  1. Hi all! I noticed a discrepancy between the weight displayed in the Rearm&Refuel window and the one displayed in the Checklist page... Here is an example: AIM-9X / AGM-84H / AGM-65E / AIM-120C / * / ATFLIR / AGM-65E / AGM-84H / AIM9X Rearm&Refuel: 41883lbs Checklist page: 37273lbs I use the checklist page to assess my weight for trim setting on the carrier and before landing to see I'm within weight parameters. Something I am missing? Which one is the true weight? Which one affects FM within the sim?
  2. Bumping this post up again. I just got an EGIW while landing but I am sure I did not and put throttle to MIL the moment I touched down. Something still not right yet...
  3. Hi there! One thing I would like to point out: the BLEED AIR KNOB 360° CYCLE is only necessary if you perform the fire test. If you skip it, the L(R) BLD OFF caution which would require a BLEED AIR KNOB cycle automatically disappears in the left DDI as soon as the engine is running. If you start the engine with the gound electrical power on and have both the DDIs on before engine start, it is even more evident. I though I would tell you since you might want to save space at least in the quick startup procedure.

    Land IFLOLS

Hi all! It would be great if, as part of the SC package, an IFLOLS cart was made available in the mission editor for placement at the side of a runway to recreate land based carrier training. I don't know how difficult it is but I guess that since the model is there, it wouldn't be too much of a problem to add a chassis and four wheels.
  5. Hi all! In the upcoming OFFSET feature, will it be possible to set an offset off a TACAN or waypoint only? Thank you!
  6. Hi all! I was wondering what you use the neutral faction for. As it is now, it seems NEUTER more than NEUTRAL to me since it does not even return fire if attacked. I even set RED and WEAPONS FREE status without success... Ideas are welcome!
  7. Thank you! Will try that!
  8. Thank you BigNewy! Always on the spot!
  9. Hi all! Running some tests on emergencies and I would like to know if the effect of the APU ACCUM caution is not modelled or its functionality was lost on the way. On Ground: 1) BATTERY ON 2) APU ON - After the operation of the APU switch the APU ACCUM on both panel and left DDI comes on (and that is fine, IMO); the point is that the even though the caution, the APU can be switched ON/OFF multiple times as if accumulator energy were still available 3) RIGHT ENGINE ON - The APU ACCUM caution turns OFF (and that is fine, IMO) In the air: 1) Right engine OFF 2) APU ON - Again, caution ON but the APU can be turned ON/OFF several times 3) RIGHT ENGINE ON 4) HYD ORIDE - After a few seconds, the APU ACCUM caution turns OFF (and that is fine, IMO) Was the APU ACCUM effect (limited starting of the APU) supposed to be modelled or not? Thank you!
  10. Of course, no engine was ON because I wanted to deplete the APU Accumulator. I'll try in flight...
  11. I'll bring up this topic again since I'm running some tests on warnings and emergencies... After how many APU restarts will the APU not start when the APU ACC warning is on? On ground, I stopped at ten and it still could be started. Are APU ACC effects modelled or not?...
  12. When using the rules, the possibility to switch between TRUE and MAGNETIC bearing.
  13. Hi all! Apologies if this has been reported before but setting the altimeter (QNH) in the cockpit as indicated in the ME/Briefing always gives a ground elevation about 50ft higher than the altitude indicated in the F10 map. For example, using an F-18, when taking off from Nellis runway 03 L/R, the altitude on the HUD should be 1840ft (the altitude when hovering your cursor over your position is 1842); if the QNH is set in accordance to the ME/Briefing, the altitude is 1890ft which corresponds to about +0.06 inHG. This also happens when taking off from runway 21 L/R (altitude on the HUD should be 1850ft). I believe this issue is consistent throughout the map and may be due to the fact that either the altitudes in indicated in the F10 map are wrong or the actual ground elevation is higher than it actually is. Not a game stopper (always check your actual altitude on ramp/runway as a good practice) but worth having a look.
  14. 1) Ground power ON (via menu) 2) Ground switches on the left panel: RESET + 1:B (keep it at least three seconds) + 2:B + 4:B
  15. What are the changes in this 6.4 version? I cannot find the changelog on the internet...
  16. One of the issues to be corrected is the ballooning effect when moving the flap switch from AUTO to HALF/FULL. According to real F-18 pilots, that does not happen in the real jet (I believe the FCS counters it).
  17. Thank you Vibora! Always the best...
  18. I did a repair followed by a re-installation of the module and nothing changed; I then did an uninstall of the module followed by a repair and then a re-installation of the module but the problem persists. All mods (very few) off. But let me narrow it down now that I've run some tests: 1) The ground power ON/OFF (accompanied by chocks and ladder removal and wearing of helmet) works ok 2) The issue seems to be the ground refuelling which goes on indefinately (unless from 97% to 100% should take more than 10 minutes - point at which I exited the simulation). It seems like it gets stuck on refuelling (sound always on) and if the ground is connected, it cannot be disconnected To sum it up, the problem seems to be both the ground refuelling (see above) and the fuel level: if a C-101 is added to an airport in the ME with 100% fuel, once in the cockpit, the fuel level shows 97%; asking for a refuelling starts the infinite refuelling process. If this is just happening to me, bad luck. Not a sim breaker...
  19. Does repair cancel my sim and HOTAS settings?...
  20. Hi all! Two possible bugs on the ramp: 1) when creating a mission in the ME with a C-101CC on ramp with 100% fuel, once in the cockpit and asking for rearming, the fuel level is 97%; when asking for 100% fuel, the refuelling goes on and on without stopping 2) when connecting GPU, it cannot be disconnected Maybe I'm doing something wrong?...
  21. Grazie and thanx to TLTeo and Vibora respectively!
  22. Hi all! I know (by experience) that the C-101EB has ITT limitations for the operation of its TFE 731-2-2J engine; these are clearly indicated at pag.109 of the manual. Since the C-101CC has another engine (TFE 731-5-1J) where can I find the temperature limitations? Are these the same as engine TFE 731-2-2J? Thank you!
  23. Hi all! In the last update they have modified the sensitivity of the altimeter setting. That is fine but now if you want to change the setting via an assigned button, the speed the setting changes is hilariously fast... Request: could you please reduce the button-assigned sensitivity a bit? Thank you!
  24. No news on this? ED not interested at all?
  25. Hi all! I get this "DictKey_descriptionText_1" message in the Mission Description when selecting a custom mission from the "Mission" menu; the mission has its own mission description visible in the mission editor. It was (probably) imported from CFlite. Any clue? Thank you!
