  1. Just had same problem, after 1h30 into mission. I answer with F10 option that no extra explanation is needed, Lotus says "Cool", and that's it, no more dialog. I hope it will be fixed soon. Too bad there is no way to skip long explanation parts. But no matter what, I will finish the campaign, it did learn new things so far and it's fun. Has some bugs, but this one is first blocker that I found. Until it's fixed I could go back to TEW3, I see it also had some fixes.
  2. Yes, some feedback on failed checks would be great, I would know where I fail and what to improve. And I would have nothing against a bit strict scoring. Independence Day was awful, I thought I will fail the mission, as I lost Biff, then found him half a mile in front of me, just after fireworks. Not really close formation flying as needed. But got score 75! Also, in AAR, longest refueling interval was under 10 seconds. Then I messed up ILS landing and landed on 21R instead 21L. But here I got score 100 even if I did poor job on two of mission objectives. I think scoring is very forgiving (at least in some missions). I would replay if I didn't get 100 and I knew what was the reason for failure. On the other hand, some are extremely long missions and would be harsh to be very strict. Just a few more missions and I can give final verdict, but so far I love the campaign!
  3. I was just a click away from buying the campaign now, but just in case went to look into forums. Good that I did, would be waste of money, as I have only A-10CII installed. I hope update is in plan.
  4. I just finished the CA campaign. It's "playable". Some things work great, some not some much, and some are completely broken. Many issues due to AI problems (pathfinding, ignoring assigned targets, using wrong weapons), but also missions have problems. Most annoying are triggers and victory conditions. You damage first wave of helis, they run away and second wave is not triggered, so you have to wait for some time and then you get mission failed, but don't know why (later you see in TacView that AI AA only damaged one heli). Sometimes you kill all enemies that are in area, but nothing happens, there is timer, but it works in strange ways, sometimes not notifying, sometimes notifying every few minutes that you're controlling one of three areas (but you control all). So after waiting 15 minutes you end mission and get randomly success or failure (it feels random). You retry broken missions few times, do what mission description asks you, but fail. Then you click skip mission (did that on just 2). Minor issues are that you must enter mission planner and arm aircraft (you get info for that too late, when mission is already started ). Some aircraft are not armed, some are, some over max weight, you arm 2 groups, but in some missions can call only one. Very confusing, what should player change, what leave as it is... But! The things that do work, work just fine and I had fun in those moments, campaign has nice potential. I don't mind spending $5 on it in sale, if plan is to improve it. I would then replay it. And I would buy training campaign, but I think there is no point in doing it before some core things are fixed in CA.
  5. It seems Mission 2 still has same problem, I failed multiple times as damaged Hinds fly away and next group is not triggered. But now I had case when one from second group escaped, third group did arrive, I destroyed it and nothing happened. Was it due to one escaping earlier or problem with kill not counting? It could be the second, as in events at the end it showed only pilot kill for last one in third group, not crash for Hind (which did hard land in flames and then looked invulnerable).   6. Is it just me or are these missions in 2.7 harder due to bad FLIR image contrast when clouds are present? I did read about it some time ago in forum, now I got back to playing A-10C, thought this was somehow improved... Seems not, I'm failing mission 13 as I spend too much time on searching for targets. I see in old YT videos it was much easier. Now you have to zoom in at exact position to spot something, it seems that before it was less frustrating. Any ideas, except turning on position markings?   7. Made quick try and again problem in second practice mission. Recon Stewart has tank as first target, I got APC. But at location I see nothing, somewhat further are tanks.
  8. It's A-10C II. I did practice few times before the last update and as I can remember, mission was same as in Recon Stewart video. After update I started noticing that difference with one task. Now I have run slow repair on DCS, I don't see any change in campaign files, but I'll let you know if there will be some strange things in next missions. I'll save track in such case, I saved only qualifying mission, not practice.
