I was one of your kind too... ...but then I noticed development coming from FacetrackNoIR team... ...it itched me too... new stuff like point tracker... I said, let's try it... what can I loose? Then I set it up, set the curves (been there before, so it didn't cost much time)... ...and then I picked me the Accela filter... and... dude... IT WAS ALL THE STEADINESS IN A SLOW MOVING HEAD/VIEW THAT I EVER WANTED AND JUST COULDN'T ACHIEVE WITH FREETRACK... and believe me, I was plenty happy with Freetrack, oh yes I was... :smilewink: p.s. FacetrackNoIR now has even the joystick button mappings to start/stop/center functions... now, it's complete...

FacetrackNoIR has automatic model position detection... some sort of auto-calibration while you move your head left-right with the 3-point clip turned on... I tell you - it's AWESOME!!!

Yup... this became a problem when going from A-10C to DCS World... the install just wouldn't fit in a RAM disk to leave enough memory to fly on a 16GB machine... Could you please write final a list of all you removed? Cause we luuuuv fast loading DCS, right? :D

There is 3 (or more) different headtracker.dll files arround... will try their respective behaviour with the Huey and post the results here... This headtracker.dll thing where it takes over mouse movement even while disengaged has to be solved, somehow... dammit... :cry:

Use FacetrackNoIR with PointTracker plugin and Accela filter... it works amazing and is supported and under constant development unlike Freetrack... FacetrackNoIR Homepage :thumbup:

The UH-1H is bought and installed... ...and what a great experience it is... minigun galore and FFAR heaven, all one can wish for... Not to mention the supercool NOE flying and helicopter energy management fun... This thing simply kicks ass!!! :thumbup:

After an almost sucessful sortie on Dragon's Bunny Escort... ...while I was hapilly RTB-ing, something bit my Hawgs engines... yes, a mosqito bite but right on the engines... grrr... Had to glide it in on Gudauta, while still a hot zone... Thank you Golo for bringing me home... :thumbup:

It was a "feature" of 6950/6970 series apparently with any driver after 11.6... u have one of those maybe?

Just set it all up on an old Mac G4 Quicksilver... ...set up a USB joystick emulating mouse control through Overdrive... :thumbup: Boy oh boy, this sim simply kicks ass, fast paced vector graphics and incredibly dynamic missions and views... Mavs guidance was gone... And yes, thats exactly what I wanted to do... drop my JDAMs on the HUD SPI... :joystick:

About beating a dead horse... ...I have this evil thought, that there is this same guy who does the explosions work, and he is there from Lockon times and he's a too good friend of the ED management to get fired... :music_whistling: Life taught me to just imagine the worst case scenario and it happens to be true, most of the times... :D I love to call him "the bitmap smoke guy"...

Anyone done CDU and MFDs? :D

My intensions were a little berserkish, if you know what I mean... The thing is, we just cleaned the target area of deadly threats, got hit by the lastest of the last evil deeds... Wanted to gain altitude and send em my two GBU-38s gift-wrapped and maybe spray some DU love, but couldn't due to 4 Mavs clinging dead-useless from my pylons... So, no selective jettisoning without functional MFDs, just the CTRL+W option eh? Damn... :inv:

Is it possible? Cause, last night I got hit bad... 4 Mavericks left on pylons but no guidance system and 2 GBU-38s who's love I could still spread... And I wanted to jettison the Mavs, but with no MFDs alive in my cockpit... I just couldn't... The load was to heavy and it simply drag me down in some hills... :cry: So, is there a key combo or something to jettison the active selected weapon in a Hawg?

Only if your center viewport uses the entire resolution of your monitors and the exports are exported over the ingame rendering... Else, it's screwed up... :smartass:
