[CHK] WMD7 Pod Looses Lock and Resets in MP only
Napillo replied to Pavlin_33's topic in Bugs and Problems
You can't point track a dead target. -
that doesn't seem to do anything. I think it should update the cueing, but it doesnt.
-
It's not though, the fact is, a larger antenna can pick up weaker signals - that's a fact.
-
Yea, the SD10 is only 9 years newer, so of course technology hasn't changed much in 9 years between 1996 and 2005, no nothing at all changed in that time. There's no way the SD-10 could have more advanced processors and power supplies, and antenna designs..
-
they need the track file without the mods.
-
The diameter of the AIM-120 (hence its radar sensor maximum area) is 7 inches. That equals about a 38.5 square inches sensor. The SD-10 / PL-12 on the other hand, diameter is 7.9 inches, which equals around 49 square inches. Theoretically, that gives the SD-10 / PL-12 about 27% more sensitivity than an AIM-120, and that's assuming the same radar emitter power.
-
I tried it, gave up after a while because I couldn't get past the airshow, all I could see was empty sky.
-
I heard rumors it could support a PL-7, which is similar to the Magic R.550 - the weight is correct, not sure if the mounting is, but it would be a nice boost for SP missiles.
-
there isn't any. Are you talking about the +/- switch? To use that, push the arrow next to the number you want to change and then hit + or -, it'll change. It takes a few seconds to exit out of editing mode, to allow you to + to another channel, but the change is instant. You can just keep flying, or press the arrow next to it if you aren't busy.
-
It won't always get it, I mean when the aggressor turns cold is when the missile has to turn on its seeker. The missile being on the outer is fine, it can't tell the distance from those, just the angle, so the most accurate angle is around the outside of the circle.
-
That prevents flameout. Lower it to the lockout, and wait for your speed to drop. You can disable lockout, but then your engine is likely to flame out unless you know what you're doing. Lockout is at around 1.20 mach.
-
Also, regarding the range to the contact, the RWR by itself isn't going to give you the range to the radar ping, it will give you basically just the bearing and a signal strength - based estimate of the range. If you want the RWR ranging, then you need the SPJ powered on and at least in standby, and then you'll get the range to the ping. re: your screenshot - it looks like you don't have datalink turned on. Tune com2 to 199 and change that NE- into NE+ so it becomes NES and you may have to toggle the SLAV/MAST to get it to NES.
-
The rings are 1/3 the range. If you put your HSD at 30nm and your radar at 40nm, then the rings will match up with the tick marks on the radar. ex: 2nd ring is exactly half the range (20nm) and third ring is 3/4 the range. Same for 60nm hsd + 80nm radar.

Rb-04E already is for the viggen, it does 50% damage no matter what, so having the 802AK hit when people tell it to fly low seems fine to me. Also, you should protect your carriers with some other ships. They never go at it alone (unlike those poorly written missions in DCS). Plus it doesn't do nearly enough damage.
-
I tried to build it but some parts weren't in stock, and some parts from the bom aren't really part numbers.
-
that's why they have it fly low, so that it'll be difficult to spot...
-
I've seen this, where it will say its IR, but it's clearly CCD, frustrating at times, when I actually want to use the camera. It's super bright even if it's night time or dusk.
-
that seems by design, INS is just that, INS, it's not GPS. also seems by design, it's looking at what you locked last before you unlocked. I mean, you could be lasing a target while you're engaging an air to air target, seems fine to me.
-
A track file would tell us if you're doing it right.
-
Still need INS with the SD-10, and shortcutting it by using the Aim-120 scheme doesn't seem to help.
-
It seems to behave more like the 120B, of course the missile is thicker than the 120, but that's about it, steering fin seems to have a notch and maybe it's slightly longer, giving it better steering, it should be able to pull more G, and it can go faster, but it's a bit less aerodynamic since it's thicker, hence why it's better at higher altitudes - larger steering fins give it a better turn rate, and the dual impulse motor helps it pick up more speed. Those things should auto loft.
-
not related to my question at all. I know it has the seeker of the R-77.
-
Does the SD-10 schema use the radar calculations used for the KLJ radar?

[FIXED] TDC cursor in DBS1/2 mode is too sensitive
Napillo replied to aerojet029's topic in Bugs and Problems
it's like the crosshair just gets big, so when you move it a tiny hair it moves the same amount it would have moved if you weren't in exp/dbs/dbs2, which is too much. -
not really, you can't ask ground crew to put it on. They could change that.
