I am in the middle of restoring a suncom throttle to Usb and modernizing the whole lot. I was going to rebuild the pots for hall sensors. But after testing them I've found them to be in really good working order. I have a Leo Bodnar BU0836 in the mail and I'm all ready to wire everything up except the pots. The BU0836 has a 5volt, ground, and input for its pots hookup. (3wires) The pots in the suncom only have a ground and input. (2 wires) If I only wire it up with these 2 wires will the board recognize it? The pots have another terminal that is not used. I don't want to just wire it up and pray. To easy to fry it. I should get the BU0836 Monday. Any one know there way around this?

A dremel tool is useful. Need a steady hand.

I was playing a10 on a very similar setup. Don't expect great fps. But it is certainly payable on med-low settings. I upgraded during beta. So I expect it would run better than it did for me then. I have friends that play the the quad 8600 and they don't complain any. If I was you. I would upgrade graphics, then your CPU mobo RAM. Some new cpus are around the corner and I expect current prices to drop soon. Graphic seem pretty set in prices.

I think its safe to say that ED net is here to stay. What are some features you would like to see added when you log in to play online? 1. A central chat room. Get a few people together and join a server. Enough said. 2. Patch Notification. Nothing is worse then logging onto to DCS and to find all your servers are gone. I think people on the forums check often enough to know when a new patch is out. But new players may be in the dark. 3. News board. This ties in with 1 and 2. After login you can see the latest DCS news. Such as a patch is out or community events. Right now the only real reason to login in to ED net is to run Eagle Dynamic DRM. That is only one copy online at a time. Which I have no complaints about. I have never been held back as an honest customer using EDs product. However, if I'm logging into a server to check my game copy, I would like some basic features in return. Im not demanding anything. This is the wish list thread after all. What do want added?

The original poster wants to be able to trim with and axis even if the aircraft has electric trim. Hence the statement "Don"t see any rape of this simu soul." If he has the hardware to use trim axis. I don't see what it could hurt. Frost is right Trim is an ON/OFF switch.

It's hard to explain in type. But I will try my best. Hold both brakes, push your throttle in till you get that surge. Pull the throttle back to idle, at the same time take off your brakes. Done right, you will have just enough power to get you rolling and the idle will keep you rolling. Are you flying a 150 or 152. Tricycle or standard gear? My experience is in a 152 Tricycle. I always hated the rubber band feel you get off the nose wheel. In some wind you'll find yourself full rudder to maintain your taxi.

The difference is only 1-2 knots in a cessna. And with a training aircraft that has 30 years on the air frame, even less. An acrobatic aircraft at an airshow is something else completely. They have the power to fly like a helicopter.

I'm a little late to this party but congratulations on a great new adventure. The PPL. I don't know what is different between US and Great Britain with training. So I can't help ya with any of the regulations. I do have about 20 hours in a warrior. I did all my training in a 152 and I moved up into a warrior when I started my IFR. One day the warrior was double booked at the airport I move to the Archer. I now know that the warrior is under powered. At least I think it is. The warrior is a very easy airplane to fly. It will "float" more on landing than a cessna. But until you get the chance to fly other aircraft none of this will make any sense. I wish you the best of luck with all of your training. It may seem like too much to learn but you'll get it.

I didn't read all 5 pages but I think I have a simple solution to the problem. Raise the hit points of a building high enough that a cbu can't bring it down. But a direct 500 pounder will. Is it possible to make a building have more hp?

I'm pretty sure you can edit the labels in LUA so that they show any color you choose. Also I think you can edit labels to show at different distance. If someone pointed this file out I'm sure we could get everything you asked for with labels. I don't know if you can have different types of unit show at different distances. If I have time ill work on this later. I would mind labels if it was only a tick mark the whole time. Then at least ill know to investigate it with the TGP. I remember a thread on this subject a long time ago in FC2. Of course you can't play online with any server that integrity checks.

I think Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 required it to be installed with Steam. If you can find your steam account it will be saved there and so will the cd key. I know its listed in my steam account and i bought the dvd set.

Well. I just got home and checked what I own now. I looked it up on newegg and the reviews are horrible. lol. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817394045 I don't know why I have not had a problem with it. I've owned it for over a year now. I run my hotas, track ir, mfds, and a portable hard drive. 5 ports out of 7 everyday. It has worked flawlessly for me. I pretty much plugged everything in and pushed it off the back of my desk. On a side not. The ac adapter is twice as large as the hub. With my luck today it will fail next week when I have a week vacation from work. :P Good luck finding one for your needs.

I'll let you know what I'm using when I get home. Until then. ONLY LOOK AT POWERED HUBS. I cannot stress this enough. The mfds draw a lot of power. Also, some powered usb hubs don't supply enough power for the usb and become unstable. A usb port is limited to 500 milliamp. So a 4 port usb hub should have a 2 amp power ac adapter. A 7 should have around 3.5. I have made the mistake and bought the cheapest usb hub I could find. It would reset mid flight which can ruin you virtual day. It was 7 port with a 2amp adapter. Didn't work well.

FYI. You can get FC2 aircraft flyable in DCS A10 beta. It's very buggy and you will BSOD a lot. If you want controls you have to copy your inputs file from FC2 into a10 install. Rename a lot of stuff in there. And you won't get your keyboard commands to work but you can get your hotas setup. BTW are you doing this in beta 1 or 2? If I remember correctly beta 2 lost a lot of functionality from beta one. The closer to RC you get. The less the aircraft will work. BTW. You can get blackshark to work using the same method in beta. That's a whole new nightmare. Send me a PM. I will send you to someone that can truly help. If they are still willing.
