  1. QV/foveated rendering is suppose to lighten the load by reducing the number of total pixels that need to be rendered.... the goal is to get more FPS ... totally bonkers that it would result in an FPS drop as there would be no use to it at all...
  2. When u ask for help, do remember to state what hardware you are using. The solution always depends on which hardware you are using
  3. Not that I'm aware but would love to be told I'm wrong!
  4. So it's fine but you need to turn it off because otherwise it doesn't work??? You cannot use VR on a motion platform without motion compensation. Doesn't make sense
  5. Honestly I do not see it not being compatible. The motion compensation is agnostic about the rig and will work with both openvr and openxr headsets which Oculus is also compatible with so you should definitely be covered.
  6. AFAIK Next Level racing motion gear is from motion Systems which does the Qubic range. Motion Systems have their proprietary software to run their platforms and motion compensation. Would make no sense to make 2 pieces of software as these are generic, only the motion profiles are specific to the rig. These would be my assumptions but do get confirmation from NLR about it.
  7. Next level uses motionsystem hardware I believe and their software is compatible with oculus. See there https://qubicsystem.com/download/ or there https://motionsystems.eu Don't think the VR compensation care about the headset anyway, provided it can get the tracking info somewhere
  8. Thks @draconus that fixed it. There was an autoexec.cfg in my DCS folder and it had the "disable_write_track = true" in it...deleted it and FIXED! Thks a bunch
  9. Are you running with OpenVR or OpenXR? if OpenXR make sure you replaced the openvr_api.dll file in DCS/bin with the one from opencomposite. If OpenVR make sure u have openVR enabled in VarjoBase
  10. Alright so I am the only one unable to save track files?
  11. Recently tried to save a track file and I was greeted with an error : Cannot read LastMission.trk file ... Would anyone knows about this issue?
  12. I solved it on mine… indeed the usb cable seating is flimsy
  13. u have any screenshot?
  14. I am not experiencing this. Although the cockpit glass can generate effects like that... do you have the same when looking right through the door? Disclaimer... I do not have the same Headset as you and it could be headset related. Check gamma setting too
  15. I bought the prime but have not built it yet The main things is that the software / hardware connection to the pc/simulation setup is very diy/geeky. It is not a plug and play system But the platform is top notch
  16. Yes Aero uses steamvr for the tracking/base station No you do not need to play the game via steamVR/OpenVR and can use OpenXR
  17. Got the same disconnect issues with my Orion2 + F15EX throttle ... I dread going through their appalling customer support...
  18. happening to me a lot lately... the Aero restarts if I put it aside or start it aside and put it on. not always but very often
  19. This can be due to dcs’ poor cpu core management and allocation. Try Process lasso and for dcs.exe set core affinity to only the p-cores (exclude e-cores).
  20. Aero is discontinued...
  21. U have time still. We don't even know yet if vendors will have an alternative or if WMR will still work if installed separately etc... I would not rush unless you were just looking for an excuse to upgrade
  22. What announcement?
  23. I have experimented with process lasso and found something that seems to work. went to I/O priorities and matched DCS with low priority. Seems to force DCS to not assign I/O E-cores. Relaunched DCS fter a reboot a couple times and I have not experienced the spikes and the log show no I/O cores assigned. Not sure if this is affecting anything else though as I do not really know what I'm doing here Anyway, worth a try!
