? The only sim that has high(er) fidelity of systems and weapons for combat is F4... but cannot talk that is hest the rest of it going on... terrain is crap and lot of other things are crap also (FM and MP) not to mention procedure to get it installed... really it was good for its time but it's can't hold its own any more. Really... try taxing in DCS A-10C and in F4... what a world of difference... same for FC2... can't even compare with DCS A-10C, only the Su-25T is decent enough but not many people fly it for obvious reasons) And it's been said MANY TIMES... it's not what general population wants.. it's what military contracts order... can people finally get that into their heads and stop asking stupid questions over and over :music_whistling:1 point

I see this from both sides. And there's a difference between asking politely and nagging. I think we've asked politely and ED understand. BS players are unhappy because there's no patch and (possibly more importantly) no news. Nagging will just p*** ED off and make the work more labour than love. Lets face it, better if they love their work. Right? I still haven't played through BS yet because I'm not content that it's at it's best. When I do start the campaign, I want it to be in all it's glory, polished and complete. It's frustrating knowing that it got sooo close to where it needed to be and then got put on the shelf for the obvious... I will buy A-10C (when it's released on disc) if only to support the project, but at the moment can't help feeling like I had the door slammed in my face when the Warthog was announced. Because, as people have said already, there's been nothing for us. Black Shark players should be commended on their patience. And I'm surprised BS patching threads haven't surfaced more often. We have the near perfect simulator within grasp but a few small niggles are spoiling the broth. I'm not sure there's anymore that can be said on this topic and I'm sure ED now know how we feel. ...Time for some more waiting. :noexpression:1 point

each HD6990 is around $900 here in Australia... for two that's $1800... that is way too much money for something that is actually not beneficial in games because the benefit does not scale good with price paid. If he's flying this sim doesn't matter what CPU he uses and how much he overclocks it those 4 GPU's will not be working to its full use or even close to it as in every situation he will be either CPU limited or vsync limited (I doubt he'd have it off just to see 200fps)... so how can that be money well spent? If he was running 6 monitors and game did support multi GPU and all 4 cores were used he would still not get 4x the performance of 1x GPU. But anyway, you're right about one thing, its his thing where and how he spends his money. PS: When I was looking to upgrade my PC few months ago I could afford to get i7 980x but I could just not justify to spend $1400-$1500 on that CPU when I could get $320 i7 950 and still get same clocks by overclocking. Yes you can overclock both but both chips are of same silicon and have same limitations1 point

This. The F-16 and F-18 in particular have really been done to death. Having the opportunity to fly Russian hardware in sims is why I buy ED games. Personally I'd love to see DCS: Su-34. I realise most of it's systems are probably still classified, but even the Su-27MKI would be great when modelled with DCS levels of detail :joystick:1 point

A few random screenshots from a multiplayer test today. P.S: if you've noticed that the wingtip ECM/R-73's are out of place in these screenshots, thats because the screenshot was taken of someone still using the stock Su-33 model...that causes the mis-alignments with the model i was using (much like when someone uses stock F-15C model and you're using the Valery/Gys F-15C model, the missiles are all mis-aligned)1 point

Some of the products have short half life's, others don't. One of the isotopes of Nitrogen has a half life of a few seconds for example. That would be present in the turbine steam. Another isotope that is now known to be in the venting gas is Ceasium. Most likely Ceasium-137, which has a half life of ~30 years. This is really bad stuff and because it now is in the vented gas it means that the water level has dropped below the level of the control rods which would allow the Ceasium to escape into the steam. Seems to me that a least a partial meltdown is underway.1 point

Feature: More type of S-8 Rockets like chaff or thermobaric warhead. If a Su-25 is in the ED roadmap the S-8 family must be enlarged, why not by now! The big "T" on the FARP behave like in the reality, turn accordingly with the wind. Tower with real world frequency, I know we can change it by ourself.... A more interactive rearming menu, maybe a popup menu where we can chose the payload almost like in the editor, but now I'm dreaming I know!!1 point

What are your system specs? Try updating your video card drivers, or try different graphics options. Could also be overheating problem. (no very likely though)1 point

Much of the procedure is the same from the UTM coordinate entry (post #4 in this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=68946), so I took the liberty of pasting my UTM tutorial here and changing the relevant parts. Use a mission data card to get all the info on the Lat/Long coordinates and the specific weapon, direction of attack, direction of egress and weapon requested. To make the Lat/Long coordinate provided by JTAC into a waypoint do the following: Find a safe area to do a wide orbit. Set your autopilot to ALT and then make a left or right banking level turn and hold it. Then engage the autopilot and ensure it is holding the turn and you have no elevation conflicts around you. The Lat/Long coordinates will be in the form of 2 sets of 7 numbers. The first set is the North coordinates, the second set is the East coordinates. You will see a N and a E next to OSB 16 and OSB 17 to help you enter the coordinates in their proper places. Make sure your STEER PT switch on your AAP Panel is set to FLT PLAN. Set your right MFCD to the CDU repeater function. Check OSB 10 to ensure L/L (Lat/Long) is displayed. Hit OSB 9 to select the number presented next to the question mark as your new target waypoint. Using the CDU or the UFC, enter the first set of numbers without spaces in the scratchpad. This is your North set of coordinates. Hit OSB 17 to enter the coordinate in to the computer. (Note the N at the beginning of the string) Verify the number entered is correct. Using the CDU or the UFC, enter the second set of numbers without spaces in the scratchpad. This is your East set of coordinates. Note: When entering the East set of coordinates it is sometimes necessary to add a 0 to the beginning of the coordinate. For example, the coordinate given as: 42 58 38 will need to be entered as 042 58 38. I am not sure why this is, but if you do not do this, you will get a "Input Error" in the scratchpad. Hit OSB 16 to enter the coordinate in to the computer. (Note the E at the beginning of the string) Verify the number entered is correct. Using the CDU or UFC keypad give your new waypoint a unique name eg: TGT A and hit OSB 7 to change the name. Now turn your STEER PT dial on the AAP from FLT PLAN to MISSION. Use the UFC STEER rocker or with the HUD as SOI, DMS UP to cycle thru the waypoints until you see the unique name you created for this target. Find your target waypoint symbol on the TAD and then use the steering cue's on the HUD to prosecute your attack. EDIT #1: I created a Powerpoint Tutorial provided in the link below as a PDF that covers this post and adds some pictures and helpful info. Hi guys, thanks for the feedback, warmer than expected. According to the CDU documentation, you can add 7 wind layers, but as mentioned above, there are only 3 layers to edit in the mission editor. I was expecting the correction to make a difference, I was quite suprised just how much. The Mk82 scraping down the side of the vehicle before going off was glorious to see.1 point

Go on with the Ka-50. I dream with that "electronic battlefield" too. By the way, a dedicated server and other surprises, would be superb.1 point
