small price to pay for having a game get better for free :P but the easiest thing to do would be simply for ED to communicate patch releases a day or two before release - that way you'll be ready for it.
-
Actually you do have quite a lot to lose, there is no way to guarantee the quality of the module, as well as the timing - it might not come out or be 100% playable for 5 years for all we know. While if you wait until its released you will know exactly what you are paying for. Don't mean to be negative, I really hope that this module ends up being as good as any of the others and I'm looking forward to flying this thing! :)

come online :) If you can fly the plane and know how to shoot and release weapons you'll have a blast, you don't need to be a seasoned pro! You will learn quicker too. plenty of missions with unique content! :D

welcome to your new hobby :) A-10C is my first flight sim too( well the first one I've taken seriously enough to learn how to play instead of flying for a few minutes, wondering why its not as easy as battlefield 2 and then crashing.... )I started playing in January and since then have gone from flying with an Xbox 360 wired controller to accumulating a lot gear lol. If there is one tip I can offer is play multiplayer - if you can't get one of your regular gaming friends into it then go on a public server - it really speeds up the learning process as well as helps keep frustation down when something doesnt do what you want it to:joystick: And take things one step at a time :)

Couldn't agree more. Its hard to see reality through all of that green geometry!

Go with a touch screen overlay :) its cheaper and you can you use whatever monitor you want :D http://www.aliexpress.com/item/23-6Inch-Dual-touch-IR-Touch-Overlay-Frame-Panel-Supply-multi-touch-software-together-with-it/763193605.html I'm using one cause I couldn't find a touchscreen monitor that was capable of 120hz. It works great for A-10C because the 6DoF cockpit lets you lean right up to the small buttons :) So I suspect I'll be using it a lot for the F-35
-
its gone for me too, just not in the list for some reason.
-
apparently that is what they are aiming for :D those models look fantastic too! Can't wait for the videos, this is looking really promising. I'll be supporting the kickstarter for sure, I really would love to get the B version at least - STVOL is just too cool to not be used whenever possible :D
-
ROFL! that is quote of the year for me :megalol: edit: I wonder if they'll ever add a 6DoF cockpit for the su-25t - maybe it gets unlocked if you buy any of the modules. I find it dizzying using the trackIR in a 2DoF setting, something unnatural about it, so I stay away from anything that isn't 6DoF.

Can You Calibrate Warthog?

thanks quinncidence! configured my throttle, lines up perfectly now! -
TM Warthog - throttles don't line up
schkorpio replied to schkorpio's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Of course - I google everything else, why not this one time? :) Guess I'm just used to the great community. I think I've found it now http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1084321&postcount=7: Thanks for the suggestion :D EDIT yup all fixed now thanks to that little utility :) -
Do you have a copy of LOMAC?
-
This is actually an evil plot to get people buying old copies of LOMAC :P (yes I was one of the people that didnt win lol)
-
I've had my TM warthog for a about 5 months now, and I've just recently decided to split the throttles so that I can control each engine separately - handy for when one engine gets shot up :) However what I find now is that the when the throttles are connected via the little metal clip thing, the left throttle will register as about 1% less than the right throttle. So for example in FC3 in the F-15 the engine RPM will show as Left 92 and Right 93. Is there any way to recalibrate the throttles? I've done the Windows 7 calibration, and they both register the full range, it just seems that when the two throttles line up (with or without the clip) the left one is 1% behind.

When refueling, and rearming, or even getting repaired, I'd love for a ground crew to actually turn and and perform the work. Fuel truck action drives out onto the parking area and fills you up. Some crew walking around and "doing things" to your plane :) I'd give you something to look at while your stuck on the ground :)
-
Should work very well actually, thats a nice way to get a cheap HOTAS by getting a cheaper standalone flight stick and using the PS / Xbox style controller as your throttle hand.
-
yes please!:D
-
its probably been mentioned, but i'd love to have a pilot sitting in the cockpits of the planes - like you can do with blackshark. as cool as it is to fly ghost plane :)
-
+1 It would be really nice to be able to do a formation take off without the ATC telling you to hold position every 5 seconds haha. not to mention make missions a lot cleaner to make

The GAU-8: Does any movie get it right?
schkorpio replied to Antorian's topic in Military and Aviation
<aussie accent> welcome back john, so glad you could make it. </accent> -
Thanks Chris, and thank you for the kinda PM as well. I'm looking forward to the F-15's, F-35's and the F/A-18's :D You can never have enough awesome jets to fly.
-
I guess by this logic nobody is flying an P-51's either? Because they have no radar so an F-15 vs a P-51 is almost exactly the same match up as F-35 vs gen 4 aircraft. There is always co-op multiplayer too! edit: and why not balance the mission by having uneven numbers of adversaries? e.g. blue coalition spends 20 billion on buying 10 F-35s and Red coalition spends 20 billion on buying 45 su-35s or something like that. That would be an interesting mission. edit 2: now that i think about it, if both coalitions had 1 F-35 each it would make it interesting, because they would ideally want to take each other out first so that they can then dominate.
-
thats a very strange attitude from someone who is also developing a DCS module, I will be thinking twice about purchasing yours.
-
you can kill time by flying the F-35 of course :P

I'm too excited to say anything cool right now so i will just leave this smiley here :) ps. will be supporting the kickstarter at the first second.
