That would be a request for ED rather.

@LanceCriminal86 might know.

We have not seen any reference of the BDU 45LG ever used with the Tomcat. It used BDU-57 through -60 instead as LGTRs. (Thanks to @Naquaii for pointing that out to me.)

I did lately experience these freezes myself, however much sooner than others, and it turned out to be a mem related issue on my part - so this may not be a reply to the general issue at hand, which we are still chasing. What fixed the freezes for me was doing the following upon the suggestion of one of the testers: Open a cmd.exe as Administrator and type in the following commands: sfc /scannow dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth After that restart your PC and see if it helped. Please note: this may not be a fix for the issue (and if you do not experience any ram or driver issues wont help), but may be a fix if you are experiencing the issue due to RAM or driver issues like I did. So it is worth giving it a try. And please let us know if that helped. Big thanks to @Special K for the tip above. Thank you also for this initiative, it helps us get a better overview.

Talk about getting carried away, literally.

Let's all focus a bit more on the topic at hand please and not discuss the ins and outs of PvP. I can just say this from my/our perspective: we all come from the PvP community (or, most of us) to some extent, and it is very dear and close to our hearts. But never has nor ever will PvP balancing considerations play a part in our decision making regarding realism. What that means, and what kind of consequences the PvP community takes from that, is left up to them, not us. The server hosts, event organizers, etc. decide all what they think is best for themselves, and no matter what decisions they make, we will always support them. Our job is to simulate as accurately and true to real life as humanly possible. Their "job" is to make the best of it, play the game and have fun, whatever that means for each and everyone.

In the B, no AB on take off, and in the A, you can reduce it a bit just after take off, and even if not, you should have ample time to retract the flaps. Just something you need to prepare yourself ahead for.

Guys, I appreciate your thoughts, but as we say in german, let us leave the church in the village. (which in English translates to let's not get carried away...)

Thank you, we'll look at that, too.

Already did, just didn't have the time to reply proper yet. It is on the list, albeit a slightly lower priority currently, we have a ton of stuff going on as we speak, but hopefully within the next 2 patches or so. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Feedback Thread - F-14 Tomcat Patch, Sept. 1st 2022
IronMike replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
The Top Gun skins being there several times was likely a mixup within the repo. -
Here, check out Karon's great website. https://flyandwire.com/category/gaming/dcs/f-14-rio/

Thank you for the report. Does anyone else experience this issue? I will see if I can check myself this week. Thanks again!

Jester - voice controlled - a wish to Heatblur
IronMike replied to Lt_Jaeger's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
We will keep your wish in the back of our minds, and who knows, one day it may seem appropriate and feasible to go down that route - but to manage your expectations, currently it would be outside of what we can do time-wise. You can imagine that our plate is pretty full, and thus we need to focus on the core things primarily, maintaining and bringing to release both Viggen and Tomcat, as well as of course continuing with the development of our upcoming modules. Thus I will say, for now, it is rather unlikely. -
Exagerated HUD font size, viewed from RIO backseat [NO BUG]
IronMike replied to Top Jockey's topic in Bugs and Problems
Not a bug. This is how it is supposed to be. -
In principle, yes, but you would have to try on a skin by skin basis. You can simply move them from the A to the B folder or vice versa and see if they work ok. Note that you will have to do that again after each update unfortunately.
