  1. I really hope this behavior can be implemented, because as it is this is one of the most annoying things about using hornet.
  2. Hey, I played the mission again last night and it went without a hitch. I got all the cues to turn back to waypoint 1, the head shut down, and the message war were declared. Not sure what happened the first time, was likely a skill issue!
  3. Thanks for the reply! "This is gunna be hot" was the last message I got. I looked through the forum and as early as a month ago somebody completed the campaign just fine, so maybe I got unlucky. I'll give it another try this weekend and report back.
  4. Howdy! Been enjoying the campaign so far. I sat down to play mission 5, and things were going well until I got the message to intercept and monitor the 8 migs. I reached the migs, flew past them, And they appear to just fly aimlessly forever. One climbed to 50 feet. One dove to the deck. After twenty minjtes, I didn't receive any further dialogue, and eventually just quit the mission. Is there a trigger I might have missed or something I might have done incorrectly up to this point? Would love any input!
  5. I agree this would be fantastic and make JTAC GCI so much easier.
  6. This seems like such an insanely handy feature, someone somewhere must have made a way to do it. A lot of people will use the F10 map to GCI. It's handy, but it can be so annoying to see altitude at a glance. Two contacts you think are about to merge turn out to have 30,000 feet of altitude between them, and you won't know this until you hover and click on each one. I'm thinking something like how on LOTATC you can have altitude displayed as absolute or as flight level by each aircraft icon. Are there any mods out there that show altitude of aircraft on the F10 map? Or anything of the like?
  7. I've submitted this issue to leatherneck's bug tracker as well. https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.io/view.php?id=1177
  8. I'd be really stoked for a more complete weapons list. What models of IR missiles will come at release? Ground weapons? I know all dumb bombs and rockets but specifics would be dope. Maybe an Apache style manual release to tide us over?
  9. A lot of us are rocking the RWR community mod to bypass this feature so I tend to forget about it, sorry. Another cold war platform that has this same issue is the A-10A. You'll often get MiG21 nails, but never a lock warning from a human player.
  10. This is unfortunately not accurate. It impacts every aircraft on the game. See this posters detailed tests: https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/269673-odd-radar-performance-with-27/?do=findComment&comment=4656942 To quote this excellent post, "adversary jet will get a MiG-21 nails indication on his RWR at no more than 12 to 13 miles at the most and the MiG-21 radar nails is always only in search mode. No lock indication on the adversary fighter when the MiG-21 locks the radar on the target adversary. The MiG-21 never becomes a priority threat on the RWR, even at very close range, under 2 miles. In most cases the MiG-21 was able to pick up the adversary jet on his own radar scope before the adversary RWR was showing a MiG-21 nails indication on his RWR. When the MiG-21 closes in and achieves a radar lock, the adversary jet did not get a lock warning. Only launch warning of FOX-1 after the MiG has fired the R-3R. I switched to F-5E and we tested again. The adversary jet picked up the F-5E nails on the RWR at the expected range of aprox 40 - 50 miles, and also reacted with lock indication when the F-5E locked them up. The MiG-21 now has sneaky stealthy radar... and the adversaries do not get any lock indication when the MiG-21 locks up a target in STT."
  11. This is an issue on the PVP side of things, but I didn't see a mention of it in the bug tracker so I thought I'd give it a post! The Fishbed's radar doesn't produce a lock warning on the RWR if any human piloted aircraft in DCS. It does produce a nail when searching, and It even provides a launch warning when firing in R3R. But never a lock warning. The sequence when piloting an F5 or other aircraft in a PVP environment is: MiG flips radar on -> 21 nails appear. MiG locks you -> nails disappear MiG fires an R3R -> Still no nails, launch warning sounds. This may be related to the Fishbed's radar acting like a laser, though this is something I've just heard through the grapevine of discord.
  12. The throttle link is in the post above mine.
  13. The throttle link is incredibly handy, would anybody happen to have a link to the stick links? Specifically the Mongoose CM2? It appears dead but I'd love to put down the controls for aircraft I rarely use.
  14. I have noticed this as well! It also applies to the first attempted pickle in CCIP. The second pickle drops the bombs, but not the first.
  15. Wow, how do you not have one of the main systems of an aircraft functioning properly after five years?
  16. I had no idea a continuous tone on lock/launch should have been a part of the F5, I thought the F5 didn't have it just because of the planes age. Having that feature would be super nice.
  17. Howdy, thanks for the reply! I don't think I've touched my gamma since installing, so I'll give that a try tonight and see how it works.
  18. Howdy! I've been playing a lot with a Quest 2 lately, and just wondering if anybody has noticed something or if it's just me. Is it my imagination or is the canopy directly to the front, where the gunsight is, especially dirty? It's grey and dark to the point where I can barely make out a runway or ground targets If I'm looking directly in front, but if I look out the side it's perfectly fine. It's especially noticeable if the runway is under a cloud or other kind of shadow.
  19. Is it expected for the mission (Mission 2) to have very stormy weather? A video of this mission I found online had extremely clear weather, was this added to the mission after 2.7?
  20. I was hesitant to buy this app for awhile given the price tag relative to other apps, but having used it for a few days it is definitely worth every penny. It's probably the most hassle-free method of getting a control panel onto a mobile device, It's getting very regular updates, and it sounds like the author is extremely active and ready to help with issues. The only things that would make it better is if the MFD's displayed information, but Reading through this thread it sounds like a commonly requested feature so I'm sure it's more complex to add in than other features. I'd also love to have vibrations as feedback when hitting buttons, I think that would make the panels much more satsifying to use. Thanks for your work!
