  1. This is my 1st DCS modding. T-Tail Twin Jets mod project. vol.1 : McDonnell Douglas DC-9 (-30) and MD-83 (-81/82/88) --- version 0.0.5 on 28th/Jan./2024 . MD-81/82/88s have the same shape to MD-83 (different engine power or fuel amount, cockpit architecture). I have a future plan to add Boeing 717 (MD-95) variant, but its priority is not high.   2. I'll publish this mod in 1 week. "KTHY" paint is fictional ! That body model is MD-83 instead of historical MD-90.
  3. My same version DCS + SA map isn't trouble with ME ruler tool, no crashing. How about DCS Repair ?
  4. Yes ! I agree it. In testing A-4E-C v2.1.0 on DCS 2.7.18 .30765 or 2.8.0 .33006 --- A-4E makes DCSW crashing only on 2.7.18 .30765 .
  5. Hi. Your skins are great addition. Missing Default entries in ME's paint scheme menu is a common trouble not only ships (or mods) but also aircrafts / cars and ED official contents. I don't know why .... DCS World behaves so. The Liveries / xxx / Default folder doesn't need dds files. OK only with the description.lua file of livery = { } code. I think smart and no loss disk space. Another strange result comes though .... Default item becomes duplicated (same result of choosing each items).
  6. Those four wind turbines were added in patch 2.7.15 .26783 ob on 22/Jun./2022 , and usable by everyone as Eight Ball said. Its stable release date was unknown (changelog is missing), but at least 08/Sep./2022's 2.7.17 .29493 should have them. (Or 04/Aug./2022's 2.7.16 .28157 might)

It means tangent on maximum yaw angle of front wheel. 75 degrees : tand_gear_max = 3.73 , -- (F/A-18C) 45 degrees : tand_gear_max = 1.00 , -- (AV-8B NA) 30 degrees : tand_gear_max = 0.577 , -- (A-10, L-39C, C-130, KC-135) Or some variable code might be written instead of a static value ; much bigger value set in low speed ?

In my testing A-4E-C mod v2.1.0 on DCS World 2.8.0.33006 openbeta with A-4E's Instant Actions (Caucasus or Marianas / Takeoff or Cold Start), A-4E looks a bit (perhaps 5cm or 10 cm) falling in its ground mission starting , but not so big value like 1m. One reason I can think; mod's update failed like some same named files not overwritten. How about once clean-up A-4E-C mod folder from your Mods/aircraft/ and install the latest v2.1.0 ?

  13. How about applying "Reset XForm" and "Collapse" after rotating the model ? This operation may reset all sub-nodes' orientation. Some reworks or parameter reminds maybe needed.
  14. That looks like not to follow DCS's rule. As SkateZilla wrote, DCS models are in X+ Right / X- Left , Y+ Front / Y- Back , Z+ Up / Z- Down coordinate. Each abc_klm_pos(,,) lines in lua means (Front or Back, Up or Down, Right or Left) ; equaling (Y, Z, X) in model's coordinate. Or ? that orientation mismatch might cause the undercarriage breaking ? not sure not sure ...
  15. Hi. Some areas of Persian Gulf are shallow hard to know its depth from map view (enough far from the coasts or islands, though). Such less depth causes ships' grounding .... cannot move any more. When you set the same waypoints of HMS Hermes with other ships like USS Stennis or HMS Invincible, they can move as you plan or not like Hermes ? If the result will be same to Hermes with other official ships ..... HMS Hermes mod aren't responsible about it. Sea / Gulf's depth can be seen in Mission Editor's bottom line --- Alt column. Its minus value shows the depth of the place under the mouse cursor. We can check that our missions' ship waypoints have enough depth with it.
  16. About HL, I make available ZU-23's Red body on DSHK variant <-- -> DSHK's White body on ZU-23 variant. Only adding ZU-23's White folder and DSHK's Red folder causes each models' default paint schemes missing. I added Default folders for each. (Similar behavior was also seen and same operation was needed about tt70 LC.) description.lua files were generated by ModelViwer2.   18. In my looking around, those technicals' liveries folder names maybe incorrect. And each seasons' textures were not drawn. Those folders might be only placeholders. But user skins maybe available with correct folder structures under MySavedGames. (not to rename or add folders under CoreMods). "HL_dshk" for "Scout HL with DSHK 12.7mm" instead of "ttHL_dshk". "HL_kord" for "Scout HL with KORD 12.7mm" instead of "ttHL_kord". "TT_dshk" for "Scout LC with DSHK 12.7mm" instead of "tt70_dshk". "TT_kord" for "Scout LC with KORD 12.7mm" instead of "tt70_kord". Correct description.lua files have to be written by ourselves for each skins newly drawn. ZU-23 AAA variants and B8M1 rocket variants are not researched yet. Correct folder names can be found in each lua files under CoreMods/tech/TechWeaponPack/Database/vehicles/.
  19. How about removing collisions from undercarriage ? I have less information about collisions and damages , cannot instruct them for you.
  20. Hi, does this trouble still need some help ? The movie looks like main (left and right) gears get damaged and separated in physics calculation, it leads the fuserage sinking .... fuserage doesn't have a collision .... pivot (0, 0, 0) goes under the ground .... exploding judgement is done ! I cannot figure out why gears get damaged. Main wheels' collisions are too low ? not following the suspension's animation shorten by Gravity ? too weak values set in the flightmodel ? Umm .... The tail wheel submerging maybe the mismatch of nose_gear_pos value in the lua. How about decreasing its second (Z position) value ? Or its suspension stroke value (optional in lua) is too big than its animation ? Its default (no value set) stroke maybe fitting to modern jets' nose gear and too big for WWII tail gear.
  21. DC-10 is now a part of CAM (v0.87 - 0.88) as Geschirre says, but bambino's great looking skins have not been contained in it or published as an additional skin archive. I have only skins of swissair and FedEx for DC-10 of CAM. Layered template or white clean source data are also not available. That makes us too hard to draw new historical skins of DC-10 by ourselves. By the way, my DC-9 (-30) + MD-83 (81/82/88) mod project is near to publish. 3D modeling phase is done. 2D texturing + Normal map works are under going. In this month without any troubles ?
  22. No. I cannot show the correct number, but about .... 40 GB bigger ? 20 GB = SA map expansion. ( 5 GB = Marianas map expansion ... when you forget ) 9 GB = Mirage F1 AI common resources. 3 GB = MB-339 AI common resources. 2 GB = Ground units newly added. 1 GB = New aircraft Liveries officially added to the install. Rest 110 GB may replace existing files.
