  1. Those images are built into the F-15E plugin for helios. Go to the Helios download link I provided. Make sure you have version 1.6.602 installed. There is also a plugin installer download for the F-15E. Make sure it installs into the helios root directory, NOT into c:/Documents/Helios ( where profiles and images are stored). It will go into c:/ Program Files/Helios Virtual Cockpit, for example, if you used the default directory for Helios. The plugin system is new and will take some getting used to. But it helps Bluefin a lot on the backend to keep Helios updates and installers separated from module information. https://github.com/HeliosVirtualCockpit/Helios/releases/latest You will know if you installed the plugin correctly, if you go to “add remove programs” in windows, it will show up as a separate software right under helios. In the first couple minutes of Bluefins video here, he runs through installing the plugin
  2. They said they're taking questions for two weeks ( irony at its best). I would assume they are filtering through them as they come and at the end of the questioning period they will start rolling out answers. Not sure it was meant to be in “real time”. Just hazarding a guess.
  3. The CPU will only run as fast as it needs too. What it is most likely telling you is that your CPU isn’t actually working that hard. I have my ASUS AI Overclock on that claims 6.1Ghz but I’ve never seen it actually run close to that. Chances are those high numbers are just performance metrics saying the CPU COULD boost that high if it needs to. Under normal operation, you usually won’t see those high numbers…. Now that being said, on the other hand the CPU will throttle its speeds if the temperature gets too high, to protect itself. It would be a good idea to monitor the temp under load too, just for piece of mind. Temperature can be a big player in performance, if the CPU and GPU start to throttle. On a side note: Curious why you set 24gig pagefile and not 32 gig? I’ve always seen NL, BN, Special K and others recommend a 32 gig page file. Honestly I don’t know if it makes that much difference. I’m actually curious for my own knowledge why you picked 24, because I don’t know any better. To add to my above comment. Your new cpu has more cores and threads to spread out the load. It doesn’t always need to run super high speeds to accomplish the same amount of work as a cpu with less cores would. When I’m playing DCS MT even on a heavy Liberation mission I rarely see my CPU run over 20% once everything is loaded up and running on i7-13700k cpu.
  4. No Its its own software to go along with open track.. technically still in "alpha". https://github.com/AIRLegend/aitrack
  5. Yes they are.
  6. AI track is just a free head/ face tracking software works with opentrack. Trackir alternative
  7. I agree a 60fps webcam will do just fine. I only had a 30 sitting around and I knew it wouldn’t work as well as I wanted. But the concept is all very promising. I don’t mind having the head tracker unit on my headphones ( I use a 3d printed wireless one) because I always have my headphones on no matter what game I’m playing. But if anyone is looking for a head tracking solution without a track IR type of system, a 60 fps webcam and AI track should do well enough.
  8. AI track just tracks your face, no headset needed, but the webcam you use can be a limiting factor. If its only capable of 30fps, then you will end up in the same boat, with jumpy/ delayed movements( compared to a powered headset and a ps3 eye or trackir camera). Before using trackir I actually had better performance with tracknoir over opentrack, but that was quite a few years ago. Things may have changed a lot. I’m sure the system its on and how much time you spend tuning it can vary performance quite a bit too. Open track and AI track are free so its worth a shot for sure
  9. Ah yes, the legal side. That makes sense. They would need to be a bit more cautious I suppose with aircraft and military vehicles. Probably not so much with generic structures and scenery. It was just a thought, no harm done
  10. I always wondered why ED doesn’t let/ have 3rd parties develop asset packs for the game ( maybe they do in a way). Payware or not. I have a couple mod packs, Military asset mod, civilian asset mod, and one for ships( can’t think of the name) and they are great when you see them in action. It really brings more life into the DCS World. Considering what it probably costs ED to pay their developers to make these, why not offer the people that make these free ones some money to buy their asset pack(s) and officially merge them into the game? I mean they work just fine in the game. Seems like a win win. There’s thousands of static and AI objects that could be added. All sorts of military and civilian vehicles, aircraft replicas, structures, even just hay bales, sandbags, fuel tanks, different fences, even piles of dirt or rubble from construction. Anything and everything to flesh out the world more. Even if they are just fillers. Customers are happy to get more assets in the core game that aren’t considered “mods”, Campaign/ mission makers have a huge variety of things to choose from, the people developing them get paid something for them, and it would probably cost ED less than having one of their own developers sit there and create them. Not my business of course, but subcontracting that kind of thing seems like a relatively cheap way to add a lot of detail to the game that many people want.
  11. All good! Let me know if you like it, or of you think it sucks, either way.
  12. @MAXsenna Go to the profile menu, then hit “reset monitors”, use the drop downs to put the info from monitor 1 on to Monitor 2(or whichever your helios monitor is). Did you make sure to download the new helios version AND the f-15 plugin too? The profile won’t work without them. The plugin system is a new change taking place for helios. Let me know if you have issues. I’m happy to assist, on here or Discord. Here in a couple days I’m releasing a new version, to complete a few functions, a couple bugs, and minor additions. I will let everyone know when it comes out the best I can. It should be the only revision I do unless RB adds more features and functions that need addressed.
