  1. whichever stick you get I recommend to add some curves to the Pitch axis, I run at ~40, some are fine with 10 or less. It gets a lot less twitchy in its pitchy.
  2. yup, indeed it was a throttle lock! Thank you for the suggestion! no idea how it gets activated though, I don't have it assigned to any hotas butons, only the keyboard shortcut was there, so I removed it as well.
  3. alright and I piled on the bandwagon like a responsible netizen. cheers.
  4. that still doesn't explain it. MB = Mega Bytes mb = Mega bits the RAM is already at 16GigaBytes, not 16GigaBits. So actually need to multiply it by 8 to get your GigaBits, i.e. 16x8 = 128GigaBits why am I typing this...
  5. hi, @BIGNEWY, thank you for the hint on the G warm up, it's exciting that we have it in the war birds as well. However, I have couple of questions: 1) how long do we do the G warm up for? I've seen some posts where it's couple of 180 turns at 4G, or a sustained 4G for 20 seconds. 2) how long does the warm up last, i.e. how long after the "warm up the training + dog fight" the warm up goes away? It'd be great if you clarify the above, for all warbird lovers indeed.
  6. yup, indeed. I think this discussion triggered in me a much older topic where people were calling for the true cockpit limits where you can't stick the head in either 2d or VR mode (I'm not a fan of this request if it's not done properly). Anyhoo, all good
  7. it's the limits that are set on the snap view/pilot head axis and lean angles, not the 'cockpit'. In VR I can turn my head 1:1 backwards it'll remain inside the cockpit. If during that movement I also lean towards the cockpit canopy then my head start to stick outside of the cockpit. It's this "leaning" that takes you outside of the cockpit limits. That's what needs to be fixed. In VR I can stick my head through the canopy of any module. There are no cockpit limits configured from that perspective. in any case, it seems to me we're just arguing about the semantics here.
  8. it's a snap view problem, not a cockpit limit problem. Snap view "throws" must be adjusted to the cockpit size.
  9. hmm, possible, I guess. I'll definitely look out for the lock when/if it happens next time. Thank you for the hint!
  10. hi, all, wondering if anyone started to experience a stuck throttle in A8 mid flight. I.e. the throttle lever in the cockpit stops responding to the throttle position (Virpil throttle). The buttons on the throttle still work, the buttons on the base still work, and if I get in to Control Assignments I can see the throttle moves between min/max positions. However in cockpit it's stuck. Can't even move it with a mouse or any other keys... This behavior started pre last update. ??
  11. it definitely works (7th switch), it lights up the yellow bars when it's on.
  12. looking forward to LA7 !! The only thing I worry about is the motor sound design. It's a bit lackluster on i16, hopefully La7 will have a proper sound/loudness/aggressiveness.
  13. ah, finally a cockpit mod that passes the IC check for Anton! Thank you, sir! It looks very nicely done, kudos!
  14. it's been fixed 4-5 months ago, now it illuminates without ground power, in flight, on battery, etc. However, the pitot heating itself does not work in any ww2 model per my understanding.
  15. there's some quirkiness with the Mosquito fuses, specifically the operational side of the bomb panel (i.e. there are separate nose and tail fuse switches on it, and it seems that whichever you select it will arm both the nose and tail fuses on the bomb regardless of which switch you actually engaged) , maybe it's a bug or not fully developed. However, as far as the delayed fuses themselves, they've been implemented and working since 2022 I think, in all ww2 airframes.
  16. DLAA and DLSS due to their upscaling nature screw up the target visibility at far/med distances. If you're using them try switching to MSAA instead. Otherwise it's all a matter of getting used to the scaling used in DCS.
  17. Yeah, the new Dora D9 sounds are freaking awesome. It no longer sounds synthetic and changed to a smooth throaty mechanical action engine! Far Out! Now, let's do the similar kind of sound update for ANTON! It's a bit too buzzy right now and has very little bass..
  18. I think he's talking about stick pumping and lack of 'real' pilot physiology. Yet complains about the flight model of K4. Go figure.
  19. it's great to see the west side fence of Dunkirk being much further away from the landing strip. On the Channel map it's so close to the strip it's a hazard.
  20. yup, I'm with @MBot on Pimax. If you are willing to try it out then purchase it from a local seller (amazon and the likes) in order to avoid months long customer service issues directly with China.
  21. it says "*New model with 4 digital rotary controls*" i.e. it's not analog axis.
  22. those are all excellent questions for ED to answer. hi, @NineLine, can you possibly clarify the above? Is this a bug (since the option to arm nose or tail is only present in Mosquito) ?
  23. you're supposed to use only 1 fuse, either tail or the nose one. Not both. If you're using the nose one then set the tail one as 'plugged' and vice versa.
  24. someone on this forum found a 'work around', such as 1) use the ground crew to drain all fuel to 0%, and remove all ordinance (guns 0%) 2) request repair. Supposedly the bent gear doesn't happen with the reduced weight repair.
