  1. People have been happily playing with the VEAO Hawk for some time now don't forget. Once the pen pushers pull their fingers out, we will be too...
  2. I backed... I'm not even going to complain, we should have known really. I trust ED much more tbh and feel sorry for them having this dumped onto them. Is it possible now to just make this part of DCS World rather than a separate program? I still hate the Idea of splitting up DCS World.
  3. Yeah, this is true. I'm sure we will get there, slowly.
  4. Yeah, but getting close should please the majority of people. Sound is just as important as visuals etc when it comes to creating an immersive experience.
  5. I think we all knew the answer to this one really but it is a shame non the less. Why is realistic sound so hard to achieve with all of our advancements?
  6. This is why more in depth and engaging training missions would be nice, I imagine 90% of people simply don't know how to properly use such equipment.
  7. I don't mind them for now, but I do agree if a lot more stuff is released it would be nice to have the option to remove them. I think most of us will own the majority of them but things like combined arms can vanish and I'd be happy.
  8. Awesome, I'll see what I can do!
  9. Looks like you all had fun, I wish I could have made the drive down to say hello and have a play. I might actually get some time off of work for the next one, maybe you'll even have some Typhoon to show by then.
  10. D-Day painted Typhoon makes quite a sight in formation with the Spitfire! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2635326/A-21st-century-tribute-D-Day-RAF-Typhoon-jet-painted-historic-invasion-livery-joined-air-Spitfire-markings.html
  11. De Havilland Mosquito... sheer awesomeness, hope we see an accurate module one day.
  12. I'm sorry, but I couldn't agree less with anything you have just said. You cant see most of the aircraft you are in when you are flying it, does that mean ED waisted their time modelling it all? Just because you won't necessarily see such effects all of the time is no reason not to include them. Physical effects will add to the immersion no end imo and are a must for DCS world to secure its place as the best military sim on the market. They will also work wonders for videos and advertisements which will draw in even more customers.
  13. Unplayable is a bit harsh, although I have noticed some stutters and lag etc which has never really been a problem for me since the explosion stutters were fixed. Windows 7 64.
  14. F-86A Duxford display...
  15. If you're on fire after landing... you have the new one. :music_whistling:
  16. I don't think one of these exists yet and I figured it would be nice to have a place where we can post and link any and all awesome videos for this incredible machine. Reality or simulation, it's all good. I'll start us off with this great video, the guy at 10:13 is clearly having a blast!!
  17. Oh aren't we all, great pictures also!!
  18. Some great low flying footage in this one! :pilotfly:
  19. Lethal weapon ;)
  20. I'm not sure this is correct, games of the past have had less of a problem with this. I'm sure something could be done with our current tech, even if it is just a bright reflective dot in daylight... anything would help really.
  21. I have an Asus VG278HE, it is 27" 1920x1080 and 144hz, even with all settings on max I have a torrid time trying to spot things in DCS world so you are not alone. I am very much looking forward to 4k, or even 8k and the required hardware becoming affordable as that should make quite a bit of difference. Until then it will be a struggle.
  22. Then it was a nice bit of optimism while it lasted...
