flyingscotsman replied to razo+r's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
I see an updated F104G Skin on the site, it mentions the F104 was updated in Feb, but the filehost.de website only has update in Jan. Has anyone got an updated link? -

Avro Vulcan XH558 - Mod by T-Pap
flyingscotsman replied to T-Pap's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Absolutely amazing, Pre-Covid gave a days work at the North East Aircraft Museum, We got a tour of the Vulcan, sat in the Captains seat and it looked so familiar after the Just flight and it's FS2004 predecessor. The guide was impressed I could almost go through an engine start sequence, needed an air engineer....none around. The guys kep asking if I was a pilot, Flight Sim, just confused them....civvies....haha But this would be so awesome to fly, for the 'Black Buc'er's where are you going to put your tankers? T-pap, be very happy with whatever you produce, and don't expect a 100% rendition on these older aircraft, run of the mill is fine for me...I'm a run of the mill pilot LOL -

Can I ask, in the Syria map, my Gazelle flies for about 2-3 minutes then the engine winds down and I'm heading for the ground. Have tried it in various version of the map and basic, has anyone else had this. Googled it, but no information. Sorry if in wrong place

Remember these at RNAS Condor (Arbroath Scotland) at the annual airshow in the 50's-60's it would demonstrate the double mamba engine off, one prop normal the other feathered, probably would be banned now. Big beastie. THANK YOU

VSN flyable aircraft mods
flyingscotsman replied to razo+r's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Sad the latest update may have scrambled the cockpits and will hopefully wait for VSN to resolve. Did updates from the DE:\Host files site, on Thursday evening, but no change. So glad the models are still available as they are the eye candy on most of my bases. Just cannot get cockpits up that I had before, no crashes, so no rush,Thanks to VSN for getting us these MODS -
I put mine in C:\Users\XXXXXX\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\Aircraft, as you said and it's now the only one with a cockpit. However, following the advice above to put it in the main folder,I moved it, cut/paste to the c\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Open Beta\MODS, then Core Mods, then Demo Mods, and it was disabled on each attempt. I've put it back to the original that you mentioned and it's working, suggest you download again and insert. Hi, Brilliant, thank you. I was part of the 'talking freight' for 5 years back in the 70's. I always sat last seat, Left side(Facing forward) by the door. Used to stand at the door inbound to Lyneham as the descent started, break thru the cloud and see the British countryside again.....hey. green fields...normality...amazing, Knew I was pushing my luck as we passed over Swindon's 'magic roundabout' and then the aircraft would roll left, I would lose the view....and round about the the loadie would 'have a word'...haha. One guy just let me stand to the bitter end, shaking his head (Thank you Sarge). Did a low level Lye- Newcastle with full load of para's who puked their way to Newcastle, weather out of limits for the drop. A/C was very bumpy, loadie did a walkabout with a sick back in hand....made a show of BARFING into the bag...the looked in. saw something interesting and pulled out something to 'recycle' that set off the talking freight....grabbing bags and filling them....lol. Low level in Rhodesia, it was so bumpy and hot, they opened the back door to let air in and we could go walkabout on the ramp, once they put the long lead and belt on you. Too late for my Cpl, but I was glad of the fresh air. Anyway,. I cannot get my MFG Crosswinds to be recognised...if you could sort that, no rush, THANK YOU -
I updated with the last update, had to take some mods off to get the f-14a working. Now get, F-14 disabled, but in fact both are disabled. I can get them to show up but I cannot get them to respond to any inputs. I have: Cleaned up/repaired, The aircraft did not get rejected, but did not work. Then when I tried to get a mission working second time, they were disabled again (I am not in off line mode) I did go off line and back on line to check, but same result, disabled I rolled back to previous version, and then updated. I started the mission again, it said I need to install the F-14b module again. I shows as installed in my installations. I saw mention of the slew control interfering with the pitch, deleted the slew control on the Mini joystick. no change I can input the pitch, roll , throttle etc, but no response in game from any input item. Request advice with thanks in advance

I have this problem, I am not in off line mode I checked that, it says, do you want to go to off line mode, everything will be switched off. So I've left it. I've been adding mods. so going to repair etc and see what happens

Back having to RTFM and follow the tutorials, excellent upgrade, still amazes me that the pilots can do all this stuff, I can do set pieces, but not the whole thing, but it's fun and satisfying thanks for a great upgrade -
