  1. Agree. What is decent performance/quality is very relative and dependent to who you ask. Just have realistic expectations. There is a reason so many VR-users get the 4090. With reprojection and 45 fps I think alot of GPUs can give a relatively good experience. Personally I do not like the reprojection on Pico 4. Not as good as e.g Quest and Varjo. If you are increasing graphics settings and resolution or want to run stable at 72 fps you need a strong GPU. It is easier after introduction of MT, foveated rendering and DLSS
  2. Agree with above comments regarding wifi/gigabit connection. Fast and stable network connection is a must for good and smooth image. Also I recommend setting the absolute resolution in OXRTK if you want higher resolution than Godlike in VD and not using Pixel Density in DCS (leave at 1.0). Based on above your GPU and CPU are doing OK with overhead for 36fps (reprojected). May want to consider turning up to 45fps reprojected and turn down graphics settings some. Highly recommend DLSS Quality for the overall best performance vs visuals.
  3. Use the advanced FPS counter in OXRTK. It will give you the frame times for both CPU and GPU. You can even set the target FPS and it shows you the CPU and GPU overhead in %. Highly recommended when you are tweaking settings.
  4. I am not around the PC for some time due to holidays I am sure some other can give the multiplayer VRAM status.
  5. For most of my more less complex mission lately, my 4090 uses around 50-60%. With more variations in units and skins the VRAM increases.
  6. I must agree. Have not been «sniped» for quite some time…
  7. I think you would get better responses in a more general VR thread
  8. Not 100% sure what is the cause, but have some observations. You have are relatively weak system for VR, so you have to work carefully to optimize the quality vs performance. 1. You are running terrain shadows, which is very heavy for the GPU/CPU. With your systems specs they should be OFF. 2. Are you running 72 Hz with reprojection (ASW)? 3. Have you turned off non-essential applications (except VD) from running in the background? 4. If you have TACView, disable it. Would love to see your DCS settings in English to give some more advice.
  9. Page will not even open for me in Chrome. Auto closes...
  10. Why are you using Open Composite? You only need VD (and OXRTK)…
  11. I was on Steam also before. You should transfer to stand-alone version of DCS: Steam (digitalcombatsimulator.com) What are the differences (in addition to better and more frequent sales): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/steam/#1510458
  12. Great you are up and running with VD From VD homepage: Make sure your computer is wired to your router and not wirelessly connected. You need at least an 802.11 AC Router and it is required to use a 5 GHz connection. Also are you running SteamVR? You should run VDXR.
  13. Is SteamVR. Keep DCS PD at 1.
  14. Great. Now you can tweak resolution and settings so you get stable 45 fps reprojection. Remember it is a balance between image clarity/quality and performance. Would highly recommend you to somehow get hold of VD. Much better image quality for same performance.
  15. You are getting good frame rates which is a good baseline. I am using VD and then it locks to 45 fps in reprojection mode. No need to do any other settings. I am not sure how to do this in Streaming Assistant. Anyone else knows? Are you able to take a screenshot of the "white stripes" from the mirror image displayed on the PC? Important: Also recommended to set your DCS resolution to minimum possible resolution, so the mirror image on the monitor is as small as possible
  16. Hi I am a little rusty in my Russian , so I can't really comment on the settings not in English. Based on your setup you should be able to run DCS in VR with reprojection at 45Hz. Please test the following: 1. Set headset in 90Hz mode and in the Pico headset settings. 2. Put OXRTK in SAFE mode or disable (for the time being) 3. Turn ON ASW/reprojection i Streaming Assistant. 4. Close ALL applications on the PC not needed (most). 5. Choose LOW preset in DCS in the Graphics-tab. Report back how it runs...
  17. Same issue for me in VR with F-15E and F-16. Almost like a flashbang is going off outside the side of the cockpit window
  18. Based on my specs I get same frame times for the GPU, but much worse frame times for the CPU (almost a doubling) when using Quad fov. Quad foveated rendering seems to be best if you have a relatively powerfull CPU compared to GPU. If you have a powerfull GPU it is better to go for OXRTK foveated rendering.
  19. That is right. To run DCS in VR with Pico 4, you only need Virtual Desktop (VD). Optionally add OpenXR Toolkit (OXRTK) if you like to do some additional tweaking (like FOV-rendering to get some extra FPS)
  20. Hi apelsin44ek Something is very much off here. What is your full PC spec? Also can you please take screenshots of both the VD-settings, DCS graphics settings and DCS VR-tab settings and I can see if I find some obvious causes? Note: If you for some reason decide to use (the inferior) Streaming assistant and SteamVR, please post screenshots of those also.
  21. OVGME does the following: 1. Takes the original DCS-files and stores them. 2. Add the mod files into the correct DCS folder(s) 3. If you like to revert back to vanilla DCS, you just click a button and OVGME will automatically delete the mod files and put the original DCS files back again. Highly recommended if you use any mods.
  22. Interesting, will be testing later.
  23. It is a thread discussing bad quality and support from WW. Glad you are happy with you gear, but other have not been as seen from this thread.
  24. Even worse...
  25. «Buy cheap, buy twice» is my experience. Go VKB or Virpil.
