You do know that DCS A-10 doesn't use DX11, right? With regards to attracting new players, I disagree. I don't think a new Falcon needs to utilize DX11 to attract new players at all. All they really need is DX9 support. Many people don't even own DX11 cards, and the ones that do, probably couldn't tell you what is so great about DX11. Folks who bring up tessellation should take a few minutes to actually think about all the games that currently use it. It won't take long. Case in point. Some people were disappointed when they found out that DSC A-10 would not be utilizing DX11 after seeing all the screenshots. Later, people realized that the screenshots they saw of DCS A-10 weren't even of the product in DX11. lol I don't forsee DX11 being utilized all that much for at least another 1-2 years. Even then, it could end up being another DX10 flop. My .02c :)

If the Cougar was so great out-of-the-box, there wouldn't be such a demand for aftermarket mods. lol I, personally, would take my CH stuff over my Cougar any day of the week. Just an opinion there as I know some folks don't like CH gear. I am hoping that the DCS Warthog changes my current opinion based on my last TM purchase. :)

According to the TM Warthog marketing sheet, it uses Hall magnetic sensors and doesn't have gimbals.

I know, a stealth upgrade is out of the question. However, it is heavy enough to where if she tried to kick it she would just break her foot. lol

My apologies, Diveplane. I was at work and could not see your photo. I was able to read your text but there was no indication of a photo (our company blocks some photos and not others, except when a photo is blocked, there isn't even a red X). From your screenshot, it doesn't look like you are running FSAA at all.

Have you tried re-installing DirectX? Also, and I know this is always mentioned, have you updated your videocard drivers?

IIRC, I read somewhere that the hats can be moved by the end-user to suit individual preference.

Hopefully better than the POS HOTAS Cougar.

I am interested in this as well. Right now, I am considering waiting for the TM Warthog or going with the Saitek X65F or Logitech G940. The one thing that bugs me about the Saitek is the twist rudder feature. I have always hated that on all the Saiteks I have owned in the past (that and their short life, lol).

^^ Read this. IMO, there is nobody better at GPU reviews with regards to gaming. Personally, I would skip the GTX 470 and GTX 480. Both consume way too much power for what you get. If I was looking at the GTX 470, I would got for the ATI 5850. With regards to the GTX 480, I would wait for the 2GB version of the ATI 5870 which should be popping up within the ext few weeks. The current 5870 performs almost as well as the GTX 480 in most games, and those it loses too it does not lose by much at all. Meantime, the GTX 480 is consuming almost 2x the power and it costs more. 1 GTX 480 consumes more power than 2 ATI 5870s in CFX. From a price to power to performance perspective, the new GTX cards fall on their face. That was a issue with 1 driver. That problem has since been resolved and is no longer an issue at all.

I thought flight sims were dead. That there was no money in it. That the cost of development far exceeds any return. That sales are horrible. That no dev team in their right mind would tackle such a project. That the communities are extremely small and don't have enough "oomph" to warrant new flight sim products. To the naysayers around the videogame development/publishing industry, I politely ask you to suck it. Good job, ED.

That is unfortunate. I wouldn't mind buying the entire series again if it were on Steam, if not for the simple fact I can keep my CDs/DVDs all sealed up. I was hoping for a LOMAC + Flaming Cliffs + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 + DCS : Blackshark pack. 1 purchase, all in one shot. I know Flaming Cliffs is not required for Flaming Cliffs 2.0, but I'd purchase it again just to throw more support to the Development team.

Hey Wags, I was wondering if there might be a release of something along the lines of a "Total Pack" on Steam that includes LOMAC, Flaming Cliffs, and this new Flaming Cliffs 2 add-on. I can't remember of DCS : Black Shark has a Steam purchase option. Although I already own LOMAC and Flaming cliffs (Bought Lock-On Gold twice as well as the Flaming Cliffs download...what can I say, I'm a big supporter of moder jet simulators. lol), the ease of installtion and use with Steam is greatly appealing. Is Steam a viable purchase option for these products in the near future/future? Thanks for your time!

I am getting a strange issue with the Mig-21. When I am flying it, in-cockpit things are just fine, however, when I go outside the "F2" view is extremely choppy and eventually my Lock-On seems to become "Lock-Up". It's almost as if my machine just starts to run out of memory which is sort wierd since I am running a 1gb videocard and 6gb of system RAM. I tested my system with all of the default aircraft, the SU-25T, and the Simmod A-10 and this issue does not occur with any of these aircraft. I do not have any other add-ons installed outside of Lock-On FC and the 1.12 patch. Any ideas or help here would be much appreciated! Specs in sig. Thanks :)

I like the helo sound from the video "EDGE", so I think that is the Diveplane/G.A. soundmod...or is it just G.A....or is it just one part of the Diveplane soundmod? lol On a side note, I really like the Battlefield FX sound mod for rotor sounds and some other sounds, but I also like some of the default sounds. In all honesty, I don't think there is really just one "ultimate" soundmod since each one offers something the other doesn't. Your best bet is to try them all and create your own ultimate sound mod. :)
