  1. Huh who would have thought I’ll close this up then
  2. Interesting if thats how they are suppose to be. Seem backwards
  3. The trim tab should move the same direction as elevator inputs shouldn’t they? If the the trim tab move upwards it would force the tail down, just like giving elevator input, causing the nose to go up. On the ailerons the trim tabs move the same direction as the aileron input to trim in that direction.. if you roll left, the left aileron moves up, right moves down. When you trim left, left trim tab moves up, right moves down on the model
  4. When viewing aircraft from external view, using trim nose up causes the trim tabs( visually)on aircraft to move downwards. When trimming nose down, trim tabs move up. The function is correct in the game (trim pitch up causes nose to go up, trim down goes down) but the physical trim tabs move the wrong direction on the aircraft model. I have a track if needed but it doesn’t exactly show me pressing the elevator trim buttons I have bound.
  5. Easy fix adjusting a couple Lua files manually (IC breakers of course) .. maybe not so easy to incorporate into the game. A slider would be nice. But it also affects exported displays as well. Whole lot to think about. Probably goes hand in hand with spotting dots and external mfd brightness. UI layer revamp which BN mentioned is not such an easy task with so many things tied to it. Hopefully it at least gets considered
  6. Odd I dont have that on as far as I know.. I never had it on in OTT and I don’t think it’s a native setting in the oculus app…. I will check the oculus debugger and see what it says.. good point though .. I went over my nvidia settings and didn’t see anything like that in there but I’ll double check everything
  7. Just curious what an “acceptable” or “ideal” frame time is in dcs VR. I’ll start by saying I’m NOT a die hard VR guy. I got a quest 3 and am quite impressed with it over the quest 2. Being able to look around with my eyes in the screen and read everything is a awesome change! Up close graphics and cockpit detail are really really good, like other VR I’ve tried, that diminishes the farther things are in the distance, but thats besides the point. No matter the settings I try my frame time is always right about 22. Whether I try dcs on all low settings with the headset in 72hz and 1.0 density( in oculus app) or dcs cranked up all the way with HMD on 90hz with density at 1.5x. It doesn’t seem to make any difference. Gameplay feels fine in both ( trying not to nitpick fps). On the highest of high settings looking sideways low to the ground I get some stuttering when rolling the jet, but looking around with the HMD is very smooth. Its been a while since I used the Quest 2 with it( which I have since sold) but I swear I remember frametimes being more like 11. I get 11 in the menus but in game it always 22. The frame time never drops or deviates. Using OTT with my settings from the Q2 doesn’t seem to make any difference at all. Should I really try to chase it down, or be happy that it’s at least a stable 22. Single player free flight or multiplayer on 4ya for example changes nothing. Curious to hear peoples opinions on frametime.. System setup in my signature… Running on OB MT
  8. Yup No prob. Took me a bit to figure that out too
  9. Hold the waypoint step/cycle button ( hotas command/ keybind) for over 1 second and up on the left side of the ufc it will give options of what points you want displayed on the ehsd , waypoints, target points etc. this is also how you return to waypoints after shooting/ rippling your targets in TP mode, or returning to wpts after the jet designating something as tgt0, for gbu-38 or whatever.
  10. The whole section on A/A radar… Wonder if such complexities will also be transferred to ground based radars/ SAMS etc in the future. Sounds interesting, love the fact that systems are becoming that in-depth.
  11. — New small update/patch once or twice a month… People: that was a weak patch, where’s this and this and that — New huge comprehensive update/ patch every two months… People: that took way to long, this better not be how it is from now on … Jokes aside. I’m happy ED cares enough to continually update/ patch/ bring more new features more frequently than any other game in history (opinion, no supporting data)… and allow people mod it to their hearts content. In my very novice/ limited experience with anything code related, its hard enough to even get a gauge in one of these aircraft to function. It’s mind blowing to me that they do what they do on such a massive scale. The delayed release for MT was worth the extra wait. I’m sure this will be no different. Forget DLSS, datalinks and all that. Its worth it if the AI will actually behave like they’re supposed to and do what they’re told! Can you imagine… Landing in formation with your ai wingman and they’re not bobbing up and down right off your wingtip like they’re hitting doubles on a MX track?!?! Or ejecting the second they hit bingo fuel?!?!
