The flyable link failed, but thanks for this anyway

Thank you

Glad I found this thread, I was confused by the announcement as I logged to to play, but I've already paid for the channel map, this is an encouragement to those who don't have it yet....duh...got it! Thanks all

I understand that a lot of planes use the P-51 cockpit, see Markindel's various aircraft. I did say, As far as I know, no one seems to be doing other marks of any of the original aircraft. Hopefully a more knowledgeable person will be able to help further

I'm fairly sure no one has because it's a ED/issued so protected copyright etc AFAIK

Aye lost the RAF GSE trolley, eeeek, I used that a lot, but at least it does not stop us from opening the file and amending it. Got the RAF Truck and Rapier still with us. Would be good to get it fixed

Thanks for that razo+r, guess it saves an axis. As we have an AI, they could modify that without too much trouble, but better still would be a Flyable version, with the solid nose and guns,.....even if it is generally going to lose!

My tuppence worth, I like it a lot. It's a big unit and clamps to my game chair, right side, I have the warthog on the left, so I'm kinda flying left handed when I'm manipulating the Bravo, feels a bit wierd but hey ho, nice problem to have. It stays put, and very smooth in operation. I thought the lever's looked quite 'dinky' I have large hands, but actually once you start using it you can easily hold all 4 levers for excellent control. I got it mainly for MSFS2020 but decided to try it on DCS. I unplugged the Hotas so I have 2 sets of control set up for each aircraft without conflicts. It was an expensive purchase, but I would say very well worth the money. I've had other throttles that have felt more plasticy toy like, and they failed. IMHO this isnt and it has the flexibility to swop from 4 engine airliner to anything you want. Comes well packed and the alternative handles are in their own storage boxes for when they are not required. I did fork out £15 for 2 life size knob's for the Boeing 737, but you have to unscrew the handles each time. I gave up and got on with what was in the box. I did try and get two spare lever's but they do not ship parts from the U.S. to the UK so be aware of that. I have no idea if that will come in the future. Hope this helps Thank you Graf Spee for the explanation, I wondered why it was a switch. So won't be waiting for that, appreciate the reply

Perhaps it could be the JU-88C as used in the Bay of Biscay (See Bloody Biscay, Chris Goss) These aircraft fought regularly and there are a lot of both version on the bottom of that bay!

Was not sure where to ask this but here goes. I have a Honeycomb Bravo Throttle and yesterday I set up my WW2 A/C on it, for better engine control. However, there was not an axis on any of the aircraft that responded on the mixture setting. Spitfire/P-51-P47, bf109.....forgot the Dora, will do that today So I have Throttle and Prop set up on 2 axis,(axes?) but as the mixture in set as 'analogue' on some so it does not respond Could I ask for an axis to allocated in a future update please? Of course that would be multiple axis for the Mossie, Thanks

Honeycomb Bravo Throttle ?
flyingscotsman replied to packman2002's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Glad to see it should work, will give it a go. Only problem I have is the game chair has my Hoyas on the left, honeycomb on the right, so I’ll have to fly left handed on the warthog (right handed) stick. Might take some getting used to, won’t help my landings much, but a nice problem to have. Is anyone keeping both throttles plugged in? -
Brilliant, thanks. Remember sat outside Akrotiri ATC in Sept 79 about 5am, enjoying the sunrise and the U2 was being walked up to it's take off point, About 20 mins later the roar of the jet as it came down from the right, then before it had covered much of the runway, it tilted upwards and was away, climbing, literally like a rocket. We used to here it at Episkopi across the bay, but being right under it was something else

Its Flyable of sorts, a bit odd on the flight model (IMHO) but it is what it is, not so sure if the team have the time to work further on it. I generally use it as static item

Avro Vulcan XH558 - Mod by T-Pap

Initial release as static fine for me, now we have Akrotiri Cyprus, there was one sat for years over the other side of the airfield, it had been damaged at some point and used for battle damage repair I recall, but became unsteady on its legs, so the pyro boys had something to blow up! Don't thing the cockpit was saved at all. And of course you could take it back to pre Cyprus conflict 74/75 and have a pile of static Vulcans. Win win, thank you -
Tried on a google translator and it's too big but it was a nice idea, thanks

I definately need a manual, thanks

F-14E Super Tomcat and other What-if Planes
flyingscotsman replied to Tank50us's topic in DCS Modding
https://www.pinterest.ca/maclean0525/tsr2/ Here's a link to many pictures and some colour drawings of the aircraft in projected colours. I have no problem with 'what if's", it would have been upgraded in the same way we had to upgrade every aircraft we've ever produced. There was and excellent article some years back in the annual Magazine for the RAF, had a whole 'story' of the TSR2 in service and the new missile systems it would have been able to carry. 'Fill your boots' as we say -

All of the list have aircraft that are in museums, if you have a member near RAF Cosford museum for the TSR 2, Contact Cosford T: 01902 376 200 cosford@rafmuseum.org Royal Air Force Museum Cosford, Shifnal, Shropshire TF11 8UP That's the contact information, you could always give them a ring and ask if you can get photo's from inside, they may even have some on file. Good luck -
Just tried it in 2.7, have the vsn aircraft, in my User/myname/savedgames/DCS Openbeta/MODS/Aircraft. I'd download the latest version and try again

VNAO T-45 Goshawk
flyingscotsman replied to MadMaxter's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Bremspropellor, I stand corrected. The RAF Hawk was not fully pressurised, and on a previous model in this sim you would have the effects of Hypoxia if you exceeded that height. Well done for reading the whole manual. So the USN must have put some big bucks in the update to the basic airframe, not sure we would have done that even with the latest version, MOD is noted for being penny wise but pound foolish as we say in the UK -

Re Bremspropellar, Nice job with the Mach.1 but as you should have passed out after 10k feet. The old hawk is not pressurised, it's up to the crew to keep their masks and and stay safe. I don't know what the normal training/operational window is for the hawk....but it ain't 40kft lol -

Christmas has come early, THANK YOU to all involved, sorry I'm about to splatter it across CVN-72 . amendement, never made it to the USS Abraham Lincoln, had to do a lot of adjustment of my system so I didn't steer off the runaway, a different set up than what I'm used to, but that's not a critism. I abandoned my flight out, (Dinner calling) but descending through the clouds.....in the 1/2 dark of the room , for a full minute, I could feel I was in a PROPER simulator, I've flown, it's different and so are the commercial and military sims, but with the clouds, sunset, needing a gap etc, I was TOTALLY ABSORBED...and THATS where this system is the bee's knees. THANK YOU TO EA, AND ALL WHO ADD TO OUR ENJOYMENT, G'night.....lovely plane!
