There's been multiplayer tanker missions already, but I'm not entirely sure if it worked for everyone. It's certainly still a WIP, but this is one of the quintessential multiplayer type activities so hopefully it'll be 100% compatible with MP.

[/url]This video is a pretty close approximation to my flight path close to the tanker. Keeping speed was a big problem for me too. It might be the tanker, the one I was trying to connect to was going at like 270 KIAS. So catching up meant I had to do wave moments - pitch down to speed up to catch up, but then pitch up to get back to it's level and slowing down in the meantime.

Yeah, I was getting a lot of lockups, hiccups and eventually a crash with this too. Which is really odd since there's really nothing complex about this mission and not that much active AI.

Pretty sure that "enhanced" beta 3 patch is already out. They needed to fix some install issues, not any key mapping things. No new features, just installs without problems.

I played Falcon 4 waaaay back when it came out. Turning down water has seemed to help me some, these are the settings I use on my iCore 7 920, 6GB RAM and Ndivia 470 GTX that I get 60 FPS usually, down to 30 or so in combat and 17 in non optimized areas.

Go under titles, find DCS: A-10C and change it's profile to the new one you wanted to use. Those curves should be changing if you change profiles. Here's what mine's setup as: If you're using Wags' setup make sure you're seeing curves like those and not flat lines, like the default.

General consensus is that you don't need one, just map everything in game. This post details how to do that.

I'm not sure if you use different profiles for different games, but I ended up just moving all profiles but the DCS one out of the profiles folder so TrackIR has not choice but to use the right one. :)

Thinking back I think I might have used the coords to name a waypoint of the initial point rather than make a new one... oops! :) Really like the late evening setting though. Going to try it again and see if I can't get better results. Yup! That's exactly what I did, added it backwards. :) Those SAMs ate me up when I got there though. :( Back at it!

Erm, that's exactly what it does, are you sure you're loading it correctly for DCS?

Basically just makes the game easier to fly. You'll be more stablized in level flight and won't stall as easily as you would in Sim mode. It's a "fake" feel to flight really. You're doing the right thing by playing with those modes off. It's a muuuch more rewarding experience and you'll learn the right way of flying which should help you even in other games. Like I was always totally in flight sims, but after practicing in A-10C and getting it down I'm now able to land like a pro in FSX and ArmA 2!

I use Wags' profile and it works just great for me.

I tried to refuel again last night. Incoherent rage was all I got from it. I'm simply unable to hold level flight I guess? Couldn't even do autopilot, since even though I enabled it during level flight, it pitched up wildly...

Tried it again. I moved the planes to the far end of the runway in order to allow me to take off. I also switched the Player and Client A-10s since the one for "Player" had the "AI search and engage" action which wouldn't do much for a player. By the time I took off the AI guy had finished the mission, I got the "That'll teach them - RTB" message... I still flew towards the 2 waypoint and finally got the message about a new mission. I accepted it and got the message: So I entered that into my EGI, set my steerpoint there, slewed TGP to it, found some vehicles and stuff, engaged them with Mavs... and it was about the time my second mav took out the control tower that I realized those coordinates I was given for my target was Koptinari Airfield... Oops?

To pick a specific unit on the ground, click on it from the F10 map, then press F7 and your camera will start with that unit. Hanger doors should open as soon as you unpause at the start.

Well, I sunk into the taxiway also. :( Regarding comms though, I was able to get startup and taxi permission no problem, but I didn't see any information about flight or JTAC or other possible comms in the mission description or briefing. Did I miss something?

The mere act of trimming causes your plane to accelerate or decelerate since your pitch has changed now, causing you to have to trim again. :doh: Attached is a track of my practicing trim. Does the amount of movement seem normal for you guys? First I trimmed to level flight, but it kept slowly see-sawing. Then I dropped that large bomb and re-trimmed. Then the small ones. Finally I trimmed again and it seemed pretty stable but I was slightly nose up. I gently tapped the trim nose down and ended up doing a wave pattern movement and lost 2000 ft altitude eventually. Finally I reset trim and bank off to the right, probably since I had the TGP there pulling me down. trim.trk
