  1. Same problem here except that my error code is 504 which indicates a gateway timeout.
  2. Someone on Reddit says this pot works: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/774-251B12T104A2NB. I just ordered it and will report back if it works for me.
  3. The point of aim and point of impact for the rockets in L version are different. The rockets seem to impact a spot above and to the left of the aiming reticle (i.e., the 10-11 o'clock position relative to the POI). It's not by much but its enough to cause me to miss my targets. Is anyone else experiencing the same phenomena? p.s. sorry for the grammatical error in the title.
  4. Same problem here. I just make sure I'm buckled in before lifting off.
  5. Door gunners are affected. Also confirmed by another in an earlier post.
  6. This happened to me yesterday on the ECW server with some degree of hilarity. 1) I accidentally fired at a fellow Huey in a co-altitude merge after misidentifying the Huey. I turned around to pursue the Huey and then realized it was a team mate. Unfortunately, the guns wouldn't stop firing and the huey pilot screamed out that he was a friendly. I had to tell my gun trigger was stuck; 2) I saw a huey tracers (but not the huey) miles away from me with the same problem as he engaged another RC/FW. I couldn't see the Huey but I could see his red string of tracers shooting all over the place nonstop. It was like drunk man losing his balance while peeing and not being able to stop. It was spraying all over the place and was clearly attracting the attention of the enemy aircraft in the area even though they probably could not see the Huey as well; and 3) my right minigun was stuck and firing non stop. I hit the trigger and the right gun stopped but the left gun got stuck on firing. I hit the firing trigger again and the left gun stopped but the right one started again. This kept on repeating until I ran out of ammo. If you are playing on a PvP server and this happens and you can't get your guns unstuck, quickly descend to the ground (if you are able to) below tree level and stay there until you get your guns to stop or you run out of ammo to avoid nosey neighbors.
  7. I have experienced intermittent problems with my my pipper and fishnet in my HUD during fight. For reasons which escapes me, both of these things shut off ocassionally. When this happens, my airspeed indicator and altimeter also stopped working. After a few minutes it goes back on again only to shut off once more after a minute or two. This cycle seems to repeat itself every so many minutes. Are these intermittent problems caused by a frozen pitot tube and will turning on the pitot tube heat solve the problem? I don 't think its a bug. I think it's because of my set-up.
  8. Start off by hitting "B" for battery. It will illuminate the cockpit.
  9. Hi, just wondering if you saw my pics/measurements for the pot on the TWCS throttle which I posted a few weeks ago. You mentioned something about not having the proper dimensions to make a suitable replacement so I took some pictures and measurements and posted them to the thread.

  10. The gazelle in the Rotorheads server, a server dedicated to helos, is used as a scout to spot, identify and mark targets with smoke for fixed wing and other rotorcrafts to dispatch. There's probably quite a bit of scripting to support that function but its the only way I know of to detect these annoying manpads that cannot be visually spotted with the naked eye. I would imagine that it's possible to pair a scout gazelle with a Ka 50 or any other rotorcraft to work as a team to clear paths for ingress and egress into and out of hot zones. 11. It's not working for me. Last night while flying in a MP server, I got tone on every target but the missles did not track. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  12. You will need the two free weeks to learn each helicopter. Dont make the mistake of downloading all of them at once. Download one, learn to fly it for two weeks and then download the next. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  13. I experienced a problem similar to what is described here during a MP game play last night. I asked Jester to STT lock the enemy ahead. After Jester locks up the bandit, he says "that's a friendly". I then break the lock and turn away to evade an incoming missile from the bandit. After successfully dodging the missile, I turn to ree engage the bandit by asking Jester to lock up the enemy ahead. Jester locks up the same bandit and then says "that's a friendly." I break the lock again and attempt to notch a second missile fired by the bandit only to get shot down.
  14. I've experience loss of right rudder authority on several occasions whenever i crest the peak of a mountain at several thousands of feet above sea level. The Mi-8 will slowly spin to the left for 30 - 45 seconds even though I have applied full right rudder pedal to counter act the spin. Is the loss of rudder authority at altitudes the result of an updraft at the peak of a mountain ridge or something else?
  15. This. I watched a pair of mi-24s directed by a gci make numerous sequential passes over ground forces embedded in a forest. The Hinds followed close behind each other and turned them all into scrap metal. It was enjoyable to watch as I circled in my mi-8. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  16. You should see a countdown if hovering recovery is implemented. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks for all of the replies. Ok, so it sounds like you do need a "forward observer" in MP or an allied unit (air or ground) in proximity to the target. This can be tricky in some instances if you don't have another player and are forced to place another ground unit nearby since enemy ground units often shoot at targets within visual range. 18. CA newbie here. Is there a simpler way of spotting where artillary rounds land in a MP server instead of using the LCntrl-f11 function? I've seen several CA YouTube vids where the youtuber seems to jump straight to a fixed location where the rounds land but I can't tell if that's just post video editing or the YouTuber using a snap view function or something similar. In one video, the youtuber referenced the use of a forward observer to help spot where the rounds land and even showed a dude stand within a few hundred yards from the target. Is there such a role or function in DCS? If not, is there a simple way to spot the target after firing a round so that you can make adjustments to aiming your ground unit? 19. I'm having difficulty in holding altitude when the altitude/cyclic hold is activated. A short while after being engaged, the Mi-8 will decrease and or increase in altitude in a cyclical manner. If I'm near the ground when the AP is engaged, it often leads to catastrophic results if I'm not paying close enough attention to grab ahold of the controls to regain altitude. This happens when all three AP buttons are activated. Am I doing something wrong or is that how it works and constant monitoring is always required?
  20. One of these days, I'll get around to posting a long-ass video on youtube of my ejected pilot walking across the Caucasus back to base.

  22. This problem still persists (at least on the HOGGIT GAW server) as of the date of this post.
  23. What happens if you drive him back to base?
