  1. After the latest updates to the weapons system in the Mirage, I am able to mix various different kinds of air-to-ground munitions with no issues. I was even able to effectively use every weapon in the following loadout: rockets on outer pylons, 4x Mk82 AIR on inner pylons, 4x Mk82 slick (ccrp) on wing root pylons, and GBU-24 (also worked with a Belouga) on center pylon. The manual claims the following, "not possible either to mix different kinds of air-to-ground weapons. Doing so (for instance rockets and bombs, Mk-82s and Belougas etc.) may result in system not being able to handle the configuration and thus not work properly." This was definitely modelled before, i.e not being able to use rockets with bombs loaded and a few other things. I am not sure if this is a bug or if this is a revision to the previous behavior to make it more in line with reality, so posting here instead of bug reports. Trying to use a Super 530 with A/G weapons does result in an error as it should. (I'm hoping this is an update and not a bug, because it's awesome.)
  2. Best strategy I've found for long range use of shturm, Player pilot with Petrovich on the signt: Fly just high enough to spot your target. 250kph. 8-10KM Fly towards it with a 30-40* angle off while arguing with Petrovich about what target you're talking about/getting in spotting range/activating sighs/etc Once you have the target selected for Petrovich, turn towards it while climbing 20-30 degrees. When your airspeed hits 150, level off and line up the cross hairs. Should put you in a nice slow dive towards the target with about 15-20 seconds before you get disentegrated by magic AI. Works very reliably for BMPs, Tanks, AAA emplacements. It is much harder to get the distance just right for a Gepard or other radar AAA, but 60% of the time it works every time. Haven't tried against any IR SAMs yet but I don't see it going too well. If you want Petrovich to fly while you're on the sight... May God have mercy on your soul.
  3. You have to change the control off Mi-24 sim onto the one for the AI menu. The only bind in the actual aircraft binding is to show the menu. Map "hide menu" in the AI section to the same button you use to bring up the Petrovich menu and you're good to go
  4. Since the sight weapon selection for the GSh is "30" it seems likely the ammo counter labelled 30 would be for it.
  5. The R-863 radio has an ADF switch, but I cannot anyway to get it to work. Is this just an example of putting a pre-existing radio in the aircraft and not using all it's functionality? There does not seem to be any way to connect the 863 with the ARK 15 or the U2
  6. More options are always good, but I personally hate the Jester menu and far prefer the simplicity of the Petrovich commands. Obviously a Tomcat RIO has a lot more to do, so you need the complex menu. But I think it would be awful for the Hind. There's really not much to memorize
  7. Omg you're a life saver. This was driving me nuts. I had no idea why the yaw was acting so weird when I'd try to try to return straight and level after a turn. Think I'll just fly without yaw AP til I get the hang of it. My only other chopper is the huey anyway so with pedal trim it's not bad
  8. Huh I didn't even realize that. Saves me some trouble! Makes sense too. Otherwise you'd have to be very specific about the part of the runway you chose IRL which would be super prone to error. Also explains why the QFE has to be right, not using the ALT from the waypoint either. It is nice having some coordinates near to get a good idea of your distance from the airfield though
  9. No, you have to have a waypoint on the runway with the runway heading parameter (CP - Cap Piste) set correctly in order to see the synthetic runway. With the recent nav updates you can now set it from the cockpit instead of relying on having it set in the mission editor which is very cool.
  10. Yup. Thinking about flying the Hind in a server like Blueflag, or any server with a good implementation of CTLD and base capturing is super exciting. Also, IT'S A FREAKING HIND!!
  11. Yeah it's Mission 08. Thanks for looking into it! Nevermind, I'm dumb. Forgot to calibrate my altimeter and was flying the mission at the wrong altitude. Thanks for looking into it! Hopefully you didn't waste much time on my account
  12. Is anyone else having issues with the ELINT mission? I've failed it three different times despite flying the correct ground speed and altitude exactly. Last time my ground speed never went more than +-1 from the briefed value and I was using autopilot altitude hold and still would fail the mission.
  13. Came here for help with this and saw you already fixed it! Thanks! Having a blast with this campaign so far. Great work!
