  1. stefaanadriansens, unfortunately Vista is no longer a supported OS by many developers and even Microsoft. End of mainstream support was April 10, 2012, and end of extended support was April 11, 2017. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet I reluctantly just went to Windows 10 after a storm took out my PC. I am enjoying it. I don't think ED has any plans to support older operating systems. It is stated on both 1.5 and 2.0 that the minimum OS is Windows 7.
  2. There was an update from Vibora the other day.
  3. Check out the X:\DCS World\Config\terrain folder.
  4. Delete me. Erroneous posting.
  5. Win10 install will want to completely format your C: drive. If you have anything on it that you want to save, I would suggest doing so. If you can handle re-downloading DCS and installing it again (or on a separate drive), I would go for it. You have numerous keys, so I wouldn't worry about that part. You won't exceed the point limit, but you will need the reg keys. I am now on Win10 (reluctantly after some lightning) and all is well after a fresh install and verification. 6. Awesome. Thanks for sharing!
  7. Check out \CoreMods\aircraft\SA342\SA342.lua. It has three sections (one for each Gazelle version) named panelRadio that pertain to the default FM channel presets.
  8. Here are the correct paths for the North Carolina mod: C:\Users\Chump\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Mods\tech\WWII NorthCarolina C:\Users\Chump\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Sounds\Sounders\GroundUnits\WeaponSystem\Navy C:\Users\Chump\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Sounds\Sounders\GroundUnits\WeaponSystem\Tools We're getting you there! You will find that this way of doing things is much easier (in my opinion) than tinkering with the actual main DCS directory.
  9. @Demon_Den, you don't need to transfer the mods to your main mods folder from Saved Games. You can just leave them in Saved Games and DCS will pick them up. For example, I have the DC3 installed at C:\Users\Chump\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Mods\aircraft\Douglas DC3. I hope this helps clear up some confusion. I think you are unnecessarily copying files that you do not need to be. The only files that need to be installed in the main DCS folder(s) are ones that overwrite existing files, or new cockpits, for example. Add-on mods such as DC3, Cruise Ship, etc. can reside safely in your Saved Games folder under the DCS version that you want to use. Certain mods go in aircraft, and certain mods go in the tech directory under Mods. Please ensure that you are using the correct one for the mod that you are trying to get working. There is also a way to reduce the redundancy of files in the Saved Games folder if you have multiple DCS versions installed, as I do (three at current count). I would like to make you aware of this, but let's get your DC3 working first before we do anything crazy!
  10. BodyOrgan, make sure that you follow the instructions that Devrim provides in the archive. You will need to copy some files to the M and Mistral versions to make it work (a handly .bat file is even included to do this for you).
  11. neetz, I got around this by going into Device Manager, finding all of my USB Root Hubs and disabling the power management (Properties -> Power Management tab -> uncheck Allow the computer the turn off this device to save power).
  12. Thank you, Pat!
  13. Ensure that you are entering the helo after it has been fully started.
  14. Does your Saved Games folder look similar to this? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3215163&postcount=10 The whole new "thing" is that all add-on air/ground units (anything with an entry.lua) will need to be placed in your Saved Games directory structure. This is how I understand it, and this is how I got everything working again.
  15. You can modify where SweetFX/ReShade saves the screenshots to either in the in-game GUI or the dxgi.ini file (ScreenshotPath variable). Don't know if this will help anyone out or not, but wanted to throw it out there.
  16. Awesome concept! Thanks for the hard work put into this. :)

    Civilian planes

Wow, these are great! Keep up the fantastic work! Frontier has some cool artwork also...
  18. Okay, you got me on that one. It did not work for me, unless it was very, very faint; it was not obvious. I am wondering if maybe ED changed the way that the DDS/transparency works. I know that various changes have been showing up in DCS 1.5.x lately from 2.1.x. It would be great if someone that had some image experience could take a look at this. I am a coder, not a graphics person by trade. I wish I could help further, but this one seems out of my realm. :)
  19. I just quickly tested the AGM-65D (via the Encyclopedia to verify color change) from 476th-Weapon Repaint mod on DCS 1.5.7. It worked fine using the directory structure in the original file. DCS World Bazar World Shapes tgm-65h.edm textures A-10_Weapons agm_65d_n.bmp.dds etc. Please verify that your JSGME zip file is correct. Since I do not use JSGME, I am unable to help you there. Maybe someone else can upload their working zip?
  20. I just updated to ReShade v3.0.8.183 without issues (even using previous settings). My simplified X:/DCS World/bin directory looks like: DCS World bin reshade-shaders Shaders Textures dxgi.dll dxgi.ini Reshade.ini (my profile)There was no need to mess with Saved Games for this one, as it goes directly into the /bin folder. I noticed that DCS doesn't even see these files for a cleanup, and it doesn't even seem to care as far as the IC is concerned (if you want to do multiplayer). If you are using the ReShade executable for the install, just point it at X:\DCS World\bin\DCS.exe and select the DX10 option. It will install what it needs. Fire up DCS afterwards and you should see the ReShade banner during load. If you are installing it manually, just drop the files into X:\DCS World\bin.
  21. All of the mods that you listed are simple tweaks to the existing files, not new planes/vehicles. If you are not concerned about the IC yelling at you, they should all still work using the old method of placing them into the main DCS directory using your favorite method (JSGME, OvGME, manual). What version of DCS are you not able to get these working for you?
  22. My X:\Users\Chump\Saved Games directory structure (simplified): Saved Games DCS Config Kneeboard Mods aircraft [additional airframe mods] B2 Douglas DC3 [etc.] tech [additional tech/ground mods] 476 Range Targets Cruise Ship german shepard V1 [etc.] Screenshots TracksAll of my other mods (cockpits, LUA tweaks, etc.) go in the normal DCS directories via OvGME. My custom liveries are loaded via an entry.lua in Saved Games pointing to another drive external to any DCS folders. I'm also using symbolic links to minimize redundancy in Saved Games across the three DCS versions. I hope that this helps. If not, I'd be glad to clarify anything. What is it exactly (what mod) that y'all are having issues with if you don't mind me asking?
  23. @panther494th, it will be under the DCS folder of the game version that you are using (DCS, DCS.openbeta, or DCS.openalpha). If it is not there, simply create a folder named Mods and use that.

    Radio Effect

@Piston85, maybe something like this? https://clownfish-translator.com/voicechanger/ (using the Radio effect) I do not VOIP in the only Discord channel that I ever use, so I do not know how useful this program will be to you. Just a suggestion after a quick Google search. I'm afraid that is about as much help as I can be. I will bow out and let someone with more Discord knowledge (or knowledge of mic input/output software) chime in. I hope that you find what you are looking for.

You did not specify what you are currently using to communicate. There is a TeamSpeak plugin called RadioFX @ https://www.myteamspeak.com/addons/f2e04859-d0db-489b-a781-19c2fab29def
