  1. Can you post your mission please?
  2. That is because the -B had a significant amount of too much excess power on release, which got fixed.
  3. Thank you. Was this a one off, or can you reproduce it? If you can, the mission file would help. Thanks.
  4. Eagle Dynamics is aware and looking into it as we speak.
  5. You can't. And it does take a few minutes...
  6. The fact simply remains that @fat creason is busy with his normal job, and until he has time to take up the matter again, we need to be patient, all of us together. We don't want to give this to someone else, because this is his baby. The margin is not so big to have any really severe impact, and I think we all owe it to him to simply sit tight, until he has some space to breathe again. Thank you for your kind understanding and tremendous patience.
  7. What also needs to be noted though, is that it would take a very long time to get there. It is not a continuous or instant acceleration from M 1 to like M 1.5... It takes plenty of time. And climb, level, accelerate, climb level and accelerate again may be needed.
  8. that's a bug, you can disregard it, well, until you landed 100 times in a row but it is known.
  9. left shift P and general option is currently bugged, pressing it twice should work. we will look into making it assignable to a mouse button.
  10. This is a DCS issue as it turns out and ED is aware and looking into it as we speak. Thank you all for your reports.
  11. We just tested this, and none of our testers can reproduce it.
  12. The natural position of an average (or even smaller) pilot in the Tomcat actually is looking into the canopy rail above the HUD. However, I will ping @Cobra847about this, if there is something that can be done about it. But leaning forward and looking underneath the canopy rail, was indeed a thing.
  13. Thanks for the report, like I replied, it is not a bug as such, but ED reacted to it and wrote to us, so we will look if there is a solution, but no promise.
  14. Chaff and flare in the Tomcat must be selected through the ground crew comms menu, due to the nature of the cartridges. This has been like that since release, and while sometimes one can get away with it to do it with the sliders, it usually creates issues.
  15. Good news guys, we were finally, finally able to reproduce it in the debugger. Now it means digging for it and fixing it, but at last some progress. For now it looks like it is hidden in some dll, but we cannot fully say yet, it does not point to one clear thing just as of yet. However, we're on its tail.
  16. Thank you, we fixed this and the lantirn crash already internally.
  17. It is not a bug. It is simply how active missiles are modelled. The A is different as in not being treated like an active missile all the time, which is why the target size switch works. This is not possible to do with the C. It is not an ideal way to do it with actives, we agree, but it is not a bug per se.
  18. Thanks you for the insights!
  19. Because it is not possible. ED needs to implement a livery manager, and until then we will offer what we offer, because the vast majority of our customers want that. I cannot say this often enough, we are well within the average of what the industry standard is, and well within completely acceptable limits, not only for simming, but the gaming industry in general. That has nothing to do with forcing views. It was an explanation. A HOTAS is fairly expensive in comparison - should we dumb down the flight model so that folks can fly with keyboard and mouse instead? It is a preposterous proposition. Sims require a significant amount of investment to be played, such is the nature of sims. The least of said investment is disk space. But be that how it may - we do what we do to offer both quality and quantity to our customers. We will continue to push boundaries in simming. This is not debatable, and never will be. Full stop. This discussion over 15GB, in the year 2022, has been going on long enough. It is ok if some disagree, but they are a tiny minority, and managing their disk space is not on us, but on them. The solution is also not one that we can provide, but ED. In fact, we will add more skins - as has been the plan all along, and which is also acceptable as we will offer ultimately not one, but four aircraft variants. We will not change our approach and force the vast majority to deal with extra downloads, lack of conformity, etc etc, so that the smallest minority can have it their way. And everyone needs to accept that please, whether they agree or disagree. Because what is being asked here is to inconvenience thousands of our customers to accommodate a handful of people. I am sorry if that disappoints some, but this has quite frankly been wasting our time long enough now. If anyone would like to see liveries as optional downloads, please address ED to create a livery manager for DCS, and we will be most happy to follow suit. The topic and matter is closed for us - please do not start new ones. We heard your input, we heard your arguments, and the answer is and will continue to be no. Unfortunately we cannot make everyone happy. Thank you for your kind understanding.
  20. Thank you, we are aware, and as you say, it is a FLIR issue, which ED needs to address.
  21. If vanilla for you means only Caucasus and no other module, it may be 14%, but as you can see above, if you run several modules and maps, it is absolutely trivial, and I currently have 3 maps not installed and several modules and campaigns not installed. This again is an unfair and skewed comparison.
  22. An older module with only 1 variant, that is not even half the size of a Tomcat vs a much newer module that in itself is larger, comes with 2 aircraft variants, a free aircraft carrier, hundreds of missions, several campaigns, 2 cockpits x 2 (with 2 aicraft variants)... It is like asking a pineapple why it could not grow to the same size of an apple. The mirage was also built in 2013 - then compare the general GPUs used in that time to the ones used in 2019 and beyond. Please stop wasting our time with this, sorry if I have to put it so bluntly now.
  23. Please stop - this is getting ridiculous. No we won't buy a new disk for you, last time I checked activision did not buy me a new disk when I could not install MW2019 either - I had to wait 1 year before I could try it, because I did not have the space and not the money to spare, simple as that. And, no we are not forcing our potential customerbase from buying our products, please do not try to blackmail us into changing our development choices to accommodate an issue that is anything but widespread in the community. Sims need space. A lot of space. They need fairly well equipped gaming PCs. Going into simming, this should be both known and expected. DCS will continue to grow in size. With each module and each map. Should we all stop developing now, so no one will ever have to upgrade their disk space? I think not. The solution to skins, again, is a livery manager, and again: you are asking for it on the wrong forums. We will support the wish for a livery manager with ED, but that is all we can and want to do about it. Please accept that.
  24. To add to what @Cobra847 said - it is also not such a mixed bag, because so far I count 2 people who want less and smaller skins, against thousands of our customers who do not, and hundreds of requests that we got who actually want even more. Not saying that there are not potentially more who stand with you, there very well may be. But in all the years since release - if - maybe a handful of ppl ever asked us to reduce our skins at best, versus hundreds who asked for more liveries, and thousands who are content with it as is. We get it, you care deeply about this. But that does not turn the general consensus of the community into a "mixed bag". If you say you are running a server, I also very well hope it is a dedicated one that does not render. In which case this has zero performance impact for the server as well.
  25. Please do point out where I have been rude to anyone. The fact remains that we are well within industry standard, and not even on the upper end compared to other sim modules on the general flight sim market - if that is arrogant for you, I am sorry, but we disagree. And I also disagree that providing higher quality skins, which are still smaller than the largest skin in DCS, and simply demand a larger size, is being arrogant. If disagreeing with you is considered rude, then sorry, but I don't know what to tell you. And what you consider meme skins, others do not, and they are exactly 2, and if removed would make a difference of precisely 291,6 MB combined. The vast majority of the community wants more skins, not less, and better skins, not worse. Requests for more and new skins are among the most frequent requests we get. The many iconic F-14 liveries are also part of the Tomcat culture, and thus expected of us. Stating these facts, in my book, is not rude. My apologies if you think it is.
