  1. hey, guys, @Brainfreeze, @fastf1nger i'll update the first page to reflect the changes, however they are minimal and non-impacting. The overall approach is pretty much the same, except for an updated .dll and the .ini files, however the files referenced in the first page still work with the current DCS releases.
  2. make sure you turn off V-sync in Varjo Base with OpenXR, otherwise everything will look super blurry...
  3. thank you for teh info, @Silver_Dragon, I've missed this video, didn't realize there are updates being posted in the roadmap thread. "shortly" - is it, .. 2 weeks shortly, end of June, or end of Summer shortly?
  4. hi, @NineLine, @BIGNEWY, guys can we possibly get an update on the real ETA of the Delayed Fusing for the WWII AC's? It's been 3+ months since the announcement on Feb23, and all wwII fans are impatiently waiting for the actual release of this carrot. I understand there are many modules and bugs your team is fixing, it's a lot of work, and the delayed fusing isn't the core feature of any particular module. But it's so crucial for WWII map/mission simulation that it prevents us from fully enjoying that time era. Mosquito. How can we truly appreciate this beautiful module without its core ability? At least if you gave us the ETA it would prevent me from holding my breath with every OB patch.
  5. no probs, just trying to be helpful! so, the VB app has all that, check out this page to get acquainted with it: https://varjo.com/use-center/get-to-know-your-headset/using-varjo-base/ Also, when you get the HMD join their Discord for any questions/troubleshooting, there's a bunch of rooms, one specific to DCS, another for VB app, etc.. https://discord.gg/spumy8hseA
  6. nope, you can see the base station status inside Varjo Base application (you need to install it, without it Varjo headset won't work). It uses SteamVR service+libraries to get their status and the actual SteamVR app isn't running. When I say the 'app' I mean the small SteamVR window with headset/controller status + ability to get in to its settings. The whole steamVR framework is still running as a service and is accessible. With the openXR mod for DCS when you launch the game there will be a pop-up warning stating that SteamVR is being bypassed (can't remember exactly what it says), just click OK and the game launches as per usual but without SteamVR "app". If you alt-tab out of the game, open Steam application, you'll see that SteamVR status in Steam will say "running", however again, there won't be a SteamVR app running that you can open/click/navigate to/thru. You could probably force launch it, but I don't recommend it as the headset/steamvr will get all screwy.. and it'll either crash or start showing the game in HMD as a 2d application ..
  7. for any consolation, when running OpenXR with Varjo, you won't see the actual SteamVR app running. Varjo software (Varjo Base) simply uses SteamVr's libraries "in the background", i.e. SteamVR service will still run.. just not the front end app
  8. in the tool-kit you have 2 options for resolution control: System tab / Override resolution: Enable overriding the overall OpenXR target resolution <-- you're using this option right now Performance tab / Upscaling: OFF (default), NIS, FSR allows you to reduce the 'size' of the screen, i.e. lower the resolution (you'll see ver/horizontal numbers there) then either NIS or FSR will then upscale it to 100% also allows you to modify the sharpness. I.e, even if you don't reduce the 'size' you can still add sharpness anyway.. https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/
  9. As easy as pressing a button within the OpenComposite: Also, this is the correct link to the instructions on how to get it running:
  10. give OpenXR a try with G2 if you haven't done so yet. Huge bump in smoothness. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/295123-update-155-final-openxr-guide-for-wmr-headsets/ null
  11. where do you see the external tank fuel levels? There isn't a gauge for it anywhere... maybe you're confusing the fuel pressure gauge for the fuel level? null null
  12. Thank you for walking us through how to get that info, this is extremely useful (to me at least!). Now it makes total sense to me why the APIT and BaIT were so ineffective for ground attacks against armored/semi armored targets.. It's AG or go home for all AP related work. -[[ AG ]] {6, 3, 3, 3, 3}, --[[ 3 ]] "Hispano_Mk_II_MKIIZ_AP", --[[ 6 ]] "Hispano_Mk_II_AP/T",
  13. hi, Alan, unfortunately no, I'm still learning the wwii AC's we already have (along with the engagement tactics for each), and it keeps me occupied enough.. .. for now..
  14. if you read the comments they all stopped working sometime in 2020, probably due to the core engine update in DCS. "With the latest DCS 2.5.5 openbeta release, ED dropped support for the older model format which is used by this mod, hence we getting invisible model in game.... I want the zero from this mod to play with the tomcat.."
  15. yeah, the FFB is something I don't have.. btw, I noticed I16 is trimmed to a cruise speed of ~300kmh, it actually needs very little pitch correction if at all, but it does roll to the right a bit and there's no trim for that..
  16. does it happen on ANY hotas button or specifically when using Bodnars buttons?
  17. good call, I've noticed it too during some of my missions. The outer tanks were 80% full while the main tanks had 0% fuel in them. I thought it was my error in something, but I've flown this mission couple more times since then it's the same situation, i.e. the main tanks have 0 fuel in them...
  18. I think if you look in Options->Miscellaneous there's an option to activate ForceFeedback... yeah, sorry I can't be of help anymore Now it's all down to finding the gremlins in your drivers..
  19. yup, I was continuously pressing the button on the bodnar to retract/lower the gear whilst controlling the plane with the joystick. I've got a bunch of junk connected to my computer, i.e.: - vkb gun fighter pro - vkb gladiator - saitek x55 throttle - virpil vpc panel - 2 x bodnars (32 button ones) - PCPanel - Mini (usb), for app volume control.. no stutters.. I've got the MSI x570 Tomahawk wi-fi mobo + 5900x cpu.
  20. hi, @DD_FT so I did some tests yesterday and I got zero delay/stutter with my bodnar's.. First of all I16 is a fun little plane, too bad there's no updated damage model but that's due to the closed SDK per my understanding. The landing gear mechanism is a total circus, just like the rest of the plane. I'm still trying to figure out the logic of the drum brake that has to be in "released/fwd" position to retract the gear but in "closed/aft" position to lower the gear... scratching my head on this one.. As far as my controller test: - assigned a rotary on the VPC panel for gear retract/lower - assigned 2 buttons on one of my bodnars, one for retract, another for lowering operated both the rotary and the buttons (continuing press/push to retract/release) <-- no delays/stutters.. Hotplug was disabled, didn't try it with 'enabled', saw no need for that. Did you get the latest chipset drivers in as well ?
  21. thank you for the update, you comment about the buffer is an interesting one. I will definitely give it a try tonight (last night hadn't worked out that well) with different controllers... Do you have any keyboard-to-joystick virtual button mapping apps running ? (like joy2key)...
  22. so .. 5900x + 3090+3600mhz16cal vs 5800x3D + 3090+3600mhz16cal who wins at VR in DCS?
  23. a-ha.. that might be your smoking gun.. fingers crossed..
