Hi Leopard! I use a white texture to take the screenshots -- I will assume that using OVGME did not add the texture to the "texture.zip" file -

I plan to create several ground assets, mainly NATO 70s/80s, all independently. Unfortunately, while there are some interesting Soviet assets, it’s often more difficult to find clear information about them. -

I’m proud to say that the project is still active, but progressing slowly due to: A- I got an exciting new job. B- I’m in the middle of a home renovation. C- I was contacted by a couple of developers to model the interior of a well-known mod. With the cockpit of that aircraft about 30% complete, I put my personal project (the Huey) on hold to support that other one. However, they suddenly stopped all communication without prior notice, and all my attempts to reach them were unsuccessful. It now seems like they won’t continue the project. So, once I get my life reorganized, I’ll definitely be able to dedicate more hours to the project. thanks!! I will read it when I find some free time- 56 replies

The problem is the extract tool that you are using. Uso another extractor like 7zip and you will have all the content inside- 524 replies

From what I understand: Grey cockpits, before being made NVG-compatible, had red lights. Black cockpits designed for NVG use have all green lights. Our Huey is a bit of a Frankenstein, with an upgraded NVG-compatible cockpit, so it has no red lights—only green.
-
Great.. I made more test. Dropping close to the height and without reaching the delay time wasn't working neither. For the moment, the time delay looks like it does nothing
-
that sounds logic to me.. thanks for the info
-
Run some test. For the moment in all the fuse configurations the droplets disperse by height and not for time. Tail= height / nose= eight / nose and tail= eight / safe= spins but not open the cannister. BTW -- the canister should spin entirely? looks weird...
-
Maybe we can develop a consist method of study and give a little hand to the heatblur team... make some test and share the results here. When I have some time I will try for my self

I would LOVE an older C-130 and an older Chinook. Unfortunately, its looks like a tone of work to modify or make them from scratch.

UH-1H Revamp by Massun92

Hi Eduardo! I’ve never used OvGME, so I don’t know if it’s easy to use with the mod or not. However, if there’s something specific about the installation process that could help others test the mod, I encourage you to create a short "how-to" guide and mark it as a solution. Regarding performance, I’m sure that textures (which consume VRAM) and animations (which use GPU resources) might cause things to slow down a bit. I’m doing my best to keep the polycount low and use textures carefully to avoid performance issues. Kind regards! -
I kill my self in two oportunity firing the rockets .. so, they broken more?

Well, let me explain my point of view. I'm not good at flying any type of simulator, and I do NOT have a lot of hours flying the F4. I do NOT like AAR, and despite all of that, I'm able to do AAR in the F4. So... the airplane or the update are not the problem.
-
maybe that is the problem... you do not need to quit, just practice more. I always find funny that people try to master some really complex things like AAR in a couple of hours, when to master it, the real pilots take a LOT of flying hours.

dont problem with the link for my side. About the elements that do not appears, maybe its needed a change in the names of the entry.lua to make it load in the game. When I setup the Massun92´s "humans" I needed to change the name for that reason.- 524 replies

