Locally hosted server, clients connect but are stuck loading
Jel replied to Jel's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Hm, both TCP and UDP are open, all fine here. Interesting thing is that it seems to work again since yesterday. I haven´t done anything on my side, nor does my router have had any update or reset. Weird but ok for me If i see this happening again, i´ll make sure to get a clients´log for you. -

And what does this have in common with the posted issue above ? -
Locally hosted server, clients connect but are stuck loading
Jel replied to Jel's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
The server is not paused, mission is already resumed. -
Been running a local server (online, public server) for some years now, since today i´ve realized an issue i don´t yet understand: The clients can connect to my server but then just won´t load anything. All clients got the same issue: Server connection established, loading screen appears with "loading", then nothing else happens - not even the progress bar showing. The SRS does connect for every client, as host i also see the clients connecting to the DCS server itself (chat message "player xyz connected"). I´ve checked and double-checked ports and local network settings such as firewall etc. All fine and unchanged. The issue does clearly point towards an issue with my server (local machine hosting a MP map) but i can´t yet see what might be wrong. Any ideas ? Version: Latest Stable 2.7.18.30765, DCS Standalone, no mods.

Not seeing an upgrade option even with ownership of Black Shark 2
Jel replied to elmo's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark 3
As it seems, the Upgrade works only on the platform you bought BS2 with. So sad. -

Bought BS2 on steam, migrated to standalone and now also seeing 69,99 for BlackShark3. That´s so weird. Now i read that those dudes tell us to "buy the upgrade from the same place we bought bs2 from". Are you serious ? Forcing ppl to go back to steam is kind of not what i would expect here... -

How to explain it short without repeating the whole manual, pages 168-171... Using Tacan, your radio indeed doesn´t matter at all. You should, however, dial the radio freq. of the airfield you´re planning to go - in order to communicate. But for navigation purpose alone, you don´t need to dial any special channel here, also the ADF switch - which as ADF is a navigation method of its own - is just irrelevant for Tacan Navigation. Press TCN on your UFC once, then press the ON/OFF button once to power it. (UFC shows "ON") Dialing your TCN channels now should give you the corresponding information on your HSI, give you are a) in range of the signal and b) not behind any obstacle making you unable to receive the TCN signal. I´m not going into detail here but i think that´s quite what you wanted to know

cannot reproduce and missing track file No FLIR option on DDI
Jel replied to HoneyViper's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
just after finishing laughing, i realized how valid this question is. -

placing the spitfire for "start on ground" usually works pretty well on every map. As it seems except Caucasus. Here, every spitfire i place as client to start from a ground position cannot be entered. Instead when selected, you see the cockpit for some seconds, then you get swung out in external view of the next plane. Looking at the map, spitfire is standing where it should be, you can select external view F2 again but still can´t enter it with F1. Placing the plane on any parking position works fine, it´s only the start from ground having these issues and as far as i can see just the spitfire. Did several tests with FW190a/d, BF109, P47, P51, Mosquito, all fine. Anyone else seeing this ? Every other map i use is fine: Nevada, Syria, Channel, SouthAtlantic, Mariana, PGulf, etc. no issues here.

After landing and taxi, i´m sitting there for around a minute until i got refueled. During taxi all is still fine, issues start right after refueling when i try to taxi to the runway again. I´ll try to remember to record a track...
-
I´d certainly agree if i would be standing a long time with low rpm. But the refueling takes literally seconds, not minutes. No plug should fail in such a short time.

Weshalb also würde man das beim Supercarrier integrieren wollen ?
-
If only DCS would actually simulate that kind of stuff i´d be stunned...

Generator: Checked, ON Yes i´m avoiding rpms between 700 - 1100, you can easily tell from the vibrations the Anton won´t like those very much.
-
I noticed on some occasions, having landed, rearmed, refueled and trying to takeoff again, i won´t get any power out of the Anton. Throttle - moves fine but ata sticks at 10 and rpm won´t climb above 15. Engine also spitting like a lama on drugs. Checking: circuit breakers - all set (on) Fuel - fine. tanks full, pumps working. oil - fine. pressure ok+stable, temp @around +- 50/60°) electrics - fine. ground power disconnected. rpm selector - back on auto cooling flaps - open Ordered Ground Crew to repair - finished - same result. So i wondered what am i missing ? It´s bee a while since i last really worked on the Anton and i just got some 2 or 3 hours in again. Anything i might have overlooked ?

Can we disable the F10 map for, let´s say, a specified flight group ?
-
So after some experimenting in Multiplayer we found that, as soon as more than 1 F18 is trying to land CaseIII, at least one or even neither of us gets a proper ACLS lock. There´s an "ACL Ready" but only with T/C and no Mode1 indication, meaning you can couple up but get CPL HDG only instead of the desired P/R. On some instances, the other F18 doesn´t even get ANY data on the ACL page during the marshall stack, despite having set up Link4 correctly and doing everything identical as the rest of the flight. Flying alone, all is fine. 10 approaches and 10 times perfectly locked ACLS with hands-free touchdown. As soon as 1 buddy joings the Hornets, issue as above begin. Had this popping up during the past months on several maps, marianna, caucasus, syria. Different clients, different hosts. Anyone else experiencing this ?

Still looking for the icons to make my own profile. I really don´t want to screenshot every single one

AH64D (Pilot) Steuerungsoptionen: 1.

That might explain why older airframes like the Huey are very much able to do what newer ones can´t I´m familiar with rl operation, just wondering if there wasn´t any hidden feature i might have overlooked for the DCS AH64. Thanks for the details.
-
So i noticed the AH64 can decently find emitters between 100 and 2199.5 KHZ. Is this all the bird offers in order to find, for example, own troops ? Any way of UHF homing ? FM band ?
