  1. Do you have, or do you know of any close-up, public picture of R-27EA missile? If there was even one airplane in USSR or Russia with R-27EA capability, we should have it in FC. Because FC does not simulate economical aspect of the military aviation. BTW, Excellent point about Su-27SK.
  2. What is a definition of "better"? Alamo is bigger, faster, has a larger explosive warhead (39Kg, 85lbs) and has a greater range then Slammer. Adder is smaller but more maneuverable then either Slammer or Alamo. The fact is RAF now has a good choice of missiles depending on the type of the target. Reminder: SAM = Stealth STOP!
  3. All ingredients for the R-27AE existed and still exist. The K-27 project was visionary and very successful where the basic missile is the same and seekers are interchangeable. If you fight low tech opponent, you use less expensive SARH seeker. Against advanced opponent put 9B-1103 (and later more advanced 9B-1103M) seeker and you have ARH. BTW R-27 series missiles are faster and has longer range then competition missiles (other then Meteor). And have a pair of R-27ET's for silent kills ... R-27EA was put aside due to the second generation MRAAM that was introduced sometime in the nineties. The R-77 was a missile specifically designed for the M series aircraft as well as for 5th generation fighters with the requirement for missiles to be carried internally.
  4. Check this thread out. :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=19815
  5. Incredibly cool looking UFC!!!
  6. There is a $30 rebate at Newegg for G930. I've just placed an order. Rebate is good until 4/25 only.
  7. Good that he is safe and back home!
  8. I don't find it funny ridiculing people who, within their knowledge and skills, were braking the limits of space exploration.
  9. Check resolution 1973. Specially, article 4.
  10. +1 After all, this whole series started as Flanker ...
  11. Good point. Well, do we have reliable info on which engines are in J-20?
  12. Well, larger engine RVV-AE (R-77) is out, and range is probably again in favor of R-77.You appear to agree with that. I will speculate and say that there is also a new guidance software in these new RVV-AE so that they can also fly high and get even larger range. After all, RVV-AE has been aground for 20 + years and I am sure there are software/hardware improvements that are implemented in current production. So, if you have money, you can buy RVV-AE. If there is a need Russia will buy it. Which version of RVV-AE is going on a new Su-35 and Su-34 fleet? This is just a negative spin on problems that every project and product goes through. First of all, there was no need to produce large numbers of RVV-AE. Then, when it comes to problems, for example, we all see that F-35 is plagued with problems, yet we all know it will be produced in needed numbers as the time goes on. Same with RVV-AE. Reminder: SAM = Stealth STOP!
  13. There is new RVV-AE out. It has larger engine. Says who? What do you know about Vympel production capability? Reminder: SAM = Stealth STOP!
  14. G-2 Galeb was not in the air when it was destroyed. It was on the ground.
  15. Click on a picture for a larger photo.
  16. Hi Zombie, =4c= squad have done exactly what you are describing. It was called Nuclues. It was a dynamic campaign where the next mission depended on results from the previous mission. A man who manually created each mission is a fighter pilot. Author of several books about civil and military aviation. Missions were designed to put the FC to limits due to inclusion of AI air, ground and sea units.
  17.
  18. Here's what was, and some of that still is in my RC hangar:
  19. Yeah, Portuguese F-16's as well ... ;)
  20. Honor or embarrassment that missiles could not hit. Reminder: SAM = Stealth STOP!
  21. In my opinion, Russian scientific work and core research is not that far behind. Implementation and production of the latest technologies lags indeed. The reason is, that Russia does not need to spend trillions of dollars on something that it does not need. Also, Russian military hardware customers do not have money to pay for latest and grates. Israeli, (nor USA, nor Saudi nor Japan) F-15 never engaged anything in its class and it does not speak volumes about technology.
  22. I did not see a picture of open parachute. Also, it looks like to me that pilot ejected at very low altitude.
  23. Very nice! Keep doing a good job!!!