  13. I think some of that “complaining” stems from people seeing entire new AAA games costing the same as one aircraft in DCS. Blows some peoples minds. Or, why is the Hornet in DCS $80 usd and the one in FS2020 is only $15 ( or whatever it is). Maybe only applies to newcomers, who don’t realize it takes longer to make one DCS aircraft than it does to re-skin COD every year. I try to judge the price by the amount of fun I have for the money. Here in the US people blow a lot of money on crap. Pack of cigarettes a day, thats a new module you could have bought in less than two weeks. Then some overpriced snacks while you're standing in line at the gas station to get smokes.. well there’s two modules you could have had in a month. McDonalds once a day for a week, there’s another one. Anyone ever gone to a casino?? I know I’ve blown through several modules worth of money in a matter of hours, plus drinks food, gas, hotel etc. Point being, IMO they are well worth the price. BUT I can wholeheartedly empathize with people from other countries, Turkey, Brazil etc, where that $80 usd module could be your apartment rent/ mortgage for a month, or an entire month wage for some. Now that being said, there is a healthy chunk of people who just piss and moan about everything, just because they can, justified or not. A gal the other day rolled into a storage facility I was doing some camera upgrades to in a brand new AMG SL55. Dressed like she’s made of gold. Proceeds to come in, just to chew out the manager and complain about her $65/ month storage unit price, then leftSome people just can’t help it
  14. Instead of forcing refresh to 60, In nvidia control panel try actually limiting the fps( if you havent). I cap mine, oddly enough at 61fps. Leaving my monitor at 120hz in windows. HAGS off in Win11. I turn v-sync on in nvidia and triple buffering so v-sync gets one extra frame queue. Negative LOD set to clamp, power setting to max performance, Nvidia low latency mode to off( believe it or not). That gives me as smooth of trackir movement as I can get. I do still get the little micro stutters when rolling the aircraft and looking sideways now and then. With Trackir at least, it seems that if you can keep 120fps all the time, things are very smooth, but anything between 60-120 especially in the mid 80’s/90/s seems to be the worst. Its a real pain to try to get rid of. Its got to be something with the way dcs processes everything. 60fps may not sound fun when your pc has the ability to go higher, but I just see it as giving it overhead to crank the graphics up and still give it some breathing room
  15. Thank you! Keep an eye out, I’m going to add a couple things that were requested (already have them on mine) this weekend and maybe push it tomorrow or sometime this weekend. Just adding scroll buttons for the kneeboard and possibly adding CaptnZeens airfield charts in and an extra button for the maps, for those that want to use them. Please let me know if you find anything thats not working right ( minus the known issues from the release notes).

  18. I will 100% side with this. More and more servers are starting to adopt the pure scripts option ( I understand why its there) but its also alienating many of us honest users who just have exported displays. Whether that be basic mfd exports, Helios users, or full blown home cockpits.Or in my case ( on top of exported displays, I have to edit my HUD lua files since I use a 5120x1440 monitor, and lack of widescreen(High res?), support makes HUD lines and text fat and fuzzy, not clean and crips like on a 1080p display, kind of counter intuitive. The rest of the game looks great, but not HUD’s, HMD’s and sometimes exported displays are almost unusable without modifying stroke thickness and fuzziness. Sad that it has come to this.
  19. Now that is an update! Load times for me seem much improved. Getting some odd light/ shadow flickering on SA map…I need to test a bit more before reporting anything. Cant wait to try out Syria. Thanks ED, Great job!
  20. I’ve always run a 1440 monitor, ultrawide now (5120x1440, even worse support for everything DCS) and I’ve never seen an aircraft “spot” until the plane actually starts rendering. I thought thats just how it was until I saw the uproar about it and switched dcs over to my 1080p monitor for fun. Now that in itself feels like cheating, being able to see black blobs all over the screen for aircraft in the distance, in comparison to my dcs lifetime experienceI suppose the size of screen plays an important role too. A 4K 27” screen would be much, much harder to see( spotting) than a 65” 4K just due to sheer pixel size. Seems like its definitely not a quick easy fix. The Mod- Great idea. Abusable? Most likely. As said before, that sad fact is ED has a bad habit of starting things, then starting something else, then another thing. A lot of things get left on the shelf and never fixed or finished. The “New” FLIR for example. I like the direction they headed with it, almost complete( assuming). Then when there were a few models/objects/vehicles to finish up rendering properly, they seem to have moved on and haven’t touched on it for a year or more. Baffling at times, but doesn’t stop me from playing almost daily.
  21. Yes very inconvenient since there are no mavericks or anything else to use on moving targets. Aside from lobbing mk82’s and hoping your in-flight calculus is on point lol
  22. See now I have to test these theories to put my mind at ease Using TDC depress in this case should really only be to tell the tgp that it is now the SPI ( in a-10 terms) that the jet will get target designations from. When bombing a static target, that point where it was pressed IS your target point. When using CDES, once the point track is established, the TGP will infinitely designate the target being tracked as long as there is no more input from the TDC. The initial pressing of the TDC should only be relevant to switch the TGP to SPI so the jet is getting its target designations from it, not NAV, HUD, RDR or other sensor(shown under osb 17). If your TGP is already set as “SPI” then there should be no need to press the TDC for concurrent attacks (on moving targets) just attain a point track with CDES boxed and bomb away. Maybe I’m totally wrong, Maybe it is bugged, but I haven’t had any issues using it on ships. Maybe I just got lucky I’ll report back as well if I come up with anything useful.
  23. Awesome, I’ll take it! I don’t mind mirrors on, I actually wish they were higher res than they are when they’re on. But they’re not, so off it is. ( not an f-15 issue, all modules in general issue)
  24. I would have to agree here. I’ve only ever used open beta, and I’ve never found it game breaking or inherently buggy. The major issues get squashed quickly, but I’ve never in years, ever deemed it in an unplayable state. I always wondered why there were even two branches. I would agree that the majority of bug reports seem confined to a small percentage. I read a lot of them and very rarely have I ever encountered 99% of them. I don’t really VR either, so consider that excluded
