  2. The key is watch your speed. Max sustained turn rate in our Hornet is maintained at 300-350knots. If you're faster, then load bird and\or get out of burners. If you're too slow, then unload and fire your cans. Keep visual on target. I prefer two circle fight on Hornet to get on his six. The Hornet is very capable bird when slow and if you're inside the bandit's circle you can actually steer your nose by rudder and elevator to take a fire solution.
  3. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select SA format 2. Select EXP mode 3. Push STEP button. Expected behavior: step through the non-friendly trackfiles. Actual behavior: doesn't work. Remark: STEP correctly works in non-expanded mode.
  4. 1. JDAMs undershoot when released above FL200 in MAN mode. 2. Fuel reservoirs' damage model looks incorrect. The reservoir withstands of the GBU-31V1 impact in vicinity of 15 meters. Track is attached. 20210210-01.trk Remark: the track shows both issues. No 1 is displayed using GBU-31V3 (first delivery), no 2 is by GBU-31V1 (second delivery).
  5. The raw point is never ever plan to engage a frigate by a single attack aircraft of any type. Plan your mission by assigning different tasks to the packages. One package will be SEAD, other will be strikers, thrird will be CAP and so on. The strike package would probably consist of two flights, 4 jets each. Each unit will be armed with 2 AGM-84 for pri target. Check if this works.
  6. I'd say that auto start is just to speed up the aircraft get ready to fly (tried it only once to check this func). So it's not actually a cheat (you can get hot plane as well) The coming mission cartridge aims the same purpose (to get plane ready to fly and engage real quick). Auto AAR is like the pilot relief funcs, but is definitely a cheat. No objections but I'd like to get some new features and bug fixes instead.
  7. My usual strike route (DCS): 0 - Launch posit 1 - Holding 2 - Ingress .... 10 - Fence in .... 20 - IP .... 30 - TGT .... 40 - Egress / Fence out .... 50 - Tankering .... 59 - Estimated recovery posit Number of wps is for demo purposes only.
  8. Completely agree. It's a solid ground to excel in AAR. Best practice is to ask your flight lead to make a number of basic maneuvres like a straight flight, steady turns and so on. Fly in parade formation with your lead for as long as possible.
  9. Hello, It's really very challenging routine for real life pilots as well. But it's just a formation flying with tanker. Well, when you fly mission, anyway, you fly a part of route in parade formation, aren't you? Continue practicing and don't give up. One day you'll make it. Do your sorties with five tanker rejoins each. Each rejoin should take no longer than ten mins. Take your time, don't haste. If you feel frustration then take a break, pull out from tanker and get some rest. Don't focus on basket, keep your eyes on the tanker itself. Try to maintain your position relative to the tanker stabilizer or tail, maybe wingtip or engine housing. Your first goal is just fly alongside with the tanker. Do it for five mins stable. Next goal, try to get close and connect to the basket. Then you can try to increase the time you stay connected. Good luck and fly safe!

    Travel pod

Please add travel pod to available "ammo". Actually it's standard fuel tank with bay access door (or special pod like MXU-648 we have for Viper). Of course, there is no fuel. Plus, it'd be nice to be able to specify the amount of fuel preloaded to external fuel tanks (each).
  11. Agree. The confusion arose because of different information in the update notes (stated A/B option) and the mission editor payload section (option is not specified at all). And as @Bunny Clarkadvised that the ammo looks like x/B option. Most likely it's actually A/B with BLU-109. Thanks mates.
  12. What GBU-24 warhead option is available now? I suppose that is GP Mk.84. Is it correct?
  13. Annex. A/G radar format lacks of support of active cursor zones for range tuning and functions enabling/disabling (right margin of display area).
  14. Lasing activates immediately after weapon release. At the same time HUD displays "laser" timing starting from 120secs. The lasing turns off and LTD/R switch resets to "OFF" position after countdown reaches zero (long after actual impact to target takes place). Track attached. 20210130-03.trk
  15. It is correct behavior. The countermeasures can be dispensed regardless the master switch.
  16. It'd be nice to obtain this feature at least when the module leaves the early-access state.
  17. Test environment: 3 targets F/A-18C cold aspect same level 25, 50, 75 nm ahead A/A radar is in RWS mode Cannot lock any target except closest (25 nm) When locked on this target and selected 140deg/6bars, the radar lost the lock between sweeps on the target Track attached 20210130-02.trk
  18. And to stow and deploy the ladder. Just to remind -
  19. After the last update the radar performance has been significantly degraded. Cannot get contact at around 40 nm hot aspect on 140deg sweep with any bar settings in RWS/TWS mode. Cannot get contact at 10 nm cold aspect at 60-80-140deg sweep in RWS/TWS mode. Cannot get contact at less 10nm cold aspect in boresight mode. Track is attached. 20210130-01.trk
  20. Same issue. 1. Steps to reproduce: RWS -> TWS -> TWS Auto Radar elevation control is no longer operable, it is ok since we're in auto mode. 2. Switch to TWS MAN. Radar elevation can now be operable again. 3. Switch to RWS. Radar elevation control is lost again. 4. Back to TWS. Same. Note, that Auto mode is enabled again. 5. Repeat step 2 and so on.
