This bothered me so I took a look at the code and found the error. The fix is in "Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Sounds\Speech\common.lua" and is a change in accentTable (Germany had accent.GER instead of the correct accent.GERMANY) I have no idea what other horrors I might have unleashed from doing this but it worked in the mission I flew just recently. [edit] Just popped in and out of a multiplayer game so that seems unaffected. common.lua2 points

These mods introduce new high resolution road textures to DCS A-10C. There are 2 versions to choose from, the first is a new road surface and markings, the second is a used/worn surface and markings. Installation is a little tricky, but instructions are provided within the mod packages. Quick video of my CDU with the display in place. It looks great(which the video doesn't show well :)) but the only problem I need to solve is that I need to look almost straight down on top of it to see everything. This is due to the screen being a little more than 1/2" below the surface of the CDU face plate. I hope that I can use a fresnel lens or some other trick to "lift" the text up to just below the face plate. Oh.... I've not installed the switches for the panel yet... they're on order. That's why the buttons are flush with the panel and I'm not pressing them. :D1 point

After reading the thread about random spawning of units I've slightly modified this to allow spawning to be influenced by the number of players in the mission, and so adjust the difficulty. Essentailly I use a list of flags to represent a list of units. Everytime a player joins (using Once Unit Alive) I run a lua script which switches on each flag if math.random() is less than x. (x is usually the fraction of units to activate for each player e.g. 0.25 for 4 players, etc.) Hence if this script is run 4 times for each player most (but probably not all) flags should be on. You can obviously increase/dcrease x to modify the behaviour of this. (Also as the time of the player joining is used to seed there should be more variation in the randomness.) math.randomseed( os.time() ) math.random(); math.random() for i = 1, 10 do if math.random() < 0.25 then trigger.setUserFlag(100 + i, true) end end The above sets a list of ten flags 101-110 to on with a 25% chance and can be run repeatedly on the same set of flags. Each random unit can then be activated using a ONCE time since flag condition. No one has mentioned this sort of thing before so thought I'd share and hope someone finds it useful.1 point

Just did a start with argon patriot - right in the starting sector there is a ship named "Exterminator" hanging around - comm him and this will kick off the "Operation Final Fury" plot (destroying the Khaak). I was also immeditately contacted by some guy to do an escort mission for him - this looked like another starting point for a plot.1 point

Никто и не заставляет в провинции выкачивать цифровую версию, сделали бы на выбор, цифра или диск. Тем более, что цифровая и дисковая версия по идее не должны отличаться(и там и там Старфорс с интернет активацией).1 point

А у нас калаш рельсу пробивает...калёную...повдоль :D Экипаж должен быть уверенным в своей машине-это главное. У каждого своя правда. Пропаганда это не ложь и промывание мозгов, это просто способ подачи информации. Как в рекламе. Чем больше хороших качеств своей техники знает экипаж, тем сильнее боевой дух. С недостатками точно также, только наоборот. Как говорится, броня крепка и танки наши быстры. У нас в парке, например, это выражается в виде: хорошую машину нужно беречь, а плохую лучше доломать. Не зная своих преимуществ, любая машина будет казатсья плохой, отсюда и дезертирство и прочее. И не забывайте, что теоретические качества очень слабо отражают боевую эффективность. В теории м4 лучше АК в разы, а на практике его ненадежность сводит всё на нет. Примеров можно привести чуть менее, чем миллион, суть от этого не изменится. И ещё: плохое командование приносит такой колоссальный ущерб, что ТТХ уже роли не играют. В реальности характеристики техники слабо влияют на общий успех кампании.1 point

ну правильно, запретить изучение матчасти противника, что бы солдат "не деморализовывался". впрочем, большинство "истинных поцреотов" с презрением относятся ко всему. что написано по-буржуйски. пропаганда, вестимо, ага. попадания танками за 5км в Ираке зафиксированы документально. я не говорю, что это была типичная дистанция поражения. но такие случаи были. главное, что и пушки и прицельные приспособления отрабатывали эту задачу. когда позволяла местность и погода. израильтяне отрабатывают на учениях танковую стрельбу на 4 с копейками км. это для них норма, а не исключение, если кто не понял. но верить каждый конечно может во что ему угодно.1 point

In either case...if people are so annoyed by bold lettering or caps....then respectfully suggest that those features be disabled! All I did was post a question using a style that I happen to like and overly sensitive individuals instead of ignoring the style or moving on feel they have to comment on something other than the original question. And I see nothing in the "rules" that says bold lettering can not be used. They sure don't make fighter pilots like they used to....1 point

Hi guys, Am working on a second set of Canadian Forces fictional skins for the A-10C. This is a camouflage set based on the 1980s three colour scheme used by some Canadian military aircraft. There will be two types, one is the three-tone grey "Ghost" scheme, and the other (as shown) is with an olive green replacing one of the greys. Also working on a tan CF flight suit with appropriate Arid patches and insignia. Will look nice in Nellis (soon?)! Also, have been working on some fictional RAF schemes including an overall camouflage grey, OD green, and desert sand scheme with low viz markings. Also includes re-skinned pilot wearing RAF issue togs and a Mk4 helmet with Type Q oxygen mask.1 point

Well, as I say: It's not my way... I took it from I thread I fond here in the forums but I'm unable to find it again... I think I need to try harder :D In my case I'm not using TH2GO but SoftTH instead, so my windows sees four monitors instead of two (as if I where using TH2GO too)... with 4 monitor the more logical way to arrange them is as you are suggesting 3 at top expanding the desktop horizontally and the fourth monitor centered at bottom expanding the desktop vertically... that way you can switch to any monitor just moving the mouse beyond the corresponding edge of the center monitor... the DCS engine (TFCSE) can handle it this way it but the primary monitor must be the one at 0,0 coordinates and we need to create a big rendering area that encompass our monitors... but then there will be areas that will not be used: XXX _X_ X = This area is rendered in our monitors _ = This area is not rendered by VGA, but apparently the DCS engine (TFCSE) works based on the hole resolution... so the less _ you have the less the engine will have to work. I think this was called Phantom Monitor Fix but I don't know if this is still needed for DCS A-10C By version 1.1.0.8 I wasn't meaning VGA driver version but DCS A-10C version although having th lattest VGA driver is always recommended... I would have still bought the game had steam never been invented, just like I did all of the other ED products. I would have felt the same way about having some spicy new fantasy units for the sake of fun. For some, and you know who you are, this idea of aliens or monsters invading is actually no joke and you know that training for a massive ufo or monster invasion in a simulator is serious business. The fact that ED has added a simplified game mode to make the game interesting to a wider audience is proof that they are already trying to take steps to sell more copies to gamers and not just hardcore simmers. By selling more copies, I can only assume that means more money to develop even better games in the future!! Smart idea I think... So.. The wider the audience they can attract, the more loot they get, the better the games become, the better for everyone who is interested in their simulation/games. If adding stuff like this takes away too much from the resources the devs spend on improving the simulation, then that is no good. I want the simulation to still be the main ingredient. I just think that it would be somewhat nominal to add some novelty units from a dev perspective since they can use all the techniques they are already using, and the increased attention the game series would get from more mainstream gamers would greatly benefit the ability for the company to make money off their software. You can't stop the mainstreams interest in these games anyhow, I think ED should continue to go with the flow, as long as its not distracting too much from being a serious simulation when it needs to be. With the millions of track IR videos on youtube showing off these beautiful and amazing games/simulations, I can only see more and more people becoming interested in the series or wanting to mod for it. To build on the simplified 'game' flight modes that they already include now, I just feel that adding in some more fun to the mix will only make it better. =RvE=Yoda has the right idea with the easter egg concept for something like this. Again, I am not saying it should be the focus of the games in any way, the games are already fantastic as they are and this would be an extra bonus for those who have spent a ton of time in the editor and want to include some really interesting units for their custom missions. Since lock on flaming cliffs, I have seen many of the same units in the editors from ED software aside from a few changes, I just think it would be mighty swell to see a few fantasy units someday. In fact, the new infantry units in the more recent game are a big inspiration for my idea! Many of you might not be worried about the UFO invasions, but surely you take ZOMBIES seriously.. No? Anyhow.. I love swooping in on the infantry, especially in the black shark. I would love to setup a scenario in the editor with a zombie outbreak. A small group of soldiers are defending a building and they shoot the zombies but they aren't falling! Zombies can only be killed by vehicle weapons and not small arms fire from infantry? Oh no!! The people are doomed as they only have small arms weapons! Here you come in with HE rounds and splatter the zombies before they can reach the people at the building! Now the rescue chopper comes in and picks up the survivors, you escort them to their base... On the way, a dragon like creature suddenly appears from the mountains! You manage to distract its balls of flaming spit stuff away from the rescue chopper and now its launching them toward you. Strafing sideways dodging the incoming doom, you lock on with the shkval and pop off two to the dome! Meeting up with the rescue chopper again, you fly off into the sunset and land safely at the nearest military airport...1 point

New version of the app is arrived !! we are now in 0.3. I have reworked the UI, better than the old one but not perfect I know ;) You can now have access to the check lists available in the flight manual. I have just rearranged them. But don't take care about these check lists because I know that everyone wants to use their own check list so in the next release you will be able to provide your own check lists with your own pictures and share them with your team or the community. Yes I want to add an encyclopaedia in the future, I think it will be great for mission designers, of course with pictures. Don't hesitate to e-mail me if you have some ideas about the UI and stuff like that. And everyone can e-mail me ideas at : yeepeekai at gmail dot com ;) Of course all new features will be added when existing features will be finished For the moment all you can use is the aidromes part of the app because I have added SHU77's airports diagram. If you want to have check lists and other stuff for Blackshark, not for the moment, but when you will be able to make your own check lists in the next release, why not add some check lists for blackshark ;) But if you think it can be usefull for users, why not considering making 2 apps, one for black shark, and one for Warthog... I don't know... First of all you can tell me by mail what can we change from the warthog app to make a black shark app1 point
