I still don't know why everyone thinks its going to be a F-xx plane. Think about DCS Global Hawk, or DCS Predator. The US has a lot of interest in UAVs and more importantly, training UAV pilots. I believe the US is in the process of extending its F16 block 50 fleets service life. At least they are taking bids to contractors for and extension program. I can see some hope for a DCS 16 because of that. The super hornet is still in production. So I guess its wide open to what the next DCS will be.

Right now you can play Warthog with exports on. That's only because there is no real level is pvp in it. I hope this continues when blackshark is patched to work with Warthog.only when you add air-to-air combat does it become important to lock a server down. Otherwise there's too much risk of someone yelling the cheater the 1st time they are shot down. If some is cheating in online right now(using F11 to get unit grid cords), they are only really cheating themselves. As for the idea of multiple export files that can pass one IC, +1. My simpit, just doesn't live up to its potential online.

If you are just "getting into" the lock on world, I would recommend FC2. The multiplayer is always active somewhere. It's a lot less to learn off the bat. Also you can fly several less complex aircraft in FC2. In both blackshark and a10 you can only fly one aircraft. Blackshark is great is you want a helicopter sim. A10 is awesomly complex and has a good online crowd. Also FC2 and blackshark are compatible online. A10 and blackshark will soon be compatible as well. So you will see a mix of aircraft in all servers, expect A10. If you plan to play online with any of these titles, you have to learn how to navigate and use the weapons in single player 1st.

I guess I'm going to dig up my thread from the grave. Added some updated photos. I got a new TV and other varies tweaks. I cannot get DCS A-10c to run without constant CTD, I hope a new pc will solve that later next month. The old controler works well. I extended my Cougar. Works well. Just have to come up with a better mounting. Multi-Screen working well in Blackshark.

Please upload the mission. I assume you are running this in the Blackshark ME. Also. With the targeting points, you have to place them a ways out. Give the aircraft time to line up there shots.

Is there a way to copy and paste planes from another mission using the .lua?

If you don't want to use helios or cannot afford it. You can still export the mfds. The rest of the screen will just be black. I'm using velcro and cardboard to cover that up during use. When not in game I pull it off and have duel monitors. You will take a noticeable performance hit. I am running a AMD FX 74 3Ghz quad core, GTX 285, 4gigs men, ssd's and took a 15 fPS drop. From 30 to 15-20. I went back to a single screen for now. I didn't want to lower many of the settings as my main monitor is and 40inch tv. The game get ugly blown up with lowered settings. When I'm done building a new pc I plan to resume using both monitors.

Im trying to understand the question. I read back threw your post and couldn't figure out what your asking exactly. Are you asking about using different resolutions through multiple screens? Heres a tip from Blackshark panel building. Pause the game, then flip all your switches once. Unpause. They should all take the the controllers state.

I used a logictec 3d Pro for a long time and it worked very well for me. I moved on to a modded cougar. But it was surprisingly smooth and accurate from day on to the day I stopped using it. I would recommend a small deadzone for the rudder. (Twisting joystick) as it can throw your gun runs of with the A10a. its also cheap.

Xkeys is what I plan to use for the UFC and CDU. Supports 128 keys. It would ne something look into. I plan to only use it for the UFC and CDU. I don't know how well it would work for switches. On/Off ect.

I think right now ED is evolving its dcs at a good pace. Black shark had the sound engine put on a 2nd core.A10 got 64 bit support. Dx 11 is being hinted at in a future patch for Nelis. Dx 11 has the ability to split its own workload across all available cores. Civilization 5 did this very well. Running the game in Dx11 is a smoother experience than dx9. By moving its CPU load for graphics to all cores, it freed up the single core that game ran on to improve overall performance. It's not tire muti core support, but its a major step in the right direction. As stated before. It's not a question of if, but when. I give it 2 more releases before DCS sees more than 2 cores being used directly from the sim itself. Dx 11 should fill that gap in time if its done right.

Well. I managed to get the clone button and toggle to show up in the ME. When I started to try and get them working they caused so many errors. I undid what I started. It showed some promise. If Blind and Dragon ever want someone to help test out. I would be more then willing to help. Time permitting of course.

I have been trying to reverse engineer your mod.I hope you dont mind too much. I love it in FC2 and I have had a very hard time making missions in DCS without the clone button. Also toggle was a big one. I found only 3 files that have clone in them. All my attempts to copy paste bits and pieces have failed... If anything works ill let you know. I have very little LAU experience. Again. ED if your reading. Add this to the ME! my mouse has gone defective after one making one mission in DCS!

How hard would it be to add just the 'clone' button to the dcs A10 sim?

F-16 block 50. The USAF is working on a program to extend the life of this airframe to 12000 hours. New pilots will have to be trained. I'm sure a DTS would aid in that training. My bet is on this aircraft as the next DCS. If its not. I will still love the next DCS. Regardless what it is.

If I recall correctly, they are set to move too fast. Think default is 20km/h. Set them to 5.

I am also looking for how to have a server not pause on mission load. How do they do it for FC2? It's really holding my server project planning back.
