1. SRS (Simple Radio Standalone). It will launch on the right channel when the mission launches. You then need to tune the aircraft frequency to 124 (Red Side) or 251 (Blue Side). In aircraft with presets just ask in chat (eg Channel 0 in Mig-21, Channel 2 in Mig-19, Channel 1 in Viggen). It seems complicated the first time but soon becomes second nature. 2. The server runs one mission at a time. When one side wins or the timer runs out (typically 5 hours) then next mission loads automatically in a pre-defined rota. You just join whatever is running. 3. Read the brief (esp. look at the briefing images). You can also access these in flight using ALT B. Also use the F10 map and look for markers (orange circles). We are here to help and welcome you. Any questions, please ask. (Sorry Alpen ... didn't see you'd already answered!)

I haven't tried with Pet but there's definitely a time of day when it's already bright where infantry and vehicles without night optics don't fire. Then a few minutes later the game deems it day and they can shoot.

OK, I've never heard of boresighting Mav's. How do you do that please? -
When I'm flying and the HUD is SOI I sometimes want to hand off a point using the HUD designator. For example I see a SAM launch and want to quickly mark that point and slew my TGP over there. However it is often not in the HUD but miles behind. How can I recage it to the flight path marker please so it is in my forward view? Thanks for any help!

I have the same problem (works in single, not in multi) but as far as I can see the handoff is misaligned enough that the AGM doesn't see the target. Could it be because we are doing a quick stored heading alignment on cold start (rather than a full quality align) and therefore not getting an exact location match? Basically, when I point the TGP and hand off, the AGM is looking very close but not AT the actual target. -
I never fly from the front (haven't even bound the keys) because I don't like Pet doing the flying but if you sit in the pilot's seat Pet can fire the missiles well enough. And the pilot does cannon and rockets.

CBU105 (tested with F-16) doesn't see Static Aircraft as targets. I dropped 4x CBU105 on 2 Sams (worked fine), 1 EWR (worked fine) and a park of static IL-76 but it doesn't see these as live targets and just shows the generic cluster bomb explosion (the skeets don't track). I think the engines of the IL-76 are dense enough to act as targets for the skeets.

Thank you, this is all great.

Recently I had a look at some of the Tacviews of recent CW missions and it's amazing what I find out. So often things happened that I had no idea about. In the recent night mission where I thought I was either shot down or clashed my own blades in the KA-50, it transpired that I'd crashed into a Gazelle in the dark. We both died. In another mission I flew into my own falling bombs (Viggen). The enemy never fired. In the same mission I thought I'd been shot down by a pursuing Mig-21. Actually I was hit by a SA-13 I never even noticed. Going to start looking at my Tacviews more often! A few of us had very odd experiences in that mission. In my case I was in a position to compare because my game crashed and when I rejoined everything looked COMPLETELY different. I'm not technical enough to understand it but basically if the ground looked very dark, that wasn't what everyone else was seeing.

My favourite weapon, the CBU-97, used to get good kills, whether in CCIP or CCRP. Now it overflies the target every time in both modes. I have used the weapon a lot before so I'm sure this is a new problem since the last patch. I have the same with the WCMD variant (CBU-105) so I don't think it's the wind but I'm new to that weapon so it might be user error with the 105..

Have done more testing using all available Target Search commands - Jester doesn't see static aircraft at all.
-
Yes there seems to be a range requirement for all the options. It does work. Switch to AG mode at any point and he'll start the warm up. You can switch away a second later but the process will have started.

Jester seems unable to target static aircraft. Vehicles like tanks etc work fine but the Target All Aircraft command has him just search aimlessly even when he clearly has big a/c like the A-50 in view. Also QDES seems erratic.
