  1. Well I finally got it done without autothrottle, and must say it's alot better, and of course the challenge factor is much better...
  2. Actually I think it's a quasi bug as I've never gotten to fill up totally. Probably something to do with using autothrottle, as once I'm hooked up, it stays where it's at when I hook in.
  3. Just ran through it and pretty nice. Key things to remember is that once the player is hooked up to the aircraft, that it's all scripted, so he or she can just relax until the fuel is transferred. Plus a good tip is to mention the basic keys, and that by hitting the "R" key, the HUD will automatically show the distance to the tanker. Just keep to the basics
  4. I think it's more or less telling the rest of the engine to "look" for the cockpit that he's working on. So it may take some more of ED's (official or unofficial) help on the matter, but definitely looks cool and it wouuld give an excuse (as small as it may be) to get the Bug into LO.
  5. Night:
  6. Touch and Go's: Day: Cont'd
  7. For me the Mig-29 took me a total of 18 hours just for the template, I'd say for the custom skin total time took me almost a day. Hell the splinter was the easy part...
  8. It's at http://www.lockonfiles.com Though it's needing some work as far as rendering IMHO
  9. Yeah that was fun times indeed... but yeah FrankHog pretty much hit it on the head. And funny Thomas DW, just  Seriously Ramstein, SuperKungFu and FrankHog pretty much gave you the response you need, as we're in the same boat ;)
  10. Shoot I was more impressed by the use of the Cobra in a combat situation, great flying by that flyer
  11. Good stuff man, thanks!
  12. Yeah god forbid you have to use imagination and not "real world tactics", I mean using the vulnerabilities to your advantage, why that's unheard of! :D I mean this topic has gone on this long and still there's not a quantitive thought to the whole "ECM Blinking" issue. Seriously I haven't figured out what the problem is, or what the point is, and that's just browsing this topic. I mean if my jammer could do that (I mean can it do that in real life?) and I knew I had some HOJ missiles pointed at me, you think I wouldn't do it? I mean once I knew I was blasting the hemisphere with jammer signals, and knew I had a HOJ missile on the way, wouldn't it be cool to like, turn off the jammer? Oh no, that's cheating too, and I'd do that on a server just to see if it actually broke the missile's lock. Oh silly me. Anyways, like anything else that has been debated and wasted time on, BAN IT FROM YOUR SERVERS, and life will go on. If you don't like it, don't allow it and stop wasting space and time on a topic that should have been dead long ago.
  13. Was very nice, sometimes you have to remember that the Flanker is a combat aircraft, and this movie sure makes that known ;)
  14. It's not impossible, just takes you closing in to burn through, then "blinking" is irrelevant, or even constant jamming.
  15. Actually it saved me alot of trouble by having an F-15 Template handy. It saved me alot of time so thanks Mr. Wolf
  16. Actually I quite liked the movie, and made me wish they would either redo (never flew the original so I really don't know but I heard great reviews) the original or of course be in LOMAC, so it was cool
  17. It's coding really, as I have to settle with Kh-31As for the SEAD role, reason being they found the loophole that allowed the -33 to fire any kind of ARM in 1.02, so you can't (and the Fantasmagoria ETS pod doesn't work AFAIK either, least so far for me). Same thing with optically guided weapons. Thing is back in Flanker 2.51 the Su-33 was being tested in Russia as the Su-33M, which gave it true precision strike capability, in which the -33 was modeled in that sim. Since funding went dry on that project (sad sad state of affairs), the ED devs removed that ability, so the Su-33 never had the capabilty to fire (IRL or in Lock On) optically guided weapons and realistically anti-radiation missiles. The fact that the Kh-41 is used is because it's been seen at MAKS airshows with it. So the vast majority of precision weaponry is only laser guided weapons until things change, but that's up to the devs and current capabilities of the modelled aircraft. If there was a way to do it, I'm sure it'd be done now.
  18. Is it because you're on a different build? Though I'm sure that part may have not been touched, but I usually get best results with GBU-16/10s than GBU-12s on the -33. Matter of fact I dropped them from my list as available weaponry. As for the -154s it may be specialized coding as they probably are like Kh-59Ms, but Colt40Five has figured a way... and that brings to mind as I need to ask him myself...
