  1. Hi, Will the Rafale mod be added back in this? If not, it would be nice to have a way for users add their own units in without needing to learn Python.
  2. Version 6 is out! Now engines take time to start up or shut down. The controls are also a bit snappier.
  3. I don't have those modules, so I can't help you there.
  4. How have the devs not fixed this yet!? Great work, man!
  5. I'm glad you guys like my mod! I don't think it should be deleted with updates/repairs because it's outside the .zip file. I haven't tested it, but I think that's the case.
  6. The awful, pixelated, and completely unrealistic cockpit reflections in the Su-25(A) and Su-25T have bothered a lot of people including myself, so I went ahead and fixed it. Here's the Su-25 (Su-25"A" to avoid confusion): Here's the file: Su-25A reflection fix.zip And here's the Su-25T: Here's the file: Su-25T reflection fix.zip Installation instructions for both files: Drag the "mods" folder in the archive to your DCS installation directory. Enjoy being able to clearly see through the cockpit glass!
  7. Here's the trim knobs with normal flight mode: Here's the same knobs, adjusted in the same way in game flight mode: My control inputs work because the knobs turn in both modes.
  8. It's also a problem on the original Su-25 (in Flaming Cliffs 3). It's not even realistic!
  9. Nope, nothing works. Turning the knobs doesn't do anything either.
  10. It has been reported earlier, but when the mirrors are "off", they still have reflections. These reflections look terrible even on max settings. I'm just posting this a reminder that it's still a problem after the newest"stable" update.
  11. In easy/game flight mode trim does not work at all. Turning the knobs or pressing the trim keyboard commands doesn't do a thing. This means I need to constantly hold the stick in one position to counteract the propeller's torque.
  12. Well, it still hasn't been fixed as of the latest stable update (2.7.3.8494). It's just as bad on the Su-25A as well.
  13. Here's the Su-25 (A): Here's the Su-25T:
  14. The new "baked-in" cockpit reflections are a neat idea in theory, but would be better if they were optional and better-looking (not pixelated). The Su-25A/T are the worst, but this is what the mirror looks like in the Mirage-2000: In the options menu, SSLR (Screen-space light reflections I assume?) is OFF, and when I took this screenshot the mirror view was off.
  15. I can confirm it's the same with the "stable" version.
  16. There were already "integrity checks" as an anti-cheating measure for multiplayer if I remember correctly, so maybe they just don't want us to change stuff like that.
  17. There were integrity checks for multiplayer, right? Also, people choose to tweak their game data. Those who want a "level playing field" can simply not edit the files!
  18. Also, the clouds are a bit too blurry up-close.
  19. The new graphics options and clouds (at a distance) are pretty nice and all that but there are a couple things I'd like to get off my chest with this update. First is the loadout flavor text. It just seems too messy and cluttered now, especially with a bunch of acronyms that new players would need to figure out like UnGd, Rkts, HEAT, etc. Having the extra info in the encyclopedia worked just fine for me. Now that we can't edit the flavor text ourselves (more on that later), I'm not sure this descriptive stuff would be made optional. Also, I still have that issue from a previous "stable" update of stuttering in the mission editor/planner where clicking on a pylon slot causes the game to freeze for up to two or three seconds. Another thing that I don't like is the annoying baked-in reflections that seem "noisy" and pixelated. Turning off SSLR ("Screen-space lighting reflections" I think) does not fix this. Lastly, I have a couple thoughts about the "tweakability" of DCS. Last year, an update removed the ability to easily edit sound; so editing the default sonic boom sound needed to be done through a mod. I would like to change the new interior missile firing sounds, but I don't know how to because there are no sound files for core DCS any more! In addition, it was nice to be able to tweak weapon parameters. It was nice to be able to tweak DCS for a more balanced, fair, "game-like" experience, but now that's going to be a lot more difficult to achieve. I doubt we'll see that kind of "moddability" again, and that sucks. So overall, I think DCS 2.7.1 is one step forward, one step back.
  20. This effect REALLY needs to be optional.
  21. You can get the source code here: https://github.com/IGServal/Basic-custom-flight-model-for-DCS-World . The variables you are looking for are in the aerodynamics folder.
  22. Hey there, There is now autopilot! You can now use level hold, altitude hold, and altitude and roll hold modes. Damage effects are also there, but still needs work.
  23. What problem are you having? Make sure the files are in the right place; check the readme file for more info.
  24. Make sure to have meteor.edm in the shapes folder and meteor_textures.zip in the textures folder. If that doesn't work then it may be something to do with DCS 2.7; I haven't tried it yet.