Video 12/09/2024 = Talking a little about the project. Hello community, I present to you the first test of the UH-1H Huey cockpit. In this particular case, it is for you to observe and help me correct proportions and general shapes. Much of the work is based on photographs, and while I try to be as precise as possible, perhaps someone with real experience with the aircraft might notice things that need correction. Don't expect anything usable, just a white structure of the larger components of the cockpit. In the file, you will find a .jpg image with the steps to follow for installation (it may break the integrity check, meaning multiplayer mode might not work). Please remember to back up your files, and I am not responsible if you need to clean up the installation after use. You can leave comments here on the forum (but please quote me so that I get notifications). Thank you very much for your time. Best regards! ###################################################################################################### Hello community! Today, I want to introduce you to a project I started a few days ago. I'd love to hear your opinions and perspectives on it. About the Project: The main idea of the project is to update our beloved but somewhat outdated UH-1H Huey. As a 3D artist, my primary focus will be on updating the module's graphical aspects with new 3D models and textures (we’ll discuss the scope of these changes and their implications later). However, I don't rule out the possibility that, with the community's help, the changes could be more comprehensive. Considering that the Huey's flight model is excellent, and its systems are quite complete, any improvements beyond aesthetics would likely involve adding new weapons or features. Images (WIP): Progress So Far: Currently, I have partially modeled the Huey's cockpit. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but so far, I think it's looking pretty good. I've attached images of the work in progress. I managed to run some tests in the simulator with the new cockpit added to the old model, and it looks quite promising. I still need to figure out how to make the file changes through the "saved games" folder to avoid breaking the Integrity Check (IC), which I currently have no idea how to do. If anyone is willing to help in this area, your contribution would be more than welcome. -- We need to replace the file located at: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Uh-1H\Cockpit\Shape" named "Cockpit_UH-1H.edm" with a new file of the same name placed in the "saved games" folder. Project Scope: Regarding the project's scope, I envision several possible options. Over the past few days, I've conducted a series of surveys to gauge the community's reaction to the project. For now, the goal is the following: A completely free mod for the community that updates the cockpit with new 3D models, textures, and animations. There would be no new functionalities. We would need to find a way to include it as a mod that doesn’t break the Integrity Check. If that’s not possible, based on the survey responses, there would be little community interest in the mod (and therefore, not much reason to continue its development). For those who have installed the mod, the helicopter will function as usual, but with a significantly enhanced level of detail in the cockpit. For the moment, both the exterior model and the interior cargo area of the helicopter would remain as they are currently. Improves on those parts would cost lots of time for a free proyect. The Reason for the Project: Essentially, I usually do things out of pure enjoyment or whim. The Huey is one of my favorite modules; it’s easy to use, fun to fly, not too complex, yet you can spend quite a bit of time mastering it. Despite this, its graphics, especially the interior, are quite outdated. Therefore, a few months ago, I started thinking about updating its textures to the PBR format. This led to multiple challenges due to the way its UVs were created, preventing the proper use of an AO pass. So, I decided to start modeling the interior in 3D from scratch. Estimated Timeframe: There’s no ETA; this is a project I’ll be working on in my spare time. Other Possible Versions: For now, I would focus on the version we currently have. I’d love to be able to choose whether to add or remove the radar altimeter and the flare dispenser at will, to make it closer to versions used in earlier periods of the Huey’s history. I’d also love to add the option for side-mounted M60s without the external hardpoints, as used by Hueys in Vietnam. If I were to develop other versions, I would be interested in a "C" version with various weapon systems used during Vietnam. I’m not a big fan of glass cockpits, so I’m not interested in modeling more modern versions of the Huey. However, these ideas are more like "dreams" rather than concrete goals, and they would largely depend on community support (since beyond 3D art, aspects that require programming are not my strong suit). Conclusion: For now, this is all. I hope the project interests you, and that together we can build this improvement. I look forward to your feedback! Best regards!

your welcome - unfortunately I dont know why they do not want the lights and the ground crew. I will improve the ground crew and add some lightning elements (not just the lights by themselves) and MAYBE they show interest on them. Who knows right?- 524 replies

Massun92´s Asset Pack - Official (update march 2024)
Massun92 replied to Massun92's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Hi Eduardo! -- You shouldnt have to face any trouble with it.. When you set an object in the .lua you specify two names. The "object" name that needs to be unique in the enterally game, and if you change it DCS will not able to put the new model in the old spot. And then you have another name, the one that use the interface. This one don`t need to be exclusive and you can change it without problems (in this case M92 vs M92_). I opened missions made with the latest mod, without the mod installed, and the objects were there. Because the "object name" did not change. But if you try to use some base created with older mods, the object name changes and for that reason everything will not appear. In the last mod I change A LOT of centers, rotations, scales, shapes, etc. If you would still be able to open an old mission with the new mod, everything would be misplaced. So, to be clear: If you were using v3.0 -- You can remove the mod and open the missions created with that version. Everything will work as usual. If you were using v2.3 -- You can keep that mod enable and you will have the opportunity to add the olds models and open the old missions with it.- 524 replies
