  1. I voted for the mirage. Because that is the next module i'm going to get. I hope there will be information on how to employ the Mirage effectively in Air to Air combat as well. Good luck with whatever you choose.
  2. Netcode and other multiplayer features. I hope we can go up to 100 players per server.
  3. Jump online and get the first kill ever on a human player in 1.5 and see how he beautifully disintegrates with the graphics of 1.5 in the background.
  4. One of the things that have been bothering me is how you choose your plane in MP. Would it not be better to choose your airfield and choose your plane and ramp after that. Instead of the preset planes at airfield this and this. Makes it more easy to navigate and choose your plane in MP. As example: Now if i go onto a server with a lot of active airfields and a lot of available planes. I have to scroll trough the entire list (can be a lot) and jump in and out of airplanes to get the desired ramp. What if you have a little drop down menu where you can choose the available airfield, The available plane (pilot or WSO) on that airfield and the ramp/hangar nr. Would that not be more easy and user friendly? The only thing you have to search for is a open player slot.
  5. My tips for using AIM-7's: - Shoot them at SU-27's when they are doing high alpha maneuvers to dodge AIM-120C's and are slow. They always hit SU-27's and MIG-29's that are trying to dodge AMRAAMS successfully from close range. Always if i see a flanker or Mig do a Cobra or another crazy maneuver to make me overshoot or dodge AIM1-20 i send a AIM-7 their way. - They like MIG-21's as well. - Don't fire them upwards. For some reason they are even more easy to spoof that way. - Don't fire them at a fast moving target that is also doing high G turn's. - Don't fire them at a running target that is more than 3 miles from you. And even at 3 miles it's difficult. - Fire them when the bandit is moving towards you or if he turns for you. - Fire them around 6/7 miles from the bandit. - Fire them when friendly's are merged with enemy's instead of AIM-120C's for safety reasons Yesterday i was flying a mission on the 104th with two AIM-120C's, 4 sparrows and two AIM-9M. From the 30 kills and 8 deaths 14 of them where Sparrow kills. So they are pretty good if you know how to and when to use them. And sometimes if i kill a 104th member it's mostly with a AIM-7 Sparrow. But killing a 104th member does not happen much anymore. They are like Borg. They adapted to my tactics :(
  6. What i do is not dragging the fight into contrails. But i do use the contrails to give the enemy a false sense of security. So they get careless and are fixated on the contrail. This works especially good when you work with a wingman. But don't be fooled. Some people don't fall for this trick. It can be a highly dangerous tactic because others you don't see do see you.
  7. Really good man thx. I subscribed.
  8. I know the SU-27 is a awesome bird.. But come on, aren't all fighter jets. You can just switch to another jet till a nice SU-30 or 35 comes out. Don't limit your choices man.
  9. Ok i'm able to login at work while using Chrome. I will disable some applications at home and see if it will start to work again.
  10. I'm on Google Chrome. use Add block plugin for Chrome. And i use malwarebytes and AVG premium with browser protection. I'm at work now so i will try here and see if it works.
  11. Is there something we missing? I did this two months ago and it worked.
  12. It does login in Multiplayer. So the password is correct.
  13. I have the same issue. I wanted to go bu the Hawk from the ED website. But i forgot my password. I changed it twice successfully. But i also get the error "Incorrect check word for login "winchesterdelta". Can somebody help me out with this.
  14. I'm not really feeling guilty Stuge. But thank you for your concern :) I don't really care how people think i fly. As long as i and them have fun it's okay to me. I only care about the server rules and not annoying others. But i will start to behave more realistic if the mission will start to behave more realistically. The day that i can enter a MP server, setup a detailed plan and go for a high stake sortie, land and can do that all again with another target in the same mission while everything is moving dynamically, i will burst out in tears and thank the DCS gods.
  15. I am guilty to this sort of flying. (please Blaze don't slap me :p) But that's more because we are playing air to air death match instead of long range interdiction strikes. Or CAP with a meaning. Until we get semi realistic multiplayer scenario's i just see this as good fun.
  16. We can give him these tricks and than he can figure out why, when and how it works. It is still a game so you can try this 1000 of times and learn from that. If riding a bike was a video game you could do back flips 1000 of times and learn to ride the bike in game because there is no harm if you fail. And you will have loads of fun doing it. How many people on here study'd energy management, physics, basic and advanced BFM and how radars work in detail before they started up this game??? No we read something, we ask something we try it out. If it doesn't work we read something and ask something again. That is the fun of this. You don't need to do it the proper way from the beginning. But doing it the real/correct way certainly will make you learn it better. But you will require way more than only the DCS manual. And all that info is not readily available in a handy package with a super experienced instructor like for real fighter pilots. So i don't see any harm in this. Especially for people that just like fighter jets and try this game but don't have a clue what is important and what is not. They will learn by trial and error and doing stupid stuff. Or am i sounding totally retarded now? And i know for sure if i would know these tricks before hand i would have learned it way faster because than you have a general idea what to do and what to look for.
