  1. I don’t believe the XL ever got any avionics? I could be wrong and it had whatever F-16 of the day had. I’m perfectly fine with no product aircraft provided they actually where combat able. I’d actually like to propose that aircraft that where built but never equips would be perfect for community mods. The XL for example has tons of documentation through NASA. Imagine taking it to the Navada map and using it for DACT? Same with planes like the YF-23, perfect as sparing partners.
  2. We’re crt mfd ever installed on a Eurofighter?
  3. I’m sure you guys are right. I’m not picky with it being added rather then changed. Just that it seems the SU-30 as simulated currently is an SM in all but canards tvc.
  4. Your correct, I believe the Angolan ones due though? Several articles mention them carrying “Bars-r” and being “KN” standard https://www.defenseworld.net/news/24830/Angola_Receives_Last_Batch_of_Su_30K_Fighters_From_Belarus the .LUA sensor for the Su-30 in game is .n011 so from a game play perspective it’s correct. my suggestion is simply keep BVR and sensor capabilities the same but add canards, tvc etc to make it more interesting in BFM.
  5. Hello with the recent announcement of the new GFM flight model I thought I would make this suggestion. the Su-30 in game either is or most closely matches the Su-30kn. The Su-30kn was intended as a low cost modernization for the Russian Air Force. It would use a PESA array and serve as the “eyes” for more conventional flankers and fulcrums. The KN never seems to have been adopted for Russian service, though the standard was recently resurrected for Angola. however the general concept was resurrected in the Su-30sm. The SM even uses the same radar the kn simulates, the n011m. With its post stall capabilities it would be a very unique way to display the GFM. It is also more accurate to what’s in use and can stand in for a larger number of aircraft. beta of an old MKI sim that was publicly released for the sake of feasibility. Thank you for your consideration.
  6. So the physical hud is the same as a mirage 2000c hud because they were looking to sell it to the UAE who at the time only used French equipment. Is it the same symbology?
  7. Hello! I found some short video of the su-37 hud. It seems different from most of the Flankers I’ve seen. I was wondering if anyone recognizes the symbology from anywhere else or was this an evolutionary dead end.
  8. https://books.google.com/books?id=id9kQCuqepQC&pg=PA138&dq=f-16+block+25+aim-7&hl=en&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&source=gb_mobile_search&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj3wLHM8rv0AhXCGc0KHQN1DuIQ6AF6BAgGEAM according to this Apg-68(v)1 starting with the block 40 was sparrow compatible.
  9. I found this article implying at least as late as 2000 the Eurofighter would have the ability to carry skyflash https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12196040.bishopton-threat-to-eurofighter-operation/ can any Eurofighter carry Semi active missiles? Skyflash, sparrow, Aspide? I know the EAP carried mock ups (along with a very early ASRAAM mock up) but no idea if it was ever do operationally or even in testing.
  10. Oh you know what. Their is a guy I know with a real Mig 1.42 cad model. Very detailed has fuel fraction and stuff. I’d love to hire someone to do a CFD study and make an AI opponent for the Eurofighter when it comes out.
  11. I’ve actually wanted to make a “Sink the Ulyanovsk” campaign with Su-27km for fleet defense. It would be cool if campaign makers were allowed to make them as AI assets and add them.
  12. Completely support this! their was that Graphland Su-27m simulator. It claimed to be accurate on its website. Apparently some employees when to work for On Flanker? If that’s true I would love that. Maybe it wouldn’t be balanced but it would be a good modern multirole.
  13. I don’t have it a bms mod team’s. I am trying hard to find one though. I assume someone with more connections could get one, since they were apparently gifted it. I figured it differed from a manual but supposedly it has a lot of information on the workings. I found out The DITC has a ton of F-2 documentation, which I’m trying to earn exactly what for a FOIA request. and I have an itemized list of how the F-2 and F-16 block 40 are similar and different. I expect to have some stuff by the end of the month.
  14. The engineering model of the J/APG-1 had its test data sold to the US along with 5 T/R modules under a dual use export agreement. I’m in the process of obtaining this data and the air forces evaluation of the modules. not my manual, but Japan’s MoD isn’t as closed as you might think.
  15. Their is a f-2 mod for another flight sim and they have an actual F-2 manual. It’s not nearly as difficult as one might think.
  16. What about Communicating. Keeping up foreign relations?
  17. I have a real Su-27km (navalized su-47 project from the 80s) I have thought of getting someone to CFD it and making an NPC based on it for a Ulyanovsk mod. I do think playable aircraft need to have at least gone through weapons integration.
  18. Flankers are big and heavy, their is about 12000lbs difference in empty weight between the two.
  19. Big mouth GE F-16 is probably the most similar from a flight model point of view.
  20. I’ve had two different people mention to me they have all of part of an SMT manual. I assume the day will come when a newer red plane will come out.
  21. I’d love a Mig-29kr but I’d like to point out since AI aircraft use a SFM, and we have all the files for the 9.31 on the Flanker 2.5 cad, and most of our AI assets date for different periods of time anyway. Why not just restore it? I’m don’t let that stop anyone from making more modern AI units, but why not just read this to the game as AI?
  22. Well if your not giving information you get from enemy sources to the people who design your planes I’m not sure what good it’s doing you.
  23. I can't speak for the Tornado but if you compare Tsagi's estimates on the F-15 and F-16a to actual NASA data they wildly underestimated the performance of both airframes. As for the MLD, Airforces monthly October 2003 supposedly has MLD EM charts from the manual published. these are available on Ebay if anyone wanted to have an answer to the issue. 24. Japans phantoms were actually the tip of the spear in the maritime defense role (the key to Japanese defense strategy) till the early 2000s when the F-2 went online. The F-1 was obsolete by the early 90s and its radar was insufficient in both range and filtering sea clutter to use the Type 93 anti ship missile, only the much shorter range type 80. The F-4ej super Kai with the apg-66j was the main anti shipping aircraft till the F-2 went operational, and supplemented it till retirement.
  25. It’s probably meant to be an Arsenal plane. With targeting done by a stealth plane.
