Buccaneer by the BANA Project

Thumbs up! -
What kind of resolution are you guys using?
-
Yes, I've done that. Wasn't a very good experience. Seems my USB connection leaves a lot to be desired. And with my 1080p monitor I'm still looking for a good setup. Best sofar is using 1600-900 with dual monitor.

Owh... darn, I have seen 2 or 3 of those video's with the DK2 and it at least gives you a little teaser of what's possible. Ah well... txs

Topic says it all. Request a YouTube video with the CV1 so we can enjoy it on our cardboard devices. I have a Homido using it with an S6. Tia!

For those with an Oculus Rift, be it DK2 or the CV1, here's another VR demo: http://goforlaunch.co.uk/index.php/downloads/ Re-live the early days of space flight in this exciting, educational and fully interactive simulator. With full VR support. Re-live the early days of space flight in Go For Launch: Mercury, the first in a series of games exploring the early days of space flight. The Alpha demo puts you in the cockpit of Mercury-Redstone 3 "Freedom 7", the first American manned space mission. Every detail of the cockpit, systems and flight have been meticulously researched to be as authentic as possible. What you experience is exactly as it was seen by astronaut Alan Shepard on the morning of May 5 1961 as he sat in his capsule atop a modified Redstone missile. Please note that this demo is an early alpha and does not include full control interaction. Future versions will include a fully interactive cockpit with every switch functioning as the original.

Was leuk! ;-) Very well done.. I must say that my fps really takes a dive in this mission.. Losing over 50% compared to a basic mission. Another argument to upgrade I guess.

They're ramping up the pe-release "hype"... Getting close now. [ame] [/ame]

LAN linked machines and multicrew, possible?
Koriel replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
Just install the free base on his computer and try. Host and user your ip to connect. If it works, great!, if not, you've tried. -
It's not lag related. On the same pc hosting a 2.01 mission in the 39C we had a very smooth experience overall. I took off in a ZA with a friend in the back and another player jumped in a new plane and in unaccelerated flight just after take off I lost my flaps completely. This whole netcode needs a lot of work. Until someone pointed out to me that the pilot needed to spwan before accepting someone else in the plane we always joined the plane before spawning and then nearly everything was porked between front and backseat. Things are improving but it seems like there should be more status confirmation packages exchanged between both pilots in a multiseat plane.

You can update to the beta as well if you want. There's a tutorial somewhere on this forum. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030

I appreciate you answering my questions and elaborating. I guess once I'm back home I'll be spending a bit more time inn the -39.

Glad to read that a lot of improvements have been made with this module wrt multi-crew operation. Can you elaborate a bit on how you set up this mission? There are 4 options when you use multicrew, ie equal responsibility or instructor, what did you use? And with the other pilot in control, could you retract the gear or flaps for instance? In previous versions things like a running engine, or gear/flaps would not sync at all. I did notice that the EGT in the back pit didn't work either. I think this module doesn't get the attention it deserves, and properly working multicrew could improve that a lot.

Sedenion and Rlaxoxo have both contributed quite a bit to the Mirage already, I think Sedenions fixes should be incorporated as were Rlaxoxo's keybindings. Both deserve their own +1's

Leatherneck Simulations New Years Eve Update

Could you clarify which month or year? -
apart from deleting that file, I also used one of the new input lua files from either Rlaxoxo or sedenion. Rlaxoxo file has a lot of useless stuff ripped out, sedenion's file is more inline with DCS default keybindings.
