Lock On Platinum is all the LOMAC stuff in one product. It'll replace LOMAC and FC2, it's kind of a "Gold" or "GOTY" edition.

This cleared up the green screen thing for me, but then I crashed just after takeoff. Mind you I had to take off from the taxi way since my moron wingman was parked just in front of the runway blocking it and the tower wouldn't respond to radio calls to let me taxi or anything. I really would like to try the campaigns, but over three betas simply none of them have worked at all for me...

I must be doing it wrong than. I'll tap it say, once and it'll slowly start to move, but then it'll over compensate and keep going, so I tap it again the other direction and that'll just go too far again. Even wing up/down never remains centered it always slowly tilts the wrong way or too far. Someone should do a video about trimming, since I'm obviously not understanding it right. :)

Wow, that was a fantastic show, thanks for sharing! The story of that ejecting was sobering.

I used SFJackBauer's great config, it's a two part config using both SST profile and in game mappings.

When I was using the X52 I tried the little thumb slider for Zoom. Problem is it is so sensitive that it would "flicker" the zoom constantly, a real pain.

I've never gotten trim to work. I end up constantly retrimming and overtrimming endlessly. Far more work than simply holding the stick where it needs to be. Black Shark's trim system was great. A-10C's is a nightmare.

Get him the HOTAS Warthog. No more needing the keyboard for anything. Start the engine by simply pushing the throttle forward! He'll even get the satisfaction of the nice chucky switches for starting the APU and autopilot giving him a sense for what clicking the switches in game is really like. Really though, this is quite a bit more of a simulator than a "game". If you want simple and fun to fly, pickup HAWX2 for the X-Box or something.

For a beta product that would be acceptable, but for a retail product it's not. It was clear the map wouldn't be finished by retail so rather than leave in an unfinished and buggy map and take away resources from finishing the rest of the product they wisely removed it entirely and deferred development on it till a time when they'd have more resources for it without adversely affecting the rest of the game.

Updated with some new Beta 3 skins for Korea and oddly enough Nellis. A few proper names added, but still some duplicated or wrong entries remain.

If you mean my screenshot, it's working just fine for me. It actually says "Joystick HOTAS Warthog" and "Throttle HOTAS Warthog". The Thrustmaster Warthog is seen as two separate devices by DCS/FC2. I do all my configuring in game and works just fine for me. That screenshot was just for people to see where to load the defaults from. Personally I do as little in the SST software as possible since it's a pain having to always load a profile from that, then load up TrackIR with the right profile, then make sure the right other mappings are in LOMAC and so on. :joystick:

When you loaded the profile, did you click in the X52 column first or just on one of the keyboard column entries? That'll change where the keys are actually mapped. Also make sure you're mapping controls for the plane you're going to be flying, from the drop down top left of the Options page.

Don't feel bad! I'm using Z and X for rudder now since the Warthog financially ruined me. :doh:

Check the Christmas Cheer link in my sig. Way simple landing practice mission. All you need to do is drop the gear and flaps and bring her home. Once you get the actual landing part down then you can deal with all the ILS and radio and EGI things the landing training deals with.

You paid $60 for a game that will be released hopefully by the end of 2010. You're still going to get that (and probably need to deal with slow download speeds then as well). You didn't pay for instant download of a beta version of it. You're not being denied anything. Torrent is only as fast as the seeds can handle. Just because you're on a "Fast" connection (remember Cable is shared connection, on paper it might be 6MBS, but your share of that isn't 100%). Like I said, I downloaded from HTTP1 the other night, 1.8GB in 27 minutes. Their capacity is just fine, they are just busy. I'd suggest calming down, getting a grip and just try again later. The product you paid for will be available in a few months, don't worry.