  12. Just posted in another thread.. just found that they added controls to the special options menu for the harrier so you can set the defaults where you want them to be
  13. @Gunnar81 @Xtorris just watched a video from 8/27… Seems they did change the default gain and brightness but also added sliders in the special options menu for the harrier to set the defaults where you want lol Had no idea, been a while since I hopped in the harrier
  14. I I didn’t notice it either. A member on discord noticed that when the low fuel warning came on that the Nuclear Warning indicator showed in the wso seat lol The whole bottom row of bindings were off by one. All good now though
  15. New version out, WSO Caution Panel Fix
  16. New version out. Fix for WSO Caution Panel
  17. I agree, the default brightness/ gamma is way too dark on the tpod view.
  18. Maybe DLSS, maybe Ai revamp, maybe dynamic weather, new ATC, MT as the only exe, DC preview, maybe none of the above I would also venture a reasonable guess that MT will be out of its “preview” state as well. But always hoping for something unexpected! I think DCS 3.0 will be the wait everyone is really hoping for.
  19. I’m baffled too, that there is no P-38 Lightning. I would love to have this!
  20. You know, I have no idea lol There is a kneeboard item in the toolbox, however its not for the in-game kneeboard, it is to make your own( like CaptnZeens maps), which after looking through his would take almost as much work as creating an entire profile lol. That would be REALLY cool to be able to have the in-game kneeboard on its own panel! I’m honestly not sure on the controls indicator, I’ve never used it so I didn’t even consider looking into it. My guess is, though, since both of those are part of the UI layer in dcs that it would have to have specific patches written for them and added to helios the same way viewports are, then the profile would need to be made strategically with sections that could hide because viewports only run on the main monitor layer behind all of the objects. Another factor is, those items may not even have the ability to export from dcs. Kneeboard size and position is really bad with multi-screens and from posts I’ve read, its not very easy to do any workaround. I will mention it to Bluefin and see what his thoughts are on it. Maybe there is a way that I don’t know about. I’m far from an expert, I just cut out pictures from 300, or so, screenshots and used the tools given in helios lol I’m so dumb when it comes to the real technical side
  21. I only started using helios a couple years ago. I love it! From what I gather, since the implementation of helios 1.6 things have gotten much more streamlined. BlueFin is great at keeping it running smoothly and adding new features. It can do far more than I’m capable if making it do. The plug-ins will work out good I think. I’m not sure how rocky the transition will be when all other modules are converted to plugins, but knowing Bluefin, it should be pretty easy.
  22. Not a problem! Its thrown a few people off. The idea being, going forward is that the plugin system will let people install just the modules they have, so helios isn’t loaded down with a bunch of unnecessary aircraft parts/ patches etc. that don’t apply to them. Bluefin has wanted to do it for a while and as the f-15 interface was being finished up, it was playing hell with the helios installer for some unknown reason so he said okay now is the time to separate them. Glad you got it running! Hope it lives up to expectations!
  23. Yup you will rarely catch it running full bore. Usually it will only boost for a few seconds if it needs it here and there. I thought the same when I finally upgraded mine too…. Wait a minute it only runs at 15%?!?! .. Doing 3d rendering, rendering videos/ movies and things like that, you will prob see some pretty high clock speeds though… BTW I just saw a video of yours about how you think about and make campaigns. Very impressed at your thought process and thoroughness. I’m usually not a campaign kind of guy but after seeing that video, I bought all of yours that you have out
  24. Captnzeen Discord will get you the most info and help. If you use discord https://discord.gg/6NRKjGuA …If not, I’m still happy to help on here. or my discord for the profile. https://discord.gg/uU2xMAba
