  1. Can confirm. Tried it as part of start-up, but cannot disengage with abrupt movements
  2. yes with the Rhino, 1 disconnect. I find it pretty stable initially, and once it gets heavy it starts to woobble, or maybe I should just retrim. I find it hard reaching for the trim though when I'm flying with tips of fingers for AAR
  3. I haven’t been able to hear Jester either, was also on Nevada instant action mission
  4. Hi, This happened twice in a row now. Cold starting the phantom in Persian Gulf or the Marianas quick missions results in abnormal hydraulic pressure on the right side. Left side is within normal. This doesn't seem to affect flight characteristics as far as I could tell, but it stayed high for the duration of the flight. On the ground, a repair was not possible to correct this. It seems to have occurred since last patch, although I can't say for sure (not sure if I cold started the jet on these specific maps before). Bug maybe?
  5. Hi, id also like to add the perspective of a VR user who also uses controllers instead of a mouse. both the bombing table and the manual are really hard to navigate with the controllers. The reason is that both those windows can be moved around with the controllers freely . At times I want to adjust the values, but instead just grab the window and move it around. The scroll bar in the manual is unusable with controllers at the moment. It would be nice if they could be scrolled with the thumb sticks of the controllers. Currently the scroll bar on the right cannot be grabbed with the controllers, it just grabs the whole window and again moves it around. therefore, the manual is not very usable in VR with controllers at the moment. I prefer to use apps like Open Kneeboard. However, with the manual hyperlinks being bugged that’s not an option at the moment either. So please, fix at least one of these sooner than later so I can study the manual in flight thanks for this amazing piece of work!
  6. Hi! id just like to add that FFB in the Tomcat feels awesome, and thanks for the development! I do have a question about it - once engines are shut down, on the ground, I was draining the hydraulics pressure by moving the stick all around. I was expecting a change in the feel of the stick, potentially requiring more force as the hydraulic pressure is gone. I did not feel a difference though. It’s more of a question, since I don’t have experience with real stick and hydraulics. Should there be a change in the force needed to move the flight surfaces? thanks!
  7. Hi, After flying the Phantom, I switched to the F14 within the same DCS session. The force feedback implementation in the F14 completely went out of whack (pitch trim not working, forces acting very differently, such as no forces were felt around the centre at all). I restarted DCS only. Sat in the F14 right away, and FFB was working flawlessly again. My first flight within the same session affected my second flight in a new plane when it comes to FFB. I don't know if this is a DCS bug or whatnot, but if somebody is experiencing this weirdness, a DCS restart seemed to take care of it. This is on a Rhino base.
  8. I wasn't at any extremes. probably around angels 10 and 3-400 knots
  9. Hi, I've tried to tune in to the ILS for runway 31. I hear the morse code playing in the audio. I have the Bearing/Distance indicator on TAC, while the mode selector on ILS/VOR. The flag does not come on for the glideslope (with FD on). I'm not sure if it's a bug, but I was able to get ILS working on other maps before. Attached is tacview. Trackfile is too big to attach (80MB), but available as needed. Thanks! Tacview-20240602-183248-DCS-F-4E_IA_PG_Cold Start.zip.acmi
  10. "Out deploys the Slats to their fully deployed position. Should the landing gear be deployed, both the Slats and Flaps will deploy. Out and Down fully deploys both the Slats and the Flaps. Should the landing gear not be down, the Wheels Light on the telelight Panel will illuminate and flash." There is no pure slats position. With gears down, flaps and slats come down in the middle position
  11. I had this once and I believe it occurred during the MiG-29 instant action mission
  12. I use that awesome app, however, the stock F4 kneeboards don't seem to sync. Did you notice that?
  13. Definitely the level of detail, starting from the start-up procedures to the graphics to the helmet and visor and sunglasses, it's all awesome
  14. I wonder if the mission is as intended, but the second engine cutting out is causing the issue, as discussed here:
  15. In this mission, a couple minutes after the first engine goes out the second one does as well. From then on I do not have any control over the plane and thus I cannot make it to the divert airfield. Even if I jettison all stores, turn off dead engine master switch and generator. Once second engine dies I cannot restart it. Anyone tried this mission and had success?
  16. I initially had issues as well. THen realized that I had to tune the course knob to the provided course for the ILS. Bearing/distance I leave it on TAC, Navigation mode on ILS. It works now beautiful also, you might need to contact the tower as some towers will turn it on only after
  17. "use FFB trim implementation" under F14 Special settings. this is in addition to FFB enabled under general settings
  18. Having problem with VPForce RHino as well. Engaging autopilot the plane drops the nose forcefully. It does not hold altitude. I had no issues with these modes on spring stick. Edit: found the solution. I did not have the FFB implementation enabled under F14 special options. Now it all works great
  19. I have experienced this same issue in the F4 the other day, with volume knob fully up
  20. Hi! I have recently acquired an FFB base. I am noticing that the autopilot doesn't work with FFB currently. WHen I engage just attitude hold, the plane pitches down forcefully. This is even after the plane has been trimmed neutral. When I engage altitude hold, it does not hold the altitude after pressing the reference button and the light going out. Is there a fix for this? Thank you for your work on this amazing bird Edit: it's all fixed. I had to enable the FFB under F14 special settings. Now trim and autopilot work beautifully
  21. For me wheel is visible now. All I had to do was click "use system resolution" in DCS mirror under VR tab
  22. I'm on Pimax Crystal and having the same issue, and yes, cannot go to single thread. Have to try fiddling with special settings
  23. Same issue, however I cannot even contact the tanker even when I get there, therefore no refuelling and no RTB. This was the only time I made it to this part of the mission by flying way over the MANPADS. Some weird AI bug happened to Smoke though and he didn't provide high cover just followed me all along, and then at some point he just ejected, and the plane kept bouncing around in the AO. Messed up AI
  24. I have tried different approaches but I cannot get through this part of the mission. Attached is a tacview of my latest attempt. That Igla takes a crazy turn at Mach 1.6 and like the flares weren't even there. I do not like skipping missions but I'll be doing that on this one Tacview-20240505-003323-DCS-R1 M03 ALT A.zip.acmi
  25. Yes this worked! So the coordinates were given in minutes decimal. This format worked accurately when entering a markpoint. For PP I guess I would need seconds and more precise coordinates. Designated the markpoint as you mentioned and then I didn't need to slew the pod, it was right on target. Now just struggling with the SAM evasion part haha. I saw some tips on the forum that I'll try
