Now that they drop the F-35 all is out of the window in terms of represented versions, capabilities, accuracy and realism.. I guess that we can ask for the F-5 everybody deserves..

"Getting the most out of my purchases" is a better way to put it. I'm not here to defend toxicity nor suggest that a product should come with lifetime free support and upgrades. At the same time I will not criticize fellow customers providing productive feedback on how awesome this module could be. If i only vote with my wallet and leave the explanations to toxic voices, I can't hope for any meaningful change.
-
As a customer I would also try to get my return on investment. Seeking feedback from others, understanding current state and future potential of the product, what is the vision of the company for this and other modules and their plan for an healthy environment. And yes I would do this even if "it is only 9.99". My opinion is that I would have been willing to pay more —it is not a cheap hobby after all— if it meant a stronger commitment to elevate this module to be on par with the others. Offering a cosmetic upgrade for a bargain price gives me the impression that all the community's wishes and hopes will be frozen for another decade if not for good. All the feedback in these days sounds like the community loves the F-5 more than ED do, a missed opportunity. Perhaps with a higher quality product, enthusiasm could have been greater, trust could have been renewed, and sales might even have been stronger —but that's speculation on my part. Removing the product from the trial program is concerning, preventing potential customers from "see for themselves" and leaving the marketing keys in the hands of the community which, understandably, has mixed feelings right now. I hope that continuing this conversation politely and constructively can spark some interest and lead to a reevaluation of this project.

I don't have the module, but the ns 430 could be 3D modeled to fit into the cockpit and not as a floating window. that would keep the version ED is focused on "realistic" giving the players a new system for their F-5. It would also make that module more appealing..

Understood that the new remaster focuses on cosmetic upgrades and attention to detail (even the interiors of the gun panels are modeled: an interesting choice more eye candy for a sim mechanic than a sim pilot, in my opinion). Also understood that the module depicts a very particular version of the F-5, so features like a refueling probe, additional weapon systems, or weapon configurations are understandably not included. However, I suggest adding essential ground equipment such as: - Ladder - Air Start Unit - Intake Covers, Safety Pins etc. These items are fundamental for any version of the F-5. They don't require new systems, and a simple 3D model that appears during startup and shutdown procedures would be enough for me. Including these elements would bring the immersion on par with modules like Heatblur's Phantom. I love the F-5 and appreciate that ED is keeping it up to date alongside newer modules. Considering their approach and focus in this remaster, I’m hopeful that my suggestions align with their vision.

Hello and thank you for this! regarding the F-4E, is it possible that after the recent update crew chief operations don't work anymore? Am I missing something? -
Concerns about G-Onset and Damage to wings

If i understand this issue correctly would an option to tie the x y axis not to the movement of the stick but to the force applied by the pilot be helpful? -
This module seems pretty popular even today, and at least fixing the bugs would extend its life for those who own it, would sell some more as a solid product and a simple and capable platform, and would give ED more appreciation and faith in their upcoming projects. IMHO I think it would be worth it.

HERE Is a great gallery of pictures of the RF-4EJ: note the cannon and the different pods. This could be the easiest way to implement a recon platform.

Any way to disable the camera auto contrast/gain introduced in 2.8?
goofball replied to Giskvoosk's topic in General Bugs
The brightness of the whole screen seems to change (quite drastically) depending on the color at the center of the screen. The result is that either the inside cockpit is visible but the outside is too bright, or the outside is good but the cockpit is too dark. I use opentrack and the transition between the two conditions is frequent and really slow. Moreover, using headtracking I don't always look at the center of the display, and if by chance the darker canopy bow is in middle screen, I cannot see outside. I'm not sure this is DCS, but I tried to solve all Windows issues before, with no result. -
Success! Thank you all for this topic, to me these things are akin to vodoo spells.. in the pictures you can see the list numbers in a "positive" font, and the ** missing from the auto steerpoint.. am I missing/mistaking something or this is the current situation of this project?

Thank you for this mod! I've noticed that in the community A-4E the glass of the hud gets wet.. is it solvable or it depends on the materials mod/module creators choose for the aircraft?

Helios 1.6 - Official Thread
goofball replied to derammo's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
how do you do it? i've tried but the mfds appear to be transparent.. -
Thank you! This is such a beautiful skin that I started messing with descriptions and applying roughmets for the first time! The results are better than default, but all the "dirt" is in the DIFF.dds files. I was wondering if it's possible to separate the dirt from the livery in another layer (I use photoshop) in order to add that layer to other (skins) DIFF.dds..