  9. First part of mission was all fine, very similar to practice mission. Confusion starts with tasks from Hammer: -got JTAC 9-line to attack 3 trucks with guns, I destroyed 2 and get response "target destroyed, new tasking" -got JTAC 9-line to attack moving trucks, but coordinates show same location, remaining stationary truck -when I approached and said "IN", I get response "Abort, Abort, Abort" without a reason. Maybe as I did not attack at required heading? But I also did same earlier, and it was no issue. -after this truck is destroyed, I get tank as tasking and I somehow messed up location, so I visually find 3 tanks and ask Hammer to id contact -first tank "that is not your target", second "that is your target" - I destroy it and get "target not destroyed" -in Recon Stewart this tank was lased by JTAC, I did not get that in 9-line -end of VUL -I request check out, Hammer replies with "You may depart" - what am I supposed to do at this point? -I go to Fence out and get "You exited range without authorization, PO is terminated. Unqualified, mission failed!" -I land at Vaziani, get no feedback at shutdown (maybe I had to use F10 radio?), but when I quit, I got Score 78, Results 60, so I passed. Did not expect that. Are all those DCS issues or maybe mission bug somewhere? In practice mission I had two targets that were supposed to be marked by laser. But only second one was, first I had to lase. But now in qualifying mission I got no target marked with laser.
  10. I made backorder for WarBRD + T-50CM2 grip + mount + extension on July 8th. On 15th order was completed and I received it next day. DHL Express.
  11. There is still wrong text, briefing remarks have note "Leave one GBU-12 on each of the airplanes". But I have only dumb bombs at start. I had big problem with detecting AAA group attacking the city, I ordered wingman to attack and he started bombing forest and getting kills. I zoomed in the spot, switched FLIR/CCD, but I could see only trees (and smoke after bombing). Is this intended to be so hard (impossible?) to spot those targets? Maybe I have to reduce/increase tree details to better see such targets? Or I have to rely on wingman to spot for me. Later in Tacview I saw they made few short bursts towards the city. Should be easier to spot if they would fire more than once every few minutes.
  12. I can't understand wingman, why is he replying with "unable" when I give him orders to attack air defenses? I tried both generic engage and specific, with maverick or bombs... Sometimes he confirms, but few seconds later he says "rejoin" and nothing... I even tried SPI broadcast, also not helping. But in some earlier try it did work, I don't understand why, is there some trigger or is there some DCS thing that I'm missing, some condition needs to be met that he engages? Frustrating, he sees AA targets through the clouds but can't attack. I see videos on youtube that people did the mission using laser guided rockets... How to do it with default loadout?
  13. I also had problems like you describe... first, flight chat was triggered after WP5 and they were discussing how to get to WP4. I guess I was in formation too late, but I never exceeded 280 GS. Anyhow, I got boring mission, nothing happening after WP7. Mostly silence until landing. Only later I saw on YT videos that some action should have happened. But I got only something like "I see smoke on 2 o'clock", no instruction to look for it and press space. I tried to find it but could not. Maybe triggered at wrong time. Had something similar in mission 2, at end was some comment about incident, but nothing happened during flight. I hope I won't mess up next missions.
  14. Just finished the campaign, I love it! Learned a lot about A-10C, also forum was a big help. The only frustrating thing is convoy target in missions, but ok, at least I improved my gun strafing skill. Except the last mission, I gave up on trying with defaults and used cluster bomb, then APKWS which is fun, but not used in any mission. Maybe I'll retry in future when I get better.
  15. I'm glad that someone confirmed this. I skipped that mission and finished all others, going through advanced campaign now. As you wrote, it looks very much as a bug. Maybe I did something wrong, but it's impossible to practice a lot, as you have to go through whole mission to get to that part. And in custom single mission it all works, same as in BFT08 videos from others.
  16. I have same problems, so I went to train on custom mission with hydraulics failures, and I was surprised how much differently it behaves. In BFT08 I managed to bring it under control few times, but at some random time it just starts diving into ground and game over. That never happened in custom mission tests (it's hard but I can land with manual reversion). Also, A-10C manual has this written under preconditions for Manual Reversion Landing: "no ECM pods can be loaded on stations 1 and 11". But this mission has exactly that. Still, I guess it makes no difference, same problem in BFT08 happens if I have empty loadout or default TGP+ECM. EDIT: So, I managed to handle it much better, if oscillations happen, I stabilize,... all looks fine with descend and suddenly plane turns into a brick and can't be recovered. It happens at different speeds, with gear down or up, while adjusting pitch with trim or with stick, with empty loadout or default from mission... I'm out of ideas what more to try. Or, how to produce same failure on custom mission, so I could try it without need to play whole 08 mission.
