  1. I am getting reduced performance, losing about 4.5 FPS and adding about 1 msec to my GPU framerate. Test 95 - Previous OB with VR Shader Test 96 - New OB without VR Shader
  2. By adding this file I did not get the tonemap.fx error anymore, but the Shader mod performance did not return. Test 95 - VR Shaders mod Test 96 - Without Shader mod Test 97 - VR Shadermod + adjusted Tonemap.fx However DCS also crashes when I open the NVG.
  3. No specific reason. I just recorded my keystrokes and put them in there. It seems to work.
  4. Sorry I forgot to respond. I just recorded the clicks I did on the right MFCD, browse to the HMCS menu and changing the settings using the OBS buttons. Here is a screenshot of what I did. The list with commands is very long, because I changed about every setting in the HMCS menu. Hope it helps to get you started.
  5. I would like it if the Vaicom kneeboard would get tabs and had a way of controling those Pin/sticky notes through a command.
  6. @actually_fredSo I installed the OpenKneeboard, put the files in the /scripts/hooks folder as instructed and have the game listed in the games tab. The app by itself works; I added a folder with pages and can browse these pages with the controlled bindings. But I don't see the kneeboard appearing inside DCS in VR. Any way of troubleshooting this?
  7. For me the combination Reshade 5.0 and forked foveated vrperfkit works great. Happy with the visuals and the performance in VR.
  8. I use the kneeboard inside DCS (Vaicom Pro one at the moment) because somehow I can't get the SteamVR overlayed kneeboard at the same focal distance when I position the kneeboard on my lap, right besides the CDU. This causes me eyestrain and eye focus issues when going back and forth between kneeboard and CDU, for example when entering CDU flightplan. The second and most important reason for me using the in-game kneeboard is the performance hit I get with the SteamVR one. When I open the kneeboard in SteamVR my frametime takes a big hit and it becomes unplayable for me. I do like the functionality of the Virtual Kneeboard because of the chapters etc, so I hope it gets better. I am not using VR controllers for any the kneeboards. I use shortcuts on my hotas for browsing etc.
  9. Great! Will try when I return home. Cheers
  10. @baltic_dragon I forgot to mention before: IRL all aircraft at Golf have their noses pointing SE. Guess it was a creative decision made for dramatic visual effect, because way cooler passing by the noses of the planes of course.
  11. VRPK (+ forked foveated) + ReShade 4.9 + VR shaders 2.7.9.17830 (Taz version IC pass). I hope ED sorts out the GBU issue soon. I renamed the VRPK .dll
  12. I did that once and will not do it again for long flights. It takes me so much extra time. The track replay I still have to move the camera around in 2d, and then I start tinkering with external camera's etc. Then I put it into Resolve and the upload. An hour video of a simple training becomes 4 hours of work. So easier is just to upload the raw recording to Youtube. (Sorry SOH for going a bit off topic here in your thread)
  13. Yes and because of the small sweet spot it really is quite tiring to watch these recordings in 2d, because the camera goes all over the place all the time, following the eyes. Well for me it's the VR experience that is most important anyways, so every little bit of extra performance we can get is very welcome.
  14. Foveated is giving some nice extra performance kick, but definately not for straight-to-Youtube videos. The visual quality gets really bad in the corners of the screen. See example, especially the bottom left corner of the screen when it is moving over the instrument panel (am using a small offset). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_hS6ga_WtM&ab_channel=DCSWorld%3AA-10FlightTraining
  15. I got it to work this time around. (checked by enabling debug). Did you only swap out the dll and use the vrperfkit.yml as you already had it configured with vrperfkit? I switched off Reshade and with the fresh .yml the performance is fantastic, but it looks horrid if I use the sharpness settings in that yml.
  16. I tried flying a little bit lower than the drones. Easier to see them against the sky.
  17. Biff!!! What are you doing?!?! Check my approach to the tanker, maybe it is of use? I initially approached to the left observation position and had Biff to my left while refueling. The tanker was making some left and right turns as well. Guess it is some AI stuff going on there..
  18. Yeah you are both right. I don't know what gave me this boost. Will go back and take a good look, because I was tinkering with other things as well and probably messed some things up. I will also give 3dmigoto another try. The GBU FPS bug that @lefuneste figured out is brilliant, so really need that as well for the time being. Had some strange 3dmigoto behavior before, but that was with another shader mod. Will use Simplex this time around.
  19. I forgot to take care of collateral damage and shot the drone over a populated area.
  20. Anybody already tried the new Open Kneeboard by Fred Emmott? It looks very promising! https://github.com/fredemmott/OpenKneeboard I read that with the G2 there are still some performance issues, which I compare to VRK. So I will wait out a bit.
  21. Thanks for the help. I changed the radius to 0.9. It made me not notice the circle inside VR anymore and gave me some extra performance, which I used to increase the anisotrophic filtering to 16, and MSAA back up to 4x. Now it looks sweet with good performance. (Hoping the GBU-bug is fixed soon).
  22. I just tried it again. I had a little bit of dot nutral help, forgot to switch it off.
  23. I renamed a file to d3d11.dll per the instructions(https://github.com/fholger/vrperfkit/issues/9) Am not sure if it will work with d3d.dll?
