"Official" F-4E Livery Discussion
JOYFUL_CLOVR replied to LanceCriminal86's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
I'd love to see some JASDF liveries even though we are getting a US version (like how the f16 has the JASDF blue liveries in game). -
Hoping for the Eurofighter to show up.

If it doesn't show up this year you can always blame Putin. -

The second one definitely, not sure about the 1st.

Here is the video I previously mentioned: Skip to 7:25, it looks like they just modified the lighting in the editing process.

This was from a YouTube video I was watching where they were able to sharpen the image posted by MT5. Looks pretty good.

No more Eurofighters being developed?

Not trying to be pushy, but do you think we could expect at least 1 more update on the progress of the eurofighter before the end of the year? -

Progress pictures on the Eurofighter Typhoon
JOYFUL_CLOVR replied to DashTrueGrit's topic in DCS: Eurofighter
Usually companies have teams working on different projects to facilitate staying on track for their road map. I will say though since the invasion of Ukraine and the displacement of team members it may not be like that right now. If you're not familiar with what I'm talking about, check out this article from stormbirds: https://stormbirds.blog/2022/10/29/an-update-on-the-dcs-f-4-phantom/ -
Progress pictures on the Eurofighter Typhoon

This is dependent on if the same team working on the F-4 is also working on the EF2k. I'm sure that HB has multiple teams working on different projects. -
You could ask around on Growling Sidewinder's discord server. He has a bot in his discord that allows you to track your k/d on his DCS server.

I've read through your previous posts... At the end of the day, this is a game, and for ~97% of the player base this is a past time, and an outlet of fun. One could argue that NO module is made 100% to it's real life counterpart. I think it was important for HB to set the expectation early with the fact that this is an "amalgamation" build which gives HB/TG some leeway in terms of what to build. With that in mind, you shouldn't need to scrutinize any possibility of a system just because YOU haven't seen public data on the matter. Remember, the lead person on this project is a previous Eurofighter pilot. If you're that worried about this module being a waste in terms of realism, don't buy it. Nothing, and let me be clear, NOTHING in DCS is perfect, and we should take everything with a grain of salt. Sit back, relax, and have some fun

While I predominantly main the f-16 (for now), I do try to fly all my modules just to keep my skills up in them. I've been on an F-15 bender lately.

Honestly my biggest issue (no fault to RAZBAM) is there are so few MP servers for this map and the ones that are there are void of players. I want to PvP on that map so bad.
-
While I don't think we will have access to PIRATE in the first iteration that we are receiving (ESPECIALLY with EA), it's certainly possible, we are getting a "frankenstein" build after all. It all depends on if there is enough declassified information available to HB to model it and if so, it would come down to their decision to move forward.

I know we are getting the German varient but goddamn I hope this livery is released with it. Or at least a high resolution downloadable option.
