  1. Yeah I tonight had my first OpenXR flight on multiplayer. Very bad experience with most of the times 9FPS or less. Will definately switch back to SteamVR for MP.
  2. Okay so tonight was our flight night and my first time trying OXR in a Multiplayer environment. Flying on Nellis NTTR with a bunch of scripts and pilots flying around I normally get about 40-45 FPS with SteamVR but now I most of the times was getting 9FPS or worse, almost flew into the ground on a downwind turn in an overhead pattern. So a big stutterfest and my eyes are still hurting and I am still feeling a bit nauseous. For MP flights I think I will have to switch back to SteamVR.
  3. Anybody got a NVG mod working after switching to OpenXR? None of mine work anymore. No idea how to fix them..
  4. I tried changing the lighting myself, did not work. Mimicking might work when I am the lead, but for the practice I am just flying off others.
  5. Hi I created a mission to practice complete darkness formation flying in the hog without NVG's. The formation lights of the AI aircraft are not consistent or not working at all. When AI aircraft makes a turn his formation lights switch off. Is this a bug or is there some kind of option I could use to program formation lights ON/OFF? Thanks,
  6. Hi @lefuneste are 3dmigoto's NVG functionalities working with OpenXR? Thanks,
  7. Hi I was on the fence as well but after reading all the positive messages in 23 pages of one thread I took the plunge yesterday. Let me tell you, it was time well spent. I am excited about it and give major kudos to Jabbah and Mbucchia for creating this. My eyes are not fooling me, can only fly with 90Hz but surprisingly having the FPS locked and automatically stepped down to 30 FPS in some places it still looks and feels better than whatever I had going with all the mods and tweaks that were going on. Already have turned up some of the DCS settings and am just starting to play around with OXR. Startup is quicker and smoother as well. So if you have an hour or two somewhere, just try it out is all I can say. Use a mod manager to easily switch out SVR and OXR. I don't think I will go back to SVR anymore and even take the loss of my favourite kneeboard app (OpenKneeboard), which currently is only in SVR. RE:fpsVR: You are right, I always also feel the need for some hard numbers and also have done 100+ tests with fpsVR and mod tuning in the last couple of months, following your example. There is some sort of performance stats functionality available with export to csv, see the opencomposite config file. Haven't taken the time to check it out myself yet. It still needs refinement and is not working perfectly for everybody yet. I still have an issue with OBS in combination with upscaling switched on. With the tempo that these devs are working on it I guess it will all be sorted out pretty soon. To save yourself some time and get up to speed quickly start with reading this thread, great work by @edmuss
  8. Fantastic! Thanks for compiling this.
  9. Reinstalled, no effect. How do I clean it out?
  10. So I have got it all working but now notice that my 64GB's of RAM quickly fill up whenever I choose upscaling in the OXR Toolkit. It takes less than a minute, followed by W10 choking on memory compression, CPU going up to 30% and DCS FPS dropping to 4-7, followed by a DCS crash. Tried both FSR and NIS on default settings.
  11. Yes I know. Have the Simplex shaders running at the moment. Looking for somebody with similar hardware and who has already played around with settings like anamorphic, size, sharpness, foveated settings, motion reprojection etc. Just to get to some sort of baseline which I can copy and start playing around from there on forward.
  12. Any 3080/3090 G2 user who has configured The OpenXR Toolkit to get some decent performance and good visuals? I just installed it, am used to Reshade + foveated VR Performance kit. No idea where to start with all the new settings and since this thread is already 21 pages long I hope somebody has a decent reference. Much apreciated
  13. Anybody got the OBS plugin to work by any chance? I am getting a black screen inside OBS. No idea what to do.
  14. No it didn't. It was still sneakily opening SteamVR.. I just figured out that OpenVR capture for OBS recording also still needs SteamVR.. No alternative yet I guess. Will wait with the switching..
  15. Getting the same error message. WMRP is off. OpenXR Demo is working fine.
  16. Hi the mods I have in the Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\mods are Tacview, SRS, VAICOM PRO, 476RangeTargets, HighDigitSAMS and some aircraft that I don't even know how they got there (F14, Hercules, J-11), so will kill them. What sounds mods did you see? I tried the CORE mod before but have it disabled at the moment. Thanks
  17. Thanks for the explanation! FHolger calls it VR Performance Toolkit. It could be confusing, that's for sure. Am using mods on all layers to squeeze out every last milisecond of frametime.
  18. Hi BIGNEWY, Please see my log attached. I ran a repair a couple of days ago. This is with some mods enabled. Will try slow repair and refly to try again probably later on. Cheers, dcs.log
  19. Did you try it? Am using the fork at the moment, wondering if it is still needed. Was asked the same question in another thread.
  20. It happens right below my plane when I am in the weeds. Looks really trippy. There is about 1-2 NM distance tops. So tree distance or visual distance should not be a factor I think?
  21. Hi I haven't tried it yet. But when I look at his Github I see the following, so I guess it is not fully implemented yet. Planned mods: "Fixed foveated" rendering (render fewer pixels at the edges of the screen) Radial Density Masking (all GPUs, but works only with a handful of games) Force hidden area mask: don't render pixels at the edges that are not visible in the headset. Many games already use this mask, but not all. This mod will allow you to force its usage.
  22. Hi since the latest update all the warning sounds got really bad. The gear up warning, Stall warnings, autopilot etc. They all are very loud and remind me of Windows 3.1 standard chime and dingbings etc. Spoke to Bignewy on Discord and was advised to check own mods. Checked them and they are no factor. Yesterday flew with someone else who experienced exactly the same thing.
