  1. Slow bombers? AN-2's maybe. That's what I use as target practice. :)
  2. My best landing and roll out yet. 2wFgV0qPAsU
  3. I was wondering about low level strafes and ricocheting bullets, can you get pranged by your own guns?
  4. Wow, very nice vid. You must have a monster system, smooth as glass. Still working on consistently "sticking it", it sort of reminds me of learning to water ski, too far forward or back and it's over.
  5. I created a refueling mission with multiple AI flights and didn't space the flights of F-15E's far enough behind the tanker and didn't adjust their speed. I was on the boom as they zoomed past the tanker then one came around and attempted to refuel while I was still on the boom. I heard him coming, but thought that he was going to form up, but no, he came right up on my six that that was it.
  6. Oh, come on, I can't imagine even an initial beta released without rudders or brakes configuration. ?
  7. Very helpful, thanks. I'm becoming a little more consistent now, but still very challenging for me.
  8. Unfortunately I couldn't play your track due to the transfer bug. Your plane veers off to the right on take off and eats it. Oh well.
  9. Minor thing but will differential braking be implemented in FC3?
  10. As long as it implements differential braking rather than the single W key. :D Nah, I'll buy it for the Carrier ops and fast movers. .
  11. I guess people keep forgetting that the A-10 is not a F-16 and the fuselage wasn't designed for aerobraking. ;)
  12. Thanks for posting that track, Weta43. It seems like it's more "feel" than numbers, There's a definite "Sweet Spot". I'm just beginning to find it. I also figured out that the Airspeed Indicator shows MPH and the F2 view shows Knots and that accounted for the difference in the values. For example 130 MPH = 113 kts.
  13. This one's an improvement over my first try, slight bounce but I didn't balloon this time. ud-rzsaDxWM I think turning off the 4 m/s headwind helped this time and I think I was landing slow before. With wind off , the F2 view still shows I'm on the slow side at 110 at TD, while my AS indicator shows 130 at TD, not sure what the discrepancy is about. I'll have to test it further.
  14. Interesting, the manual suggests that 3 point landings are the norm and wheel landings are used only in adverse weather. It doesn't even go into any detail about wheel landings. It sounds like they are more for Airshows than SOP. Unfortunately the manual wasn't very helpful in that regard. On the other hand, the landing errors section is very helpful and the cause and effect of bouncing and ballooning describes my wheel landings accurately.
  15. I'd love to see dual seat AC and Helos, and it will be interesting to see how multiple seat functionality is dealt with in Single player. Partial AI control?
  16. Now that's what I'm talking about. You make it look so easy. :) I think with practice I can dial it in but would you be able to post a track at some point? I'd like to see what's going on in the cockpit.
  17. Ok, this is one of my better attempts at a wheels landing, I've named it Bronco Billy, lol. Still got a long way to go. 8qaXR5ucrQ0
  18. Nice landing Air Wolf. I'm trying to do something different though, a wheel landing where I'm cruising down the runway on the mains keeping the tail up as long as possible. It's a real knife edge, too much forward stick and I prang the prop and not enough forward pressure will cause me to float and I usually end up in a 3 pointer. It's definitely a challenge for me.
  19. I've got the 3 point landing down to a passable level but I'm looking for procedures to land on the main gears and slowly drop the tail.. Flap settings, attitude, sink rate, speed reduction, and trim. I've bounced (porpoised) on almost every attempt and it rarely ends well for the AC. Any help would be appreciated.
  20. H RShift Toggle goggles H Rshift RCtrl gain increase H RShift RAlt Gain decrease
  21. When I flew Flanker and FC2, I used all Russian symbology, it didn't take long to learn, sort of like learning a new avionics / weapons system. The hardest part was converting to metric, lol, but it was all relative once you got the numbers down.
  22. I had an interesting experience with a P-51 stafing mission I created with a single trigger zone to launch a pair of Cobras to finish up the tanks. I ejected at the end of the mission on the airport tarmac and every single object on the airport blew up. Not just the one's I added but all objects, static airport vehicles, helo's ,Buses, IL-76, and even the ammo bunkers. I'll see if I can recreate it and post a track. I know I didn't intentionally add a "Destroy all objects" trigger, but it was a nice fireworks show.
  23. Normally the toe brakes would have a separate axis, I know CH Pedals do, is that not the case with Saitek pedals?
  24. Yeah I guess, it kinda detracts from a virtual cockpit but no biggie. I guess the rw pilots have to do some weird gymnastics to view the gauges.
  25. It's also sort of "gamey" (unrealistic) to go into a SAM infested area without dedicated SEAD flights.
