  1. I've now reinstalled again, I've placed my mission folder in the dedicated server folder, and still nothing, just an empty folder that can't go out of when I try and load a mission in the dedicated server GUI
  2. If i rename the folder, which is called "DCS.dcs_serverrelease" then it just makes another empty folder called DCS.dcs_serverrelease and requite I relog in. If I move the files and folders from the orignal openbeta folder, it the DCS.dcs_serverrelease folder, nothing happens
  3. I think it's related to my server being open beta, but now, there is no open beta, I've been able to move my open beta saved games stuff into the folder the new install uses, now it see the last mission I had in the server, however I can't start the mission, and if I click on the add mission, I still just get an empty space, with no ability to click out of it to find other folders.
  4. I'll see what I can check tomorrow. Thanks for the help so far
  5. TES IV uses the same engine as Morrowind. So we are over 20 years back in time now. It's been modified a lot over the year. But in this case. Time has probably caught up. Starfield had many problems. But one them was obviously that the engine is simply to dated. Leading to all kinda trouble. It might be the engine just can't be used anymore. Or simply Bethesda incompetence(all their games are terribly made) A better example would be the unreal engines. Unreal 5 still has code from at least unreal 3 or even older. And Unreal 5 is a fantastic engine. Including built in VR support. So as i said sometimes using a 2 decade old engine is bad. Sometimes it doesn't matter. It all depends on how maleable the engine is for upgrade. And the quality of the coders.
  6. I moved it with properties, location, move location, it worked perfectly fine for the DCS install itself. As far as I know I used the same account.
  7. Many games with a huge budgets still use the same engine they did 20 years ago. Sometimes it doesn't matter sometimes it does.
  8. I got myself a 4TB M2 drive. I moved my DCS to that, as well as both DCS and DCS dedicated server folders in "saved games" I didn't find a way to move that actual dedicated server install, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it with all the maps. This drive is only for DCS, so it has DCS install, DCS dedicated server install and the saved games folders for both games. However when I run the dedicated server and start the web GUI, I had to log in again, and none of my server settings were saved, which hint at that the program doesn't have access to it's folder in the Saved games folder. I also can't select a mission, usually I open the mission selector and click out of the dedicated server folder and into my DCS folder to select a mission from there, however it doesn't a appear that the server program has access to anything, as it's just an empty folder that I can't click out of. Not sure how to fix this, it doesn't appear to have made a new folder when installed even.
  9. I wholeheartedly agree to this.
  10. I love Kola, the rapid fire improvement and additions is a new standard for DCS. And the F4 is a amazing. And the big surprise was the Kiowa, well made. And finally a Helicopter that doesn't kill you out of spite when you go in for a landing. I was personally very disappointed by Afghanistan, but Iraq looks quite good. And they have spent a long time on the next Afghanistan update. So I'm hopeful that Afghanistan will become very good in 2025.
  11. Well deserved rest i say.
  12. Seems like it, I know reflected often has to change frequencies on his campaigns as they keep changing.
  13. Like in the F-15E, when you pull the trigger or hit the pickle button, the thumb moves and the buttons presses.
  14. Latests? As far as I know bomb and aircraft impact effects have been the same for many years. Except for the free moving from the force that was added a year or so back.
  15. Working on something 8mb.video-qPs-CPTYi5xd.mp4
  16. Testing out the new F-16 flight modeling during a rainy day.
  17. Lets just get troops in the back. And them going in and out animations first.
  18. And it's done So this is probably my most successful mission in a cold war jet. In a single F-5, in the span of 2 minutes, I took out all radars and several launchers of a SA-2 battery with 2 snake eyes, and crippled the offensive air capabilities of the soviet base by destroying 4 MiG21s and severely damaging 4 more with a single rocket pass, with the bonus of damaging an IL-76 and a Hind. The AAA didn’t even have a chance at firing off rounds. Added time stamps so you can go directly to the action.
  19. Except in real life "enough lead in the air" would usually be at least half a dozen zu23s. Not a single one. Except when one is placed exactly were they know you'll fly(like when placed at the end of the runway and you know the Tornado has fly down the runway to take it out)
  20. Trust me, if a Shilka or Zu-23 sends a volley of 23mm after you. You'll see the tracers go past your cockpit (unless they hit you, which the hand cracked zu23 is surprisingly/unrealistically good at.)
  21. You can definitely see the tracers. Especially for those fast shooting 23mm. Sightly harder to see those 57mm
  22. I've gotten surprisingly many good hits with dumb bombs in cold war aircraft of late. 8mb.video-PqL-u8RgzSrz.mp4
  23. I can hopefully finish it up early next week. Lots of family stuff this time a year and wife's birthday on Tuesday.