  17. One tactic is to notch the missile. But this requires some practice. To notch the missile you have to fly lower and slow than the target aircraft and put the missile or the launch platform on your 9 or 3 o'clock. This can be very dangerous because you will be flying slower than combat speed (Correct me if i'm wrong). Another tactic requires preparation before hand. And i'm talking from F-15 perspective. When you locked a target start cranking him and pick up speed. I fly around 600 /650 (but that is me and i don't know if that is totally correct. But it works in DCS). Cranking is putting your target in your radar gimbal limits. When 14/13 miles from the target turn into him fast. Line up and release your weapon and start cranking him again. Wait for your missile to go pitbull, slice back and run as fast as you can flying low. Without fuel tanks you can easily make the missile bleed to much speed. If he fires within 5 miles and you are already running from him keep running and pull some hard g's snaking left right at the moment you hear the missile warning. Don't bleed all your speed, you want to stay around 650 /700 to be sure to defeat it. if you are within 8 miles head on and he fires a missile you better react quick. Slice back and find a mountain or hill to hide behind. In all these situations (not the notching one) speed is the key. If you do this at 400 mph or lower and you don't find a hill/mountain to hide behind you will be death for sure. Also when you are running from your shooter and he is very close you better be sure he is not following you anymore. Because if you turn back in he is going to fire and the missile will hit you at the moment you lined up to him. Also remember when running away is that it's really hard for the missile to catch up on you, so don't lose to much speed while running and when snaking try to pick up the speed again after some hard G's. This is because some people will fire a couple AMRAAM's just to get you defensive and lose speed. They know their missile will miss. But they also know there is a big chance you will try to defend for the missile to hard and bleed to much speed so he can creep up on you. You can do this tactics also with two fuel tanks still on. But you need to be sure what you are doing. Pointers * SPEED is life. * Cranking makes the missile bleed more speed. (Put locked target in gimbal limits of radar > At the edges of your radar left or right so you barely keep the lock) * Always have a escape route if fighting close in against actives. * Never turn back in if the guy is still following you or shooting at you (There is a way to do it without getting hit. But requires practice and timing and the use of max turn radius. And he has to be close) DISCLAIMER: I'm not the all knowing type of person. So other people can maybe give you the exact numbers like speed / altitude / AOA / MAX turn radius. But in a good day and if i'm not to cocky or tired i can defeat missiles all day even within 6 miles. *****When you see another F-15 cranking you. You are in for a quick death or a good fight. Because he is probably a experienced fighter and you have to be extra careful and don't push to hard. You can surprise those pilots by releasing your missile when you fly around 700/750 after you come out of the crank 12 to 11 miles from him. You missile will reach him faster than he expects. And your missile will pick up even more speed before pitbull, before he gets a missile warning.******
  18. If it's true what the book say's and a lot of MIG-29 pilots do that, how can it be a horrible idea? Offcourse what GGTharos happens.. But if many 29 pilots do that why should that not be included. If this is realistic than it should be in this sim that claims it wants everything done as realistic as possible. Even if it has some down falls.
  19. Change to medium PRF. Had the same issue with people sneaking up on me even when i had them on my RWR. Also watch out for the people that dive from up high. You can see them on your RWR but if you don't realize he is coming from almost straight up you will not find him. bets thing is when you see a RWR contact you can not find on your radar is to run away behind the closest hill.
  20. I had the same issue. But it disappeared after i got a SSD. (My DCS hard drive broke down). Check if there is enough space left on that HDD/SSD or even your windows drive. So for me it had something to do with the HDD being broken. Or that my HDD always was full. Especially the partition where my OS was installed on. But also check your disc where DCS is installed on. Clear the %temp% folder and delete your track files. Should clear up some space. If it not works try to do a disk check (run in CMD > chkdsk /f and reboot PC) On reboot the disc check will start.
  21. The ones i like to see would be the: B1B Lancer TU-160 Blakcjack B-52 Stratofortress E-3 Sentry A-50 Mainstay KC-135 Stratotanker KC-10 Extender
  22. The Sunday public event on the 104th playing with a human AWACS was great fun again. Here some more footage.
