  1. When this ACLS frenzy fades away and people will start fly CASE I again, I hope more people will notice this abrupt nose down behaviour when at the ramp. As far as I remember, it was not there before the patch; not being a real-life carrier qualified FA-18 pilot, I can only speculate but that quick change of attitude does feels strange to me... P.S. Wands at night are awesome though
  2. The radio on the F-18 is VHF/UHF: - VORs are VHF (Very High Frequency - MHz) - NDBs are MF (Medium Frequency - kHz) Simply put, NDBs use a different frequency band. Use VORs and you will be fine...
  3. No worries! It was clear enough to me...
  4. Thank you Sedlo! I completely forgot to assign a NAME to the smoke and I thought it would work with the name of the ZONE...
  5. Hi all! I tried this (longed) new option implemented in the latest OB patch but I cannot make it work even though trigger conditions and trigger area names are correct. Does anybody have the same issue?
  6. Add a written reference to the type of vehicle you are manning when in first person view. For instance, in the top left corner of the screen.
  7. Hi all! In the SPAA ZU-23-2, the overhead turret compass indicates +180° from the correct LOS bearing. For instance, if I'm looking South (confirmed by vehicle compass on the top right of the screen), the overhead turret compass shows 000°. I believe it's got to do with the aft-looking arrangement of the turret. A +180° correction for this specific vehicle and others with a similar arrangement would solve the problem.
  8. Thank you Maximov and MotorEAST! I checked recently and still it didn't work. Happy to know it's been ackowledged and hopefully it will fixed soon.
  9. Hi GazAce! What I did was copy the SC mission in my personal missions' folder and delete the wingman. I reported it because I thought it should be corrected in the stock files. And an easy fix indeed (btw, no wingman in the Case I mission in PG)...
  10. Hi all! 1) Mission description indicates BRC to be 123 but it is 116 instead 2) The wingman is a danger: a. if you break at 1.0nm DME, it breaks at the same time you break and he gets on your way on downwind b. if you break between 1.0 and 1.5 DME, it flyes with you in trail formation c. if you manage to survive a. and b. and you bolter, he will keep on calling "rejoin" and you might end up being flown over (happened to me once) 1) is easily correctable; as for 2), simply remove the wingman (it gives no "extra" to the mission - see Persian Gulf Case I mission)
  11. Now the question is: when will it be available?
  12. Oooops! My bad! It is Nellis...
  13. Hi all! The sign at the hold short position of runway 21R on DELTA shows "E" instead of "D". Pictures attached.
  14. I would like to add my "thank you", too.
  15. Thank you! I checked the NATOPS before posting the message but I could not find any reference; I must have missed it...
  16. Hi all! While flying at night and with the instrument's backlight I noticed that on the left side of the course (CRS) switch on the UFC there is a "+"; when the switch is moved to the left, the course degrees are reduced and not increased... I don't know how it's supposed to work but I thought I would drop a message here just in case...
  17. Here's the track! I noticed that: 1) it only happens if no contact is detected by the radar. If there's a contact (even if undesignated), SCS to the "silenced" radar DDI locks to it 2) it happens on both right and left DDI Air Radar SIL.trk
  18. Hi all! Just found out the following: 1) set air radar on the right DDI (I haven't tried this on the left DDI) 2) press OSB 7 SIL to put the air radar in SILENT mode (SIL should be boxed) 3) press the Sensor Control Switch (SCS) towards the right DDI (where the air radar is displayed) 4) the air radar exits SIL mode but "SIL" on OSB 7 is not displayed anymore 5) if switching to surface radar and back to air radar, "SIL" comes back Questions/notes: 1) is the air radar supposed to get out of SIL mode when the SCS is pressed in the direction of the DDI? 2) the surface radar does not get out of SIL mode if the SCS is pressed towards it Request: 1) would it be possible to enlarge the TDC area of selection for "SIL"? It always takes me a few hits to enable it with the TDC (I always seem to miss the "soft spot") Thank you!
  19. Will a working CDU be included in later updates of the module?
  20. Mine was only an editorial correction. I will check how the reject assignment works and will report back!
  21. I have reported myself one or two bugs but those were never implemented. It seems the module is at a very low priority within ED now.
  22. Hi all! Just found a mistake in the manual under the Reject Setup paragraph. Current paragraph: "When selected pressing 1 at pushbutton 2 sets the item to appear in reject level 2, pressing pushbutton 2 sets the item to reject level 2, and pressing pushbutton 3 enables the item to be visible on all reject levels." How it should read: "When selected pressing 1 at pushbutton 2 sets the item to appear in reject level 1, pressing pushbutton 1 sets the item to reject level 2, and pressing pushbutton 3 enables the item to be visible on all reject levels." I propose the following rewording (easier to follow through): "When selected, pushbutton 3 enables the item to be visible on all reject levels, pushbutton 2 sets the item to appear in reject level 1 and pushbutton 1 sets the item to reject level 2." Attaching picture for reference.
  23. Hi all! I don't know if this is a bug or working as intended but I'll submit it anyway even if someone may find it "minor"... When starting the aircraft, if the Internal Light switch is set to NITE (and probably NVG, too - haven't checked it) BEFORE electrical power is supplied, the IFEI lights always starts in DAY mode regardless of MODE switch position. This happens both with battery and ground power. I'm attaching two track files (one battery startup and one ground startup). P.S. As a side note, IFEI's light in NITE and NVG mode seems to me a bit too bright at night. To make it readable, I usually set it to "zero" first and then to the first "tick" above it; higher settings provide too much backlight in my opinion... 24. Hi all! As the title implies, will wind speed and direction ever be implemented in the A/C page? Thank you!
