JAS-39C by Whisky Actual using JF-17 avionics

Sounds like an F-16 sort of thing, the Viper can carry AIM-120s on the wingtips. Not sure about Meteor on the Gripen wingtips though, can't find a photo of it IRL and weight may be a consideration there.- 68 replies

Out of sheer curiosity, how hard would it be to remove the conflict with the Gripen mod? They are both fantastic and it would be great to have them in sim at the same time, but I can understand where that may not be possible.

FA-XX Next Generation Strike Fighter NGAD
Spino replied to Hawkeye60's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
I've been working on this in conjunction with Hawkeye off and on. I have a cockpit that I have been trying to implement, that will be much better than the F-15 cockpit. Unfortunately I've been having some issues getting it to work, so I'll have to do some more digging to see what's up with that. -

Any chance of separating it from the JF-17 such that it doesn't replace it? I know CJS has done this with their Super Hornet mod, it used to replace the F/A-18C but now it does not. Not sure if that's possible with the Jeff though.- 68 replies

I absolutely can. Honestly it shouldn't take that much work, since I should be able to add as many pylons as it needs. The only issue would be with the CFT pylons, since for those I would need to do exclusions to prevent installation of weapons that clip into each other. That is also doable, it would just take more time.
-
Nice!
-
It should be. The old F-15E has a pylon coded for every single attachment point on the aircraft, something like 28 total. An AI rework of my F-15EX should be relatively easy to do.
-
This is an extremely basic and early implementation, but I haven't posted an update on the cockpit in a while, so here it is:
-
I can look into re-working the CFTs to open up the centerline and maybe even add the option for things like the Legion pod on one of the F-15E targeting pod stations. The catch is that CFT weapons mounting will get more restricted (maximum of one AGM-158 on each side instead of two for example), since I will have to take the pylons from two of the four CFT stations and re-use them for the centerline and pod stations. I have 11 stations to work with using the F-15C avionics, and the only way I can "add" more is to take the existing ones and reposition them, and make up the difference with custom loadouts. This won't be easy though, I'll have to investigate if it's even doable. It took forever to get the outer wing stations right using this method. There won't be a ground attack version until after the custom cockpit is finished, if there ever is one at all. In theory it wouldn't be that hard to do, I just am not sure if I'd want to mess with it given the primary focus of the F-15EX is air to air. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
-
Which ground units is it conflicting with? I have quite a few of them installed and it doesn't mess with them at all.
-
I was about to say, it was probably a mod conflict.
-
That's interesting, I'm not sure what to say about that. I'll look into it, but for me it works fine.
-
I think I get the message
-
I'm going to take a poll here. How would you guys like my F-15 mods configured? Choose from one of the three options below and let me know! 1. Keep them all separate, that way we get only the F-15 variant that we want. 2. Throw them all in together, F-15C GE, F-15EX, and F-15CX! 3. Keep the CX separate since it's a fictional mod, but put the C GE and EX together.

Download link fixed. The mod has been uploaded to the User Files since Dropbox isn't working.
-
It has been working off and on for me. I'll try uploading it to the DCS User Files later today, but it will take time for it to get approved.

Version 1.7 released! Download link below and in the video description. F-15EX V1.7 Download Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3332944/

Beta test feedback is in and looking good. I've made some minor adjustments and am nearly ready to release!
-
Those will actually be included with the ANG Livery Pack, along with the 194th FS! I have also fixed all potential conflicts with the F-15C Golden Eagle mod, so you can have both of them installed and working at the same time!
-
I've got a big announcement to make! We have new liveries for the F-15EX, by Vasy! I plan to include three of them in the mod itself, the rest will be available as a separate download in a livery pack! We have the F-15EX Production Line Green, and the two F-15EX prototype liveries 001 and 002!

You must own the F-15C module at a minimum, or FC3. It won't be flyable without one of those two.
-
The F-15EX is still in final testing, so I won't be able to release it today. Hopefully I can polish it up within one more week and have it ready for you guys.
-
I could add JDAMs to it, but they would only be usable by AI. Player aircraft would not be able to use them due to limitations with the F-15C avionics that I'm working with.
