  1. here is a pretty good breakdown of the different standards and what they included. It don't sound like it did. https://www.key.aero/forum/modern-military-aviation/97029-rafale-production-order-status?page=3
  2. https://web.archive.org/web/20060220044801/http://rafale-f2.france-simulation.com/ this one?
  3. so another user mentioned this but apparently in the 2000's their was a Rafale F2 simulator developed by a Thales engineer. I think I found their old website https://web.archive.org/web/20060220044801/http://rafale-f2.france-simulation.com/ apparently the demo was released into the wild. I was going to propose looking for it and maybe sending it to the Rafale mod teams?
  4. if and when we get the J-11a upgrades it should match the Su-27sm in air to air and only be less then the J-11b in air to air for 2000's flankers.
  5. Fun fact the fs2004 Boeing Stearman has 315000 tris.
  6. The FC3 cockpits have animation so I assume at some point this was planned (FC3 MSIP?) but it never happened. Maybe once the mig-29 ff comes out the other fc3 aircraft will have their day.
  7. Yea it was supposedly an instruction video and I was hoping they might have said something of interest. I saw it years ago not even thinking anything of it.
  8. That’s a block 30. Also block 30 is about 17-18000lbs empty block 50 19-20000. The gross weight is 20000 for the 30 graph and 26000 for the 50, the 50 is carrying around three tons while the 30 only one. That’s a block 30. 9. I was hoping someone who speaks the language might provide some context if it’s even in there.
  10. Interesting comments, not a danish speaker so I have no idea of the accuracy. Obviously the Typhoon is on the defensive but I was surprised by the 2/3rds number.
  11. It’s not carried on any aircraft but the Pl-8 is in files. I’m curious how it would compare to other similar missiles.
  12. https://www.flightglobal.com/eurofighter-new-aerodynamics-set-for-2014-test-flight/113606.article The 1986 mock up had LERX very similar to the AMK. These were presumably eliminated to optimize supersonic turning as the AMK slightly effects this. That was a perfectly reasonable design decision, that’s the Eurofighter’s bread and butter along with thrust. With that it has a substantial advantage over any fourth gen aircraft. If you get down and dirty your tossing that away for at best parity. Remember it’s a Typhoon not a Raptor with the Ram rubbed off.
  13. https://www.defenceview.in/chinese-j-10c-is-good-at-sneak-attacks-but-there-are-many-problems/ a senior Pakistani Air Force pilot who has flown a large number of aircraft claims the J-10c has better acceleration and climb then the JF-17 but worse then the F-16. It doesn’t say the version but it mentions he flew everything it Pakistan’s inventory which includes block 52 aircraft, Turkey’s which are GE powered and the UAE block 60. The block 50 is supposedly a little better then the block 52 in those categories.
  14. SD-12 is a redfor missile. It’s not on a plane most redfor players want but it’s absolutely as modern as AMRAAM and it’s specs online seem to show it as comparable to R-77-1 in range.
  15. I’m only aware of the tsAGI report, Le Bourget brochure, and Su-27sk manual. What other documentation is available? It would be useful to read. According to google translate ED seems confident the Flanker matches the documentation they have.
  16. http://www.mycity-military.com/uploads2/154453_865801817_Cy27_F15.pdf this is the tsAGI report mentioned earlier, it’s been posted before and the devs are aware of it. also of interest
  17. Do you mean apg-83 vs apg-68 or any aesa in general vs a MSA?
  18. The lack of em chart is why I’m trying to collect these. The Eurofighter may very well have the most relevant advantages in its flight model but if it behaves like a UFO I want to bring attention to official figures and for them to be discussed. Alternatively if I’m right and the do have similar STR low down it’s useful to have it on record in case anyone complains. It’s notable in Gero’s post he doesn’t say turn rate is the typhoons advantage over the hornet, it’s thrust.
  19. So I looked it up. Aspide Compatibly was planned but abandoned by 1992 a year before the first flight tests of the ECR-90a if anyone is interested.
  20. The GAO gives the Super hornet 18 degrees per second turn rate vs 19.2 per seconds on the 402 powered Hornet with equivalent loads at sea level. The super hornet has 93% of the hornet sustained turn rate under these conditions. MMRCA gives 15 degrees per second for the super hornet and 16.2 for the Eurofighter at 5000 feet. The loads are unknown but presumably comparable as I know of no attempt by Boeing to complain about this. The super hornet has 93% the STR of the Eurofighter under these conditions. the GAO report gives 11.6 degrees per second for the super hornet and 12.3 for the 402 powered f-18c at 15000. The super hornet has 94% the STR of the legacy hornet under these conditions. At least at low level both seem to be equally better then the super hornet. the F-16 mentioned is a Dutch F-16 MLU which has some weight gain but with an engine of similar thrust class. The Italian Air Force claims under 10000 feet their F-16 ADF and the Eurofighter are equivalent with the Eurofighter gaining advantage above that. https://theaviationist.com/2012/12/10/viper-dogfight/ This is to say nothing of the later vipers with enhanced engine options. Our block 50 should be somewhat comparable with more acceleration then the hornet or F-16a.
  21. But that was a J-10a. Even if it’s an AI it’s quite exciting.
  22. Oh you meant range didn’t you.
  23. I thought pl-11 had the Aspide‘s mono pulse seeker?
  24. If the JF-17 is Jeff will the J-10 be Jen?
  25. I’d love a J-10a or b. I don’t think Pesa presents the major issue often claimed. PESA is much more similar to mechanical scanning then it is to AESA. I hope if we get a J-10 by some chance it has Pl-11 though I’m only sure first batch J-10 can carry it. East Asia was actually a little late to the Fox 3 game and it would be possible to build a large number of different scenarios. if Deka does a J-10 it might be like the JF-17 where it is mostly similar to a certain variant but has some features of another which I’m fine with given how hard it would be to get such aircraft otherwise. also I’m wondering since Deka seems to like thrust vectoring if Deka will simulate it since at least one actual J-10 has it and it *might* have gone into a few later batch C aircraft? I’d have to look into that. anyway all speculation. Maybe it’s just an AI asset but I wouldn’t mind that either!
